Philadelphia Phillies Star Shane Victorino's Wedding

As former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Jon Gosselin deals with the end of his love story, the reality personality returned to Hawaii-- where he had renewed his vows one year before-- to witness the start of another couple's life together as husband and wife.

On November 14, 2009, Pacific Coast News reports that Shane Victorino of the Philadelphia Phillies said "I do" to Melissa Smith at a church which looks out on the school the baseball hero once attended in Wailuku, Maui.

Following the exchange of vows, the newlyweds and their 300 guests, which also included baseball star Jimmy Rollins and UFC wrestler Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell (who had stood by the groom in the role of best man) celebrated the couple's marital status at the Sugarman Estate, where The Flyin' Hawaiian and his bride were spotted flashing the baseball star's signature Shaka sign.

Slipknot Frontman Corey Taylor's Wedding

The thrashing guitar riffs of Metallica's "For Whom The Bell Tolls" may sound ominous to some, but it was music to the ears of Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor as he watched his love Stephanie Luby walk down the aisle to the heavy metal song on Friday the 13th.

Having rocked the world's arenas as the lead singer of the Grammy-winning band since the late 1990's, the Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas was an apt venue for the couple's exchange of vows on November 13, 2009. Although their love was not to last a lifetime (both would go on to marry others after parting ways in 1968) the pair always carried the memory of the day when Britt-- in a silk brocade wedding dress and tiara-- and her newly pronounced husband posed for posterity at their Hollywood home during a reception attended by Frank Sinatra and Peter Lawford.

Actress Marla Sokoloff's Wedding

Over the course of her acting career Marla Sokoloff, a star on the Emmy-winning ABC series The Practice, has portrayed a bride on five different occasions. No doubt the imaginary I do's (one of which can be seen in the following photos from the Hallmark Channel original movie Flower Girl) proved to be good experience for her own wedding day, which took place on November 8, 2009.

A profusion of petals from deep red roses and other autumn-hued botanical beauties from Mark's Garden perfumed the outdoor Chapel Garden area of Il Cielo restaurant in Beverly Hills as five bridesmaids and two matrons of honor strolled down the aisle before the lady of the hour made her grand entrance, WeddingChannel.com reports. One hundred friends and family members rose in honor of the bride, who clutched a bouquet of white blossoms as she walked past, the flicker of candlelight and tiny twinkle lights giving a warm glow to her white, strapless silk Amsale silhouette as she stood beside her fiance since October 2008, musician Alec Puro.

Following the exchange of vows, the newlyweds and their guests sampled slices of a wedding cake from Buttercake Bakery after enjoying a feast of Italian fare.

Fans can see the bride in a small screen ceremony when the Hallmark Channel original movie Flower Girl debuts on November 14, 2009.

Mark Owen of Take That Marries

As Take That fans await the November 30th release of the group's live CD The Greatest Day, on November 8, 2009 band member Mark Owen experienced a day which lived up to the album's title as he said "I do" to the mother of his two children, Emma Ferguson.

As though symbolizing a fresh start, two bridesmaids in white dresses designed with handkerchief hemlines walked down the aisle of Cawdor Parish Church before the bride-- who has been engaged to the singer since 2006-- made her grand entrance inside the house of worship. Clutching a bouquet of white blossoms, the bride's lace-edged veil draped down the back of her white wedding dress as she made her way to the altar where the groom-- who had donned an aubergine-hued, velvet coat and top hat for the occasion-- waited to make her his wife.

Following the nuptials, Hello Magazine reports that 50 family members and friends-- including the groom's band mates Gary Barlow, Jason Orange and Howard Donald-- wished the newlyweds happiness during a reception held at Cawdor Castle in the Scottish highlands.

Ivanka Trump's Wedding

"Just finished a gorgeous hike. The leaves are spectacular and the sun is shining. Everything is simply perfect! I'm getting married today!" Ivanka Trump Tweeted to her Twitter followers just hours before her walk down the aisle. No doubt the sunlight danced on the facets of the bride's 5.22-carat cushion-cut diamond engagement ring, which was joined by a wedding band later that day as the businesswoman and boardroom judge of The Celebrity Apprentice and New York Observer owner Jared Kushner, her fiance since July 2009, were pronounced husband and wife on October 25, 2009.

Inspired by the quiet elegance of Grace Kelly, the bride was a vision in a Vera Wang creation as she made her grand entrance, People magazine reported. The sparkle of a $90,000 platinum and diamond bracelet, $130,000 diamond and platinum earrings and $45,000 platinum and diamond hairpiece adding an extra glint of glamor as she strolled past a gathering of the more than 500 guests who had received Tiffany's invitations, including friends who had attended her August 22nd bachelorette party along the Hudson River as well as such glitterati as Natalie Portman, Russell Crowe and Barbara Walters. All looked on as the couple, whose bond was further strengthened by a faith which they now both share, were united as one in an Orthodox Jewish ceremony.

Following the nuptials, guests converged at a reception designed by event planner Preston Bailey, where attendees sampled slices of a Sylvia Weinstock-concocted cake as talk show host Regis Philbin serenaded the crowd. As the evening wore on, father of the bride Donald Trump raised his glass in a toast that summed up a priceless day of joy: "Be happy and enjoy your life."

Following a planned honeymoon excursion to Africa, the newlyweds will be busy writing Thank You notes for the many items received from their wedding registry list, which ranged from a sterling silver footed bowl from Tiffany's worth $1,350 to $3.95 cotton lapis napkins from Crate & Barrel.

"The Bold and The Beautiful" Star Ronn Moss Marries

Although Brooke Logan Forrester and Taylor Hayes Forrester's tug-of-war for the love of Ridge Forrester may forever stay a perpetual plotline on the CBS soap The Bold and The Beautiful, only one woman holds the heart of actor Ronn Moss-- his real life leading lady and new bride, Devin Devasquez.

As the sun began to sink into the horizon over Los Angeles on September 25, 2009, the one-time Playboy Playmate stepped out from a horse-drawn Cinderella carriage and began her walk toward the gazebo where her groom-- dressed in a black tuxedo paired with a white vest and tie-- waited to make her his wife. Clutching a rainbow assortment of flowers, the happy hues mirroring the individualized color of each bridesmaids gown, the bride smiled at the gathered guests who admired her strapless wedding dress, consisting of a curve-conscious bodice which flowed into a full, pick-up skirt.

