On November 6, 2004, the bells of Chester Cathedral rang out the news that Edward van Cutsem (the godson of The Prince of Wales) and Tamara Grosvenor (the daughter of the Duke of Westminster) were husband and wife. Lovetripper takes a trip back in time to the day when royalty gathered to witness their wedding:

A pair of Jimmy Choo couture shoes, which peeked out from beneath the hem of an ivory silk georgette creation by Bruce Oldfield, carried the bride along the red carpet:

Ivanka Trump's Wedding

"Just finished a gorgeous hike. The leaves are spectacular and the sun is shining. Everything is simply perfect! I'm getting married today!" Ivanka Trump Tweeted to her Twitter followers just hours before her walk down the aisle. No doubt the sunlight danced on the facets of the bride's 5.22-carat cushion-cut diamond engagement ring, which was joined by a wedding band later that day as the businesswoman and boardroom judge of The Celebrity Apprentice and New York Observer owner Jared Kushner, her fiance since July 2009, were pronounced husband and wife on October 25, 2009.

Inspired by the quiet elegance of Grace Kelly, the bride was a vision in a Vera Wang creation as she made her grand entrance, People magazine reported. The sparkle of a $90,000 platinum and diamond bracelet, $130,000 diamond and platinum earrings and $45,000 platinum and diamond hairpiece adding an extra glint of glamor as she strolled past a gathering of the more than 500 guests who had received Tiffany's invitations, including friends who had attended her August 22nd bachelorette party along the Hudson River as well as such glitterati as Natalie Portman, Russell Crowe and Barbara Walters. All looked on as the couple, whose bond was further strengthened by a faith which they now both share, were united as one in an Orthodox Jewish ceremony.

Following the nuptials, guests converged at a reception designed by event planner Preston Bailey, where attendees sampled slices of a Sylvia Weinstock-concocted cake as talk show host Regis Philbin serenaded the crowd. As the evening wore on, father of the bride Donald Trump raised his glass in a toast that summed up a priceless day of joy: "Be happy and enjoy your life."

Following a planned honeymoon excursion to Africa, the newlyweds will be busy writing Thank You notes for the many items received from their wedding registry list, which ranged from a sterling silver footed bowl from Tiffany's worth $1,350 to $3.95 cotton lapis napkins from Crate & Barrel.

Celebrity Engagement Rings

The dance of light on the facets of a diamond is always fascinating, especially if the sparkler in question belongs to a star. Following are a few rings that grace the fingers of the famous who have recently become engaged or married:

Just weeks after Lamar Odom slipped a 12.5-carat engagement ring on his fiancee's finger from Vartan Fine Jewelry (seen below), the symbol of his love for reality personality Khloe Kardashian was united with its marital mate-- a platinum band from the same jeweler, which is decorated with 2.5-carats of pave diamonds, OK magazine reported.

Khloe Kardashian Shows Off Her Bling Bling!

Acting out a supernatural love story on the HBO series True Blood led to real life true love for co-stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. Flashing a diamond solitaire created by jeweler Cathy Waterman (seen below), the Academy Award winner proudly flaunted her new status as a fiancee shortly after receiving the ring during a romantic getaway to Hawaii.

Anna Paquin gladly shows off her new engagement ring while taking her dogs for a walk

When the "Lovebug" bit Kevin Jonas, the JoBro got down on bended knee to present bride-to-be Danielle Deleasa with a 3-carat, cushion-cut creation from Jacob & Co.

A woman who stands behind her work, Ivanka Trump's pre-"I do" ring is an item from her own signature jewelry line (seen below). A 5.22-carat cushion-cut diamond which crowns a platinum and diamond band shows the world her love for Jared Kushner.

As unique as the woman who wears it, pink, yellow and white diamonds adorn the vintage vision that graces actress Milla Jovovich's hand (seen in the photo below). The 19th century gold ring now nestles beside a simple gold Neil Lane wedding band.

A 6-carat stunner from Ivanka Trump's jewelry line led to vows in Las Vegas for singer Christina Milian and music producer The Dream.

Whenever Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum Step Up on the red carpet for a premiere, the sparkling facets of the actress's Neil Lane brilliant cut diamond engagement ring (seen in the photo below) wows the crowd. The ice was paired with a wedding ring when the stars said "I do" at the Church Estate Vineyards in Malibu on July 11, 2009.

She may be the author of The Skinnygirl Rules and The Skinnygirl Dish, but reality personality Bethenny Frankel is sporting a big, fat diamond on her ring finger, thanks to fiance Jason Hoppy. Eight carats in all, jeweler Kristen Farrell fashioned a 6 1/2-carat, pear-shaped sparkler as the centerpiece, with two smaller diamonds hugging either side.

Only a stellar stone can grace the ring finger of a show-stopping performer. A four carat, brilliant-cut diamond takes center stage on Fergie's H. Stern engagement ring from the jeweler's Stars collection (seen below.) To counterbalance its complexity, refined smaller rocks encircle the singer's simple gold wedding band.

