Who:Singer
Marc Anthony and Miss Universe Dayanara Torres When:
May 2000 and Dec. 7, 2002 Where:
Las Vegas (2000) and San Juan, Puerto
Rico (2002) The
Ceremonies: If one wedding is wonderful, then two must be
spectacular. The first ceremony which united the couple was
held in Las Vegas, a small even with just a handful of witnesses.
Not so for the second ceremony, a grand event with over 200
guests (not to mention hundreds of fans outside). Held in Old
San Juan's nearly 500-year-old San Juan Cathedral, the event
was a traditional ceremony which included the couple's son. The
Dress: At the 2002 ceremony, the bride wore a Reem Acra
buchesse gown dotted with seed pearls and glistening with Swarovski
crystals. A tulle veil completed the look. The
Reception: From the church, the wedding guests strolled
down Old San Juan's cobblestones streets to Cuartel de Ballaja,
historic military barracks dating back to the mid-19th century.
The site was decorated with a cocktail tent, a dinner tent,
and a dance tent reminiscent of a Moroccan tent. Seeing Stars: The reception was a musical event--no surprise with guests like Lance Bass from N'Sync and Lowie D from Backstreet Boys. A Special Moment: The couple's son joined his parents at the altar.