A brother on the small screen and a friend in real life, actor Winsor Harmon took on the role of groomsman, while the actor who introduced the couple, former B&B cast member Lorenzo Lamas, stood by as best man. Both stars, along with bridesmaids Cindy Margolis and the groom's daughters Creason and Calle, looked on as Moss-- who had long ago begun wearing his wedding band on a chain around his neck, he had confided to Ninemsn's Woman's Day-- slipped a ring on his bride's finger as stuntman Wally Crowder pronounced the pair husband and wife, Digital Spy reports.

As former soap star/Hell's Kitchen winner Jennifer Ellison and semi-pro pugilist Robbie Tickle await the arrival of their first child at the start of the new year, the happy couple celebrated the birth of a new life together as husband and wife on October 10, 2009.

Although television viewers had watched her fictional walk down the aisle during her stint on Brookside, the Daily Mail reports that only two guests gathered in the garden of the Four Seasons Hotel in Anahita, Mauritius to witness the bride--dressed in an empire-wait Jenny Packham creation-- exchange vows with her love of the past 17 months.

"Mad Men" Star Christina Hendricks' Wedding

Both friends and fans are accustomed to the sight of actress Christina Hendricks dressed in designs from the early 1960's for her role in the AMC hit series Mad Men, but on October 11, 2009 the TV star donned a Carolina Herrera creation that married classic and contemporary styles for her "I do" to Geoffrey Arend, People magazine reports.

Guests gathered at Il Buco restaurant in New York City may have felt as though they had passed through a time portal as they watched bridesmaids walk down the aisle in designs that evoked an earlier era. Their individuality displayed in each garment, dresses ranged from a scarlet silhouette to porcelain blue paired with illusion, while feathered fascinators clung to their coifs. In contrast, the bride's alabaster skin was bathed in an ivory fils coupe design which showcased her hourglass frame, while a lace-edged veil added an ethereal element to her Titian tresses.

Harmonizing with the fall foliage of her bouquet, a pair of russet-hued shoes carried the bride to her groom at the start of a ceremony in which the actress-- holding out a hand decorated in mendhi designs-- received a platinum Tacori wedding band sprinkled with pave-set diamonds to accompany her vintage engagement ring.

Formula One Racer Giancarlo Fisichella's Wedding

Formula One driver Giancarlo Fisichella may be accustomed to accelerated speeds behind the wheel, but on October 10, 2009 the Ferrari pilot no doubt found his own heart racing at the sight of his bride as she made her grand entrance inside the Church of San Lorenzo in Lucina, Rome.

Peering out from behind a lace-edged veil, former showgirl Luna Castellani saw the father of her two children waiting for her as she walked down the aisle in a traditional wedding gown, the hem of its voluminous skirt gently brushing the white aisle runner which led a path to the altar, where the next chapter of the couple's 15-year love story began as the pair were pronounced husband and wife, Il Messaggero reports.

His mobile phone empire has produced millions of "rings" over the years, but on October 10, 2009 Charles Dunstone-- co-founder of The Carphone Warehouse-- was thinking only of the wedding ring which he presented to his bride, Celia Gordon Shute.

A gathering of glitterati, including Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon (who was among the attendees at the groom's sailing stag party on the Isle of Wight, the Telegraph reports), Girls Aloud member Sarah Harding and former Prime Minister Tony Blair converged at Christ Church Spitalfields in London on a sun-splashed fall day to witness the couple-- who became betrothed in December 2008-- exchange vows.

Elvis Presley Wedding Reception Photos Up For Bid at Auction

More than three decades after his untimely passing, the king of rock 'n' roll still holds court in the hearts of his fans, many of whom will gather at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in Chicago on October 18th as an auction of Elvis Presley memorabilia gets underway. From a high school year book that chronicles his freshman year, to records which preserved on vinyl the vibrating beat of the birth of contemporary music, to even a hunka hunka hair from his famous 1958 Army haircut, numerous items from longtime Elvis friend Gary Pepper will go under the gavel, including a few of interest to retro romantics.

Gazing into each other's eyes on their wedding day, no doubt Elvis and Priscilla Presley saw a bright future ahead-- an intimate moment captured by an unknown artist who created two pastel portraits of the King and his Queen in their wedding wear. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, one held a place of prominence for many years at Graceland-- the other is now up for auction. The couple's smiles were also snapped in a series of black and white photos and negatives which comprise Lot #129, each offering insight into the pair's wedding reception in Memphis, Tennessee on May 29, 1967.

Previews of the items will be held on October 15th from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., and on October 16 - 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Country Music Star Holly Williams' Wedding

While most brides wait until well after the ceremony to pose for a trash the dress portrait, country music singer Holly Williams didn't mind the mud marks and rips on her Vera Wang wedding wear at the conclusion of her "I do" day. The stains and shredded fabric symbolize the bride's joyful exuberance on September 27, 2009, when she was pronounced the wife of drummer Chris Coleman.

Nature served as the couple's cathedral as guests rose in honor of the bride from rows of church pews set out on the grounds of the Cedarwood estate in Nashville as the lady of the hour strolled down the aisle with her father-- country music great Hank Williams, Jr.-- who escorted his daughter to her groom.

According to People magazine, Kid Rock, Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts and Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill (who took on the role of a groomsman) were among the friends and family members to witness the pair--who had become betrothed while on a picnic in Leipers Fork, Tennessee in July 200-- exchange vows. Following the nuptials, the newlyweds-- the groom on drums and the bride at the mic-- entertained their guests with a rousing rendition of a song that summed up the happy occasion, Stevie Wonder's "Signed, Sealed, Delivered."

Clutching a bouquet of purple, yellow and ivory blossoms, the bride smiled at the gathering of guests as she strolled past in a strapless Stephen Yearick creation, its beauty enhanced with the addition of a diaphanous veil which clung to her neatly coiffed chignon.

