The Ceremony: Five hundred fans braved the frigid temperature as they waited outside the Notre Dame Basilica to witness their idol's arrival to the house of worship for an afternoon communion mass. Elaborate biblical carvings surrounding the altar silently blessed the couple's union as Canadian television viewers watched from the comfort of home.

The Dress: The woman destined to become pop music's reigning queen donned a regal silk creation lavishly embellished with hand-sewn pearls by designers Mirella and Steve Gentile, which featured a sweetheart neckline showcasing a delicate diamond necklace, a twenty-foot train (which was attended to by the bride's eight sisters) and cornet sleeves which harmonized with the billowing ballroom skirt. To compliment a gown which took 1,000 hours to complete, the bride donned a seven pound tiara composed of 2,000 Austrian crystals, to which a cathedral-length veil was attached.

The Reception: As artificial snowflakes drifted gently to the floor of the Hotel Westin Mont-Royal's ballroom to the serene strains of a twenty-one piece orchestra, couples swayed to the vocal renderings of Warren Wiebe, who performed Celine's hit "The Color of My Love". Five hundred-thirty guests then nibbled on a mountainous French profiterole wedding cake, which was topped with pastel roses gathered together in a Christmas tree formation.
