June 2006 -- Former
N'Sync member Joey Fatone, merengue singer Olga Tañon
and "7th Heaven" star/ "Entertainment Tonight"
correspondent Carlos Ponce were among the 400 guests who gathered
at La Iglesia de San Jose in Villa Caparra, Puerto Rico on June
3, 2006 to witness telenovela actress Adamari Lopez, victorious
over her fight against breast cancer, wed Latin singing sensation
Luis Fonsi.
Ten bridesmaids
and groomsmen walked down the aisle before the bride made her
grand entrance in a strapless ivory gown by Colombian-born designer
Gustavo Arango, which she paired with a lace veil and a dainty
tiara.
Following the mid-afternoon
ceremony, the newlyweds ventured to the Caribe Hilton in San
Juan, where the bride, who had changed into another equally
ethereal Gustavo Arango creation, enjoyed performances by Milly
Quezada and El Gran Combe de Puerto Rico along with reggaeton,
disco and hits of the 80's at a reception decorated with arrangements
of orchids, lilacs and white roses by Hojas Siempre Verdes.
After honeymoon
getaway, the couple will be busy writing thank you notes for
the gifts they received from family and friends from their wedding
registries at Macy's, which listed pieces of Villeroy &
Boch china and Baccarat stemware, and Neiman Marcus, where a
Tumi travel case and Del Conte picture frames were on the wish
list.