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom's Wedding

Reality personality Khloe Kardashian enjoyed a fantasy wedding on September 27, 2009 with her love of the past month, Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom. A steady stream of stars, including Kobe and Vanessa Bryant, Kelly Osbourne, Adrienne Bailon, Ryan Seacrest, Alan Thicke, Lola Vasquez and Brittany Gastinau, gathered at the estate of music manager Irving Azoff to witness a wedding arranged perhaps in haste, but with a lot of heart.

Clutching a bouquet of roses, lilies of the valley and stephanotis, the bride began her walk down the aisle with her escort, Olympic champion and stepfather Bruce Jenner. Taking on the dual role of maids of honor were sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, while siblings Kendall and Kylie Jenner joined three of Khloe's close friends as bridesmaids. Donning dresses which ranged from a heliotrope hue to a dreamy aubergine, the female family members filed down the aisle with the bride, who had donned a strapless, white Vera Wang creation accented with a lavender sash to tie in with the colors of her wedding party, People magazine reported.

A 10-piece orchestra provided the soundtrack for the early evening event, in which the bride received a wedding band to accompany her 9-carat diamond engagement ring.

Following the nuptials, the newlyweds swayed to the sound of Anita Baker's "Angel" for their first dance, then enjoyed a moving rendition of "You Are So Beautiful," as performed by Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds during a reception in which 250 family members and friends sampled slices of a cake created by Hansen's Bakery and servings of filet mignon and wild salmon fillet. As guests departed, each received cupcakes as a sweet souvenir of a day when two souls were united as one.

"American Idol" Runner-Up Justin Guarini's Wedding

Although he's not scheduled to step inside a recording studio until this winter, no doubt Justin Guarini felt like singing on September 26, 2009 as he and his love Reina Capodici were pronounced husband and wife.

Far from the world of glitterati, the groom returned to Doylestown, Pennsylvania-- the community where the American Idol season one runner-up first met his future bride during their days in high school-- to begin his new life as a married man. The performer, who plans to pen songs for his third CD, expressed his emotions in handwritten vows, as did the bride as the couple stood in front of a female minister of the Universalist Church. Making their I do's a family affair, the bride's young daughter Lola also spoke during the ceremony, People magazine reported.

As music is a driving force in the life of the TV Guide co-host of Idol Tonight, songs by Paramore, Radiohead and Peter Gabriel-- as interpreted by the Vitamin String Quartet-- provided a romantic soundtrack for the event, which took place at a private estate.

"My Name is Earl" Star Jaime Pressly's Wedding

Although she was the picture of composure as she posed for photos with members of her wedding party, no doubt on the inside My Name is Earl star Jaime Pressly was jumping for "joy" on September 26, 2009-- the day she said "I do" to entertainment lawyer Simran Singh.

Walking in the footsteps of Melissa Etheridge and Tammy Lynn Michaels and Adam Sandler and his wife Jackie Titone, whose vows once echoed on the Malibu property of Dick Clark, the bride clutched a bouquet of pink and white blossoms as she strolled in a body-conscious creation down a pure white aisle runner which led to her love. Just as the sun began its descent in the southern California sky, the pair-- who became betrothed in July 2009-- exchanged rings carried during the ceremony by Dezi James, the TV star's two-year-old son, US magazine reports.

Lily Allen, Fatboy Slim Guests At Wedding

Although in its former life it was used as a weapon of destruction, a converted Cold War fighter served a peaceful purpose as a vehicle to transport a couple to their wedding venue on the day they embarked on the building of their new life together as husband and wife.

On August 29, 2009, Emily Eavis climbed atop the transfigured warplane with her father, Michael Eavis-- the organizer of The Glastonbury Festival, known as the world's largest outdoor music festival-- for a drive through the streets of Pilton, Somerset in England, waving to wellwishers along the way as their ride guided the bride to Pilton Methodist Chapel, where groom Nick Dewey and 185 friends and family members celebrated the culmination of the couple's six-year romance.

Following the 45-minute ceremony, the Telegraph reports that the newlyweds returned to their residence at Worthy Farm, where songstress Lily Allen and recording artist Fatboy Slim (who won a VMA award in 2001 for his hit "Weapon of Choice") were among the guests who mingled as The Chemical Brothers, serving as DJs, provided the soundtrack for the evening.

Opera Star Denyce Graves' Wedding

In 2001, the crystalline voice of Denyce Graves singing "America The Beautiful" and "The Lord's Prayer" at The Washington National Cathedral helped to heal the hearts of the nation just days after after 9/11. Eight years later, the opera star's voice echoed within the cathedral's walls once again as she said "I do" to her love, Dr. Robert Montgomery on September 12, 2009.

Their two souls already united as one in two previous ceremonies-- an intimate "I do" in June at the same Washington DC venue and an African ceremony at the Masai Mara village in Kenya on August 18, 2009, the happy couple pledged their devotion once again in the presence of family and friends, who witnessed the bride walk down the aisle in an off-the-shoulder silhouette by Donna Langman toward her waiting groom, who stood at the altar in a kilt, People magazine reported.

Lord Freddie Windsor and Actress Sophie Winkleman's Wedding

In the year 1543, the Chapel Royal of Hampton Court Palace echoed with the vows of King Henry VIII and Catherine Parr. Five hundred and sixty-six years later, on September 12, 2009, the former royal residence was once again a silent witness to the start of a new chapter in the ever-unfolding story of the British royal family as Lord Frederick Windsor, the 31st in line to the throne, said "I do" to an actress who once wore a crown as the mature version of Queen Susan the Gentle in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Sophie Winkleman.

Approximately 350 friends and family members, including Princess Eugenie and Lady Helen Taylor, rose in honor of the bride, who clutched a bouquet of ivory-petaled roses as she made her grand entrance in a design by Anna Roza Bistroff for Roza. Her ballgown skirt and 10 ft. train gently sweeping the aisle with each step, the gown's Duchesse satin and silk taffeta was bathed in the warm glow of candlelight as she made her way to the altar.

According to the BBC, the reverential refrains of "Be Thou My Vision," "Dear Lord and Father of Mankind" and "I Vow To Thee My Country," a hymn performed at the 1981 wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, rang out inside the chapel during a ceremony which brought to fruition a Valentine's Day promise of a lifetime together.

Boris Becker's Former Wife Marries

Less than three months after her former husband, tennis legend Boris Becker, exchanged vows with his lady love Sharlely "Lilly" Kerssenberg, Barbara Becker said "I do" on September 9, 2009 to her own perfect love match, artist Arne Quinze.

As home is where the heart is, the couple began their new life together as husband and wife at their Miami, Florida residence with their children from previous relationships present to share in their joy. Perhaps influenced by the swaying palms at their waterfront residence, the pair added Hawaiian-inspired highlights to their trip down the aisle, with the groom draping a lei over the shirt of his all-white ensemble, while the bride tucked white tropical flowers in her hair.

The barefoot bride, who donned a lace-embellished, multi-tiered gown for the occasion, received a wedding band during the ceremony to accompany an engagement ring composed of eight black diamonds, Bild reports. The couple will continue to celebrate their union with a "Gypsy and Rock 'n' Roll"-themed soiree in Potsdam this weekend.

"American Idol" Season One Contestant Jim Verraros' Wedding

He may not have won the top spot on season one of American Idol, but Jim Verraros has long been number one in the heart of Bill Brennan, who became the singer's husband on September 6, 2009 after a four-year romance that began to blossom on MySpace.

Music is a driving force in the entertainer's life, and on his wedding day the notes of Johann Sebastian Bach's "Air" floated on the breeze at the Oak Brook Hills Resort in Oak Brook, Illinois, guiding the performer along a path of white rose petals toward the man he loves. According to People magazine, 174 friends and family members looked on as the partners-- standing amid fragrant arrangements of roses, orchids and white hydrangeas-- expressed their love to one another with personalized vows.

At the reception, guests sampled slices of an Oak Mill Bakery cake embellished with vanilla buttercream icing as the newly wedded entertainer-- looking dapper in his black Ermenegildo Zegna tuxedo-- swayed with his husband to the romantic refrain of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love."

Having accepted the role of a lifetime, on September 5, 2009 Italian actress Isabella Orsini walked the red carpet that led inside the Antoing church, where Prince Edouard Lamoral Rodolphe de Ligne de la Tremoille-- officially her husband for the past two days after their civil ceremony-- waited to once again declare his love for his bride.

Following the exchange of vows, the peal of church bells announced the happy news to the village as the newlyweds waved to the well wishers who had gathered outside the Belgian house of worship. Cherubic children, their hair wreathed in halos of tiny roses, gathered round to watch the bride release a dove-- the sound of its beating wings no doubt matching that of the bride and groom's joy-filled hearts as they climbed into a carriage which whisked them away for post-wedding celebrations.

"The Biggest Loser" Competitors Marry (video)

As a bride-to-be waging a battle of the bulge, Nicole Brewer was a fierce competitor on The Biggest Loser, and while the ultimate winner's reward was not to be hers, the reality personality accomplished her personal goal on August 16, 2009 as she walked down the aisle toward fellow pound-dropping participant Damien Gurganious at the Renaissance of Astoria Hall in a body-hugging Amsale wedding dress.

Although most dread the treadmill, the desire to get into shape brought the soul mates together at a YMCA in 2006. Determined to leave their excess lbs. in the past before they pledged their love, the couple competed in The Biggest Loser: Couples edition, each losing more than 100 pounds in the process-- an accomplishment which continued after their time at the ranch was complete. By the time the twosome tied the knot in Long Island City, Nicole Brewer had gone from a size 24 to a size 8, while her groom-- who once wore size 60 clothing-- looked dapper when he tried on his size 42 Calvin Klein tuxedo at a Men's Wearhouse fitting prior to the pair's exchange of vows, the New York Daily News revealed.

As any couple's "I do" day is meant for indulgence, TMZ reports that the newlyweds joined family and friends in sampling slices of a Bill Jones Epicure cake, which was served after guests dined on crab cake and spring roll appetizers and a main course of sauteed chicken, fish and grilled beef. Following the festivities, the happy couple embarked on a honeymoon excursion to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, US magazine states

The beaming smile on Nicole Brewer's face says it all as she tries on some form-flattering Amsale wedding frocks for US magazine in the months prior to the nuptials.

Sometimes it can be difficult to express emotion in 140 characters or less, but when breaking the happy news of her nuptials to her fans Alyssa Milano's Tweet said it all: "Happiest. Day. Of. My. Life."

On August 15, 2009 a gathering of guests-- including actor Bradley Cooper-- converged on the New Jersey estate belonging to the groom's family to witness the bride, dressed in a Vera Wang creation, follow a fragrant path of cream-hued rose petals which led her to her love, agent David Bugliari. Clutching a bouquet composed of lily of the valley, the stirring sounds of John Lennon's "Imagine" escorted the former Charmed star to a wrought iron gazebo adorned with roses, calla lilies and willow, for the start of the ceremony, People magazine reports.

Following the exchange of vows, the newlyweds joined family and friends beneath a tent erected on the site for a reception transformed into a pastoral paradise by event coordinator Colin Cowie, whose use of bales of hay and rattan furniture created an ambiance of rustic romance.

Il Divo's David Miller Marries

Music has long been a magical force in the romance between David Miller-- a member of the pop operatic quartet Il Divo-- and theater actress Sarah Joy Kabanuck. Their love story beginning six years ago with the passion of Puccini's La Bohème, the opera in which they both starred, the Italian composer's works would once again play a role in the couple's lives as they celebrated their special day. Kabanuck's walk down the aisle, however, called for a more intimate arrangement-- a work penned by the groom and performed by a string trio with a harp's accompaniment.

According to People magazine, 100 friends and family members gathered at an old townhouse in New York City on the evening of August 8, 2009 to watch the bride, dressed in an ivory-hued creation by designer Michelle Rahn, and her groom in his Armani suit, exchange vows amid an atmosphere that evoked the memory of the opera which first brought them together.

Following the nuptials, the newlyweds and their guests dined in rooms reminiscent of operatic masterpieces. In yet another nod to Puccini, sushi was served in the Madame Butterfly area, while Tuscan delights filled the plates of those in the La Bohème room. In an homage to Giuseppe Verdi, French fare was enjoyed by attendees seated in the La Traviata room.

As guests sampled slices of a Ron Ben-Israel-concocted three-tier blueberry, vanilla and chocolate wedding cake, the happy couple stepped out on the floor for their first dance as husband and wife. As their wedding day had been a harmonious marriage between classical and contemporary, the lovebirds swayed in the operatic ambiance to the modern melody "Such Great Heights," a cover of The Postal Service's song by Iron and Wine, whose song "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" serenaded cinematic couple Edward Cullen and Bella Swan for their prom dance in the movie Twilight.

Cheech Marin's Wedding

Cheech Marin, who for years shared billing with fellow counter-culture comedian Tommy Chong, formed a new partnership on August 8, 2009 as he said "I do" to classical pianist Natasha Rubin.

In a nostalgic nod to his Cheech and Chong days, the comedy classic "Earache My Eye" from the duo's 1974 "Wedding Album" echoed on the beachfront property of the lovebirds' shared Malibu home as the groom-- his all white ensemble seeming to symbolize this new chapter in his life-- strolled past 75 family members and friends, including his Nash Bridges co-star Don Johnson, Once Upon A Time in Mexico director Robert Rodriguez, Geraldo Rivera and Carlos Mencia, People magazine reported.

Taking his place by the happy event's officiant, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the groom watched the lady of the hour-- serenaded by the traditional tune "Here Comes The Bride"-- make her grand entrance in a form-fitting white wedding dress designed with a plunging v-neckline and a criss-cross back. Clutching a bouquet of white, lavender and deep purple-petaled roses, the pianist made her way toward the comic actor, her elbow-length veil joyfully dancing in the sea breeze with each step.

Two bridesmaids-- one in a lilac-hued, knee-length dress, the other in aubergine to harmonize with the bride's bouquet-- and an angelic flower girl completed the bridal party. During the civil ceremony, the guests bore witness as the groom presented his love with a wedding band-- the culmination of a romance which began five years before and had led to a February 17, 2009 proposal at Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Los Angeles.

Celebrity Wedding Dresses Past and Present

Wedding ceremony styles may change over the years, but the joy that an "I do" dress gives to each bride is timeless. Here are a few celebrity silhouettes, past and present:

When it came time to Step Up to the altar, Jenna Dewan donned Reem Acra bridal attire. A feathered, peach-hued skirt created an illusion of ethereal innocence, while an ornate, curve-conscious bodice showcased her fit frame.

Snoop Dogg and his wife Shante's stroll down memory lane during their 10th anniversary celebrations was also a chance for the couple to once again walk down the aisle. Although a multitude of the rapper's fans shared the pair's happiness as they witnessed the wedding vow renewal on the reality series Father Hood, only friends and family members gathered at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Marina Del Ray on a June day in 1997 to see Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr. declare his love for his bride, who wore this off-the-shoulder silhouette.

Snoopy Doggy Dogg And His Bride On Their Wedding At The Ritz Carlton Hotel

Although her "I do" date isn't until June 2010, Project Runway winner Christian Siriano is already concocting a couture creation for Top Chef finalist Nikki Cascone. The bride-to-be will be a real "dish" when she walks down the aisle in Siriano's fierce frock-- a halter-style silhouette that will be a vision of pale violet, lilac and steel hues. Wanting to share her happiness with others, the restaurateur will auction off the gown for charity after her walk down the aisle.

90210 star Christina Moore took a walk on the wild side at her wedding by incorporating ostrich feathers into her bouquet of white phalaenopsis, which she carried as she strolled in a Vera Wang wedding dress down a path of rose petals sprinkled on the lawn of her back yard. The gown's mermaid skirt rustled as she walked past family and friends, including former Saved By The Bell star Mark-Paul Gosselaar.

One of today's kings of late night TV, Conan O'Brien made Liz Powel his queen in 2002. Friends star Lisa Kudrow was among the guests gathered at St. James Cathedral to wish happiness to the groom and his bride, whose lace coat offered an extra touch of romance to her empire-waist gown.

Conan OBrien Wedding Day

As a judge on American Idol Kara DioGuardi may listen to would-be luminaries belt out tunes each week, but in June 2009 the reality personality no doubt felt like singing as she sashayed down the aisle in a strapless Vera Wang creation, its mermaid skirt swaying as she walked toward her groom.

Their stormy love story now belongs to the annals of Hollywood history, but on the day that Elizabeth Taylor said "I do" to Richard Burton for the first time she was a ray of sunshine in a yellow dress designed by Irene Sharoff. Like a halo resting lightly on her hair, a cluster of hyacinth provided the crowning glory for the silver screen goddess.
Elizabeth Taylors Marriage To Richard Burton

Their marriage was not to last, but actress Anne Heche will always have the memory of the day she donned this vintage-style vision for her I do's with cameraman Coley Laffoon. While still searching for the perfect silhouette, stylist Phillip Bloch predicted her dream dress for People magazine as "Something with a little femininity and just the tiniest bit odd."

Actress Anne Heche Poses

A tiara topping off her look, Brooklyn Decker's form-fitting, strapless Vera Wang gown showcased her Sports Illustrated swimsuit silhouette when she exchanged vows with tennis ace Andy Roddick.

A single band of black wrapping beneath the bustline and a row of black buttons added gothic glamour accents to the white lace Kirstie Kelly Couture creation worn by Linzi Williamson, the bride of Good Charlotte's guitarist, Billy Martin. The glow of candlelight illuminating a path down the aisle at Malibu, California's Stone Manor, guests Nicole Ritchie and Benji and Joel Madden were among the guests who admired the bride's wedding dress, which was enhanced with the addition of a black net veil.

The movie And God Created Woman may have made her an overnight sex symbol, but Brigitte Bardot was the picture of primness in a demure bridal design at her 1952 wedding to director Roger Vadim at the Church of Passey in Paris. By 1959, when she said "I do" to actor Jacques Charrier, the silver screen siren would be bold enough to express her individualistic style with her choice of a pink checkered creation by designer Jacques Esterel.

On August 1, 2009 family and friends-- including the bride's Varsity Blues co-star Amy Smart-- took a trolley ride to the Kennebunkport, Maine estate belonging to the groom's parents, where the lilt of Irish tunes mingled with the trill of song birds before the ceremony commenced.

Mark Wahlberg's Wedding

Since opening its doors to the faithful in 1924, The Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills has been a gathering place for the glitterati's life-changing moments. Over the years tears of both sorrow and of celebration have been shed inside the 600-seat house of worship for the weddings of such stars as Elizabeth Taylor and Nicky Hilton, Loretta Young and Tom Lewis and Rod Stewart and Rachel Hunter as well as for the final farewells of Rudolph Valentino and Frank Sinatra. On August 1, 2009 a new chapter was written in the church's Hollywood history as movie star Mark Wahlberg said "I do" to his longtime love, Rhea Durham.

The fragrant perfume of pink and lavender-hued roses filled the church as the bride began her walk down the aisle in a Marchesa gown accented with silver embroidery which harmonized with the groom's tie. The warm glow of candlelight reflected on the facets of her Neil Lane diamond and platinum, cushion-cut ring and her diamond bracelet and earrings as she stood at the altar during the 45-minute ceremony which united the couple in marriage after an eight-year romance, US magazine reported.

Stepping out into the midday sun after exchanging vows, the newlyweds were seen kissing in the car which whisked them away to their reception.

Kendrick Perkins may be the center for the Boston Celtics, but the Texas-born basketball star who was once the pride of the Ozen High Panthers of Beaumont returned to his home state on the day he said "I do" to his longtime love, Vanity Alpough. According to the Boston Herald, family and friends gathered at the Carlton Woods Country Club in The Woodlands to share the joy of the blessed occasion.

On July 25, 2009 a blast of trumpets regally announced the arrival of the bride, who clutched a bouquet of calla lilies as she walked in a strapless, embroidery-embellished gown up the stone steps to the forecourt of the club house, where her groom-- looking dashing in a white jacket accented with black lapels that matched the remained of his ensemble-- waited beneath a flower-bedecked arbor to make her his wife.

After the exchange of vows, bridesmaids in chocolate brown dresses joined the guests as they watched the newlyweds release a basket of white doves before riding off in a horse-drawn carriage provided by Platinum Carriages. The lovebirds would soon return to sample slices of a four-tier wedding cake at their reception. While he may offer contestants the opportunity to win riches on the UK edition of Deal or No Deal, television presenter Noel Edmonds won a priceless prize-- the heart of the woman he calls his soul mate-- when he accepted the deal of a lifetime on July 23, 2009 and said "I do" to make-up artist Liz Davies.

The couple, who had become betrothed in late 2008 in the garden at Catherine Palace in St Petersburg, Russia, found their love in full bloom as the bride-- carrying a bouquet of pink and yellow roses interspersed with greenery-- walked down the aisle of the Church of St. Mary's in the Cotswolds village of Lower Slaughter for a blessing of their union after their civil ceremony at a nearby hotel, the Daily Mail reports.

Following the nuptials, the newlyweds were greeted with a shower of confetti and rose petals which tumbled down over the groom in his dark suit and the bride in her strapless, crystal-encrusted ivory gown by Noi, christening their love as an organ's rendition of Beethoven's Ode To Joy mingled in the summer air with the peel of church bells, chiming the happy news to the townsfolk.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan's Wedding

Almost four years after destiny paired them together for the movie Step Up, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan waltzed down the aisle on the afternoon of July 11, 2009. Having already welcomed wedding guests for the notable nuptials of both Fergie and Natasha Bedingfield earlier in the year, the Church Estates Vineyards in Malibu once again prepared its grounds for a star-studded ceremony, E! online reports.

A white aisle runner directing their path, five bridesmaids-- including former 7th Heaven cast member Haylie Duff and Entourage star Emmanuelle Chriqui, who took on the role of maid of honor-- strolled toward the altar in gowns designed in varying halter styles to compliment each woman's figure, the matching powder puff pink fabric harmonizing with the blush and white roses of their bouquets.

Taking their places, the bridesmaids-- who had celebrated their friend's farewell to the single life in May with bachelorette parties at both the Gansevoort Hotel in Miami and the Bagatelle Beach Club on the Turks and Caicos islands-- watched the lady of the hour take her walk down the aisle in a strapless silhouette with an ornate sweetheart bodice which flowed into a feathered skirt that seemed to float with each fluid motion. Peering from behind the blusher of her veil, the bride smiled at the more than 200 friends and family members who rose in her honor before being seated once again in chairs arranged in a semi-circle around the lovebirds, ready to witness the groom presented his love with a band to accompany the engagement ring which has graced her finger since their Maui getaway in September 2008.

His band may have garnered the award for Top New Duo or Group from the Academy of Country music and received the nod for New Artist of the Year from the Country Music Association, but no accolade could ever top the winning smile that Lady Antebellum vocalist Charles Kelley saw on his bride's face on the day they said "I do." The singer exchanged vows with Cassie McConnell over the Fourth of July weekend, People magazine reports.

A Christmas 2008 proposal after their two-year romance had already led to an intimate civil ceremony in late June in the country music capital, Nashville. "Lookin' For A Good Time" with family and friends, the newlyweds once again pledged their devotion while in the Bahamas, and on July 7, 2009 the groom's brother and sister-in-law Josh Kelley and Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl were spotted at the Nassau International Airport after leaving the lavish Atlantis Cove Resort.

Soccer Star Alexandre Pato's Wedding

Although she portrayed a celestial being in the telenovela Dorinha, no doubt actress Sthefany Brito never looked more angelic in the eyes of her love Alexandre Pato than on the evening that she walked down the aisle in her Dolce & Gabbana wedding dress and said "I do" to the striker for AC Milan.

According to Globo, sports icon Cafu was among the 500 friends and family members to rise from the pews inside Sao Francisco de Paula church in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on the evening of July 7, 2009 as the bride, clutching a bouquet of ivory roses, made her grand entrance inside the house of worship, her ribbon-edged veil trailing behind as the voluminous folds of her ballgown skirt gently shifted to the sounds of the wedding march.

After the bride and her 19-year-old groom-- who donned an all-white tuxedo for the happy occasion-- exchanged vows, the Rolls Royce awaiting the newlyweds outside the church whisked the couple off to a reception at the Copacabana Palace Hotel where, like so many others around the world on that day, the music of Michael Jackson was played, both as a celebration of the superstar's life and of the start of the lovebirds' new life together.

"American Idol" Judge Kara DioGuardi's Wedding

As a judge on American Idol, Kara DioGuardi helps to make dreams of stardom a reality. July 5, 2009 was a day for the reality personality's own dream to come true, however, as she exchanged vows with the man she loves, contractor Mike McCuddy, InTouch Weekly revealed.

An intimate "I do," just 30 friends and family members walked through the doors of the United Methodist Church in Prospect Harbor, Maine, rising from the pews in honor of the bride as she made her grand entrance in a strapless Vera Wang gown featuring a show-stopping flared skirt. The sophisticated silhouette was a far cry from the smiley face pj's she wore on December 8, 2008, when her prospective groom slipped a David Yurman engagement ring on her finger-- an 18 karat gold band crowned with a champagne citrone stone which now rests alongside the wedding ring she received during the short ceremony.

Basketball Star Brian Cook's Wedding

An off the court courtship has led to a walk down the aisle on the fourth of July for Houston Rockets power forward Brian Cook and his love, Victoria Velasquez. According to People magazine, the groom's basketball star buddy Luke Walton of the LA Lakers took on the role of best man for the happy occasion, which was witnessed by 150 friends and family members at Trump National Golf Club, the Palos Verdes, California venue which will reportedly welcome Boston Red Sox player Clay Buchholz and Deal or No Deal model Lindsay Clubine for their I do's on November 14, 2009.

The light that danced off of the facets of $75,000 worth of jewelry from Adorn Brides matched the jubilant mood of the lady of the hour as she strolled down the aisle in a strapless creation from Priscilla of Boston's Platinum Collection to receive a wedding band from the man she loves.

Following the exchange of vows, the newlyweds joined their guests in sampling slices of a red velvet and vanilla cake concocted to conform to the shape of a basketball.

Kendra Wilkinson's Wedding

The Holmby Hills home of publishing icon Hugh Hefner may be accustomed to the sight of Playmates, but on June 27, 2009 the mansion transformed into a site for soul mates as Hef's former honey Kendra Wilkinson said "I do" to her love, NFL star Hank Baskett.

Linking arms with her brother Colin, the reality personality peered from behind the diaphanous blusher of her veil at the 300 guests who rose in her honor as she began her walk down the aisle. The sun's last rays dancing on the facets of her diamond and platinum Michael Barin jewelry, the bride made her way toward her groom, who presented her with a band to accompany the 2 1/4-carat princess cut diamond engagement ring from Bernie Robbins Fine Jewelers, which has graced her finger since November 2008.

Eddie Van Halen's Wedding

Slipping his feet into a pair of flip flops, rocker Eddie Van Halen was "standing on top of the world for a little while" on June 27, 2009 as he watched Janie Liszewski, his love of the past three years, walk down the aisle. Feeling that there's no place like home to begin their life together as husband and wife, the couple had requested the presence of 100 friends and family members in the garden of their Studio City, California residence to help them celebrate the happy event.

The mother of his child and his friend forever, Eddie Van Halen's former wife Valerie Bertinelli was among the guests to catch a glimpse of the bride as she made her grand entrance in a Hanna Hartnell creation, designed with blush pink detailing against warm champagne-hued silk which harmonized with the fur of the bride's Pomeranian Kano, who escorted his human parent down a white rose petal path toward the groom (who wore all white for the occasion) to the tune of the Van Halen hit "When It's Love," performed by L.A.-based spring ensemble the Sonus Quartet.

The facets of her Bulgari jewelry twinkling in the waning evening light, Liszewski presented the performer with a yellow diamond-studded gold band during the nondenominational ceremony, while the groom gifted his bride with a platinum band to accompany the engagement ring that has graced her finger since Van Halen's August 4, 2008 proposal inside Tiffany's during a Hawaiian getaway.

Making theirs a family affair, Van Halen's son Wolfgang stood by his father in the role of best man while the groom's brother Alex Van Halen, who has stood so often on stage with the guitar god, pronounced the couple husband and wife.

Toasting to their union with nonalcoholic beverages, the newlyweds joined their guests poolside for a post-wedding feast of French fries, corn dogs and mini-hamburgers followed by glazed grilled chicken and filet mignon before sampling slices of a flower-bedecked white chocolate cake.

The newly dubbed Mr. and Mrs. are scheduled to embark on a honeymoon excursion that will take them to New York, Germany and the Netherlands, People magazine reports.

Kendra Wilkinson Wedding Jewelry Details

Kendra Wilkinson may have proudly flashed a diamond-studded grill during her days in the Playboy mansion, but for her wedding day the reality personality has chosen tradition over current trends, and will wear platinum and diamond jewelry created by Michael Barin when she pledges her love to Hank Baskett.

While all brides beam on the day they say "I do," Hef's former honey will have extra sparkle thanks to more than $100,000 worth of Barin's bijoux, including a $47,000 pair of platinum drop earrings with 4.25 carats of diamonds, a $33,700 platinum pendant with 2.50 carats of diamonds and a $21,00 platinum bracelet with 4.50 carats of diamonds.

The star of her own E! series will not be the first famous face to dazzle in diamonds from Michael Barin. Without A Trace cast member Roselyn Sanchez wears a 4.3-carat brilliant cut engagement ring and wedding band made by the jeweler, and donned more of Barin's designs for special day.

French President Sarkozy, Lee Radziwill Attend Wedding of Prada Executive

The devil may wear Prada, but the designer label's executive Mathilde Agostinelli looked like an angel when she arrived at city hall in Paris' 16th arrondissement on June 23, 2009 to exchange vows with fashion photographer Antoine Meyer. Wearing a flirty white frock and casual cardigan paired with seductive silver stilettos, the bride's wedding day dress was a marriage of innocence and intrigue as she walked down the aisle.

The stylish civil ceremony was a gathering of high society and famous faces, including President Nicolas Sarkozy (who had invited Agostinelli to attend his nuptials with Carla Bruni) and Lee Radziwill (sister of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis), Pure People reported.

Soccer Star Joe Cole's Wedding

In June 2007, soccer star Joe Cole and his love Carly Zucker were among the guests seated in the pews at St. Peter's Church to witness the wedding of Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick and Lisa Roughhead. Two years later the couples found their roles reversed as Michael Carrick and his wife joined Chelsea and England captain John Terry, fellow soccer star Scott Sinclair, EastEnders cast member Kara Tointon and approximately 150 friends and family members as they rose from their places inside Royal Hospital in Chelsea in honor of Carly Zucker as she began her walk down the aisle. During the ceremony guests witnessed the groom slip a wedding band on his bride's finger to accompany the £50,000 engagement ring which has graced Zucker's left hand for the past two years.

The newly pronounced Mrs., who recently said so long to the single life with a bachelorette party at London nightclub Mahiki, has kept the style of her "I do" dress (which the Mirror indicates was purchased at bespoke wedding supplier Ana Cristache) a secret which will only be revealed to the public upon the publication of the magazine chosen to present the details of the couple's special day.

The bride wore a white dressing down for her walk to the vehicle which whisked her to the wedding venue:

Kendra Wilkinson's Pre-Wedding Party

Only days away from saying "I do" to her football star fiance Hank Baskett, Kendra Wilkinson bid a fond farewell to her former footloose and fancy free lifestyle with a fete that included at least one familiar face-- another of Hef's former honeys, Bridget Marquardt.

Gathering at Hollywood's Guys and Dolls bar-lounge (a hot spot owned by former daytime drama heartthrob Michael Sutton, who portrayed Stone Cates on General Hospital), pals bearing provocative presents for the bride-to-be stopped at the door to record video messages for the guest of honor before sampling servings of Sprinkles cupcakes, US magazine revealed.

On June 27, 2009 the reality personality will pledge her love to the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver, who will slip a wedding band on her finger to accompany the 2 1/4-carat princess-cut diamond engagement ring, purchased at Bernie Robbins Fine Jewelers in New Jersey, which the star has sported since November 2008.

The couple's commitment, which led to an August 2008 proposal after a three-year courtship, culminated with a wedding at Captain's Club Hotel in Christchurch, the Daily Mail reports. Manchester United Star Wes Brown's Wedding

While some believe that love flies in on the wings of a dove, it was an owl that was the bearer of the wedding bands that symbolize the everlasting bond between Manchester United defender Wes Brown and his love Leanne Wassell when the couple said "I do". Swooping down on the shoulder of the best man, "Ollie" presented a leather pouch containing the rings which were slipped on the lovebirds' fingers on June 13, 2009 in a ceremony held at Peckforton Castle, the North-West Evening Mail reports.

Having marked their first year of marriage the day before, soccer star Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen were among the group of well-wishers at the nuptials before traveling to Barbados to privately celebrate their anniversary and look forward to their future with the child they will welcome into the world later this year.

Brazilian athlete Roberto Carlos may be considered among the top 125 greatest footballers living today, but the soccer star holds the number one spot in the heart of his bride, Mariana Lucon. His happiness apparent to all in attendance, the wingman for Turkey's Fenerbahçe team showed off a few soccer moves for reporters on June 13, 2009 after saying "I do" to the physiotherapist in the presence of 600 guests-- including singer Alexandre Pires and fellow footballer Juninho Paulista-- who had gathered at Terraço Daslu in São Paulo to witness the happy occasion.

Perhaps thinking of her own 2005 wedding, actress Samia Smith was also among the guests to watch Hudson walk down the aisle in a gown that would later be covered with a black cloak during the bride's exit from the house of worship, providing the public only a peek of her peep-toe shoes the Daily Mail reports.

Showcasing her individualistic sense of style, the bride donned a white trouser suit for the I do's-- a relaxed yet refined look enhanced with the addition of a dainty bouquet of ivory roses. According to Bild, supermodel Claudia Schiffer, champion cyclist Jan Ulrich, Prince Albert of Monaco and the groom's two sons were among those who witnessed the three-time Wimbledon winner-- dressed in a grey pinstripe suit paired with a pewter tie-- pledge his devotion to the Dutch model.

Pronounced husband and wife, the newlyweds would later celebrate their union with a religious blessing at Regina Pacis Chapel before welcoming 200 friends and family members to their post-wedding festivities at Badrutt's Palace Hotel. Actor David Hyde Pierce Reveals Wedding News

As he cheered on Sex and The City star Cynthia Nixon during the announcement of her engagement to longtime girlfriend Christina Marinoni at a May 17th rally in support of gay marriage, former Frasier cast member David Hyde Pierce no doubt thought back on the struggle to have same sex marriages legally recognized-- a long road which, although it still continues, finally led to the day he could legally say "I do" to Brian Hargrove.

The couple, whose love has lasted a quarter of a century, were joined in marriage on October 24, 2008, the actor confided to the ladies on The View. Their vows, as well as those of other same sex couples taken before the passing of Proposition 8, have been declared legally binding by the California Supreme Court, although the ban still holds.

Although a formal announcement was not made at the time, the groom relayed the happy news to The Advocate weeks after the ceremony.

Nashville may be known as the home of country music, but on May 22, 2009 the city was the site of two simultaneous rock 'n' roll weddings.

Standing in the back yard of former husband Jack White's home, Meg White-- the drummer for Detroit duo The White Stripes-- exchanged vows with Jackson Smith, the son of punk legend Patti Smith and Fred "Sonic" Smith of MC5, Newsday.com reports. The nuptials took place almost four years after Ms. White took on the role of maid of honor at the wedding of Jack White and Karen Elson in Manaus, Brazil.

Adding a second dose of "I do" to the occasion, Jack Lawrence-- the bassist for both The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather-- tied the knot with his love Jo McCaughey during the same ceremony, which was presided over by Benjamin Swank.