Former Lost cast member Marsha Thomason found her perfect post-proposal ring at Roseark in Los Angeles, the actress confided to InStyleWeddings. The rose-cut diamond creation which symbolized her Valentine's Day 2008 betrothal to Craig Sykes led to the purchase of a wedding gown from Pogah Couture, which she wore down the aisle at the Inn of the Seventh Ray in Topanga, California.

Having said "I do" to his small screen soul mate on the NBC series The Office, John Krasinski is now planning to pledge his love to his real life leading lady, British actress Emily Blunt, who wears a classic round-cut diamond ring on her left hand (seen below.)

Formula One Racer Giancarlo Fisichella's Wedding

Formula One driver Giancarlo Fisichella may be accustomed to accelerated speeds behind the wheel, but on October 10, 2009 the Ferrari pilot no doubt found his own heart racing at the sight of his bride as she made her grand entrance inside the Church of San Lorenzo in Lucina, Rome.

Peering out from behind a lace-edged veil, former showgirl Luna Castellani saw the father of her two children waiting for her as she walked down the aisle in a traditional wedding gown, the hem of its voluminous skirt gently brushing the white aisle runner which led a path to the altar, where the next chapter of the couple's 15-year love story began as the pair were pronounced husband and wife, Il Messaggero reports.

Celebrities Attend Wedding of Tycoon

His mobile phone empire has produced millions of "rings" over the years, but on October 10, 2009 Charles Dunstone-- co-founder of The Carphone Warehouse-- was thinking only of the wedding ring which he presented to his bride, Celia Gordon Shute.

A gathering of glitterati, including Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon (who was among the attendees at the groom's sailing stag party on the Isle of Wight, the Telegraph reports), Girls Aloud member Sarah Harding and former Prime Minister Tony Blair converged at Christ Church Spitalfields in London on a sun-splashed fall day to witness the couple-- who became betrothed in December 2008-- exchange vows.

The newlyweds are reportedly heading to the Seychelles for their honeymoon.

"The Office" Wedding Accommodation Location

Small screen soul mates Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly were finally pronounced husband and wife on the October 8th episode of The Office, and no doubt the entire cast and crew of the NBC hit comedy have treasured "mental pictures" of the Niagara nuptials, which included scenes filmed at The Red Coach Inn, the Niagara Gazette reports.

Playing the pivotal role of the "Statler Falls Hotel," lodging for the fictional lovebirds and their guests prior to the I do's, the Niagara Falls, New York boutique retreat's cozy English country furnishings were captured for posterity as Michael found out there was no room at the inn for him, and as glasses were raised in a toast that turned an "awww" moment into an awkward one for the fiances.

Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer) traded in her conservative cardigan style for a wedding day design from David's Bridal. According to Brides magazine, the A-line creation constructed of crinkle chiffon is wallet-friendly at only $399. The dresses that Pam's bridesmaids boogied down the aisle in are also found at David's Bridal for an affordable $145.

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom's Wedding

Reality personality Khloe Kardashian enjoyed a fantasy wedding on September 27, 2009 with her love of the past month, Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom. A steady stream of stars, including Kobe and Vanessa Bryant, Kelly Osbourne, Adrienne Bailon, Ryan Seacrest, Alan Thicke, Lola Vasquez and Brittany Gastinau, gathered at the estate of music manager Irving Azoff to witness a wedding arranged perhaps in haste, but with a lot of heart.

Clutching a bouquet of roses, lilies of the valley and stephanotis, the bride began her walk down the aisle with her escort, Olympic champion and stepfather Bruce Jenner. Taking on the dual role of maids of honor were sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, while siblings Kendall and Kylie Jenner joined three of Khloe's close friends as bridesmaids. Donning dresses which ranged from a heliotrope hue to a dreamy aubergine, the female family members filed down the aisle with the bride, who had donned a strapless, white Vera Wang creation accented with a lavender sash to tie in with the colors of her wedding party, People magazine reported.

A 10-piece orchestra provided the soundtrack for the early evening event, in which the bride received a wedding band to accompany her 9-carat diamond engagement ring.

Following the nuptials, the newlyweds swayed to the sound of Anita Baker's "Angel" for their first dance, then enjoyed a moving rendition of "You Are So Beautiful," as performed by Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds during a reception in which 250 family members and friends sampled slices of a cake created by Hansen's Bakery and servings of filet mignon and wild salmon fillet. As guests departed, each received cupcakes as a sweet souvenir of a day when two souls were united as one.

Lily Allen, Fatboy Slim Guests At Wedding

Although in its former life it was used as a weapon of destruction, a converted Cold War fighter served a peaceful purpose as a vehicle to transport a couple to their wedding venue on the day they embarked on the building of their new life together as husband and wife.

On August 29, 2009, Emily Eavis climbed atop the transfigured warplane with her father, Michael Eavis-- the organizer of The Glastonbury Festival, known as the world's largest outdoor music festival-- for a drive through the streets of Pilton, Somerset in England, waving to wellwishers along the way as their ride guided the bride to Pilton Methodist Chapel, where groom Nick Dewey and 185 friends and family members celebrated the culmination of the couple's six-year romance.

Following the 45-minute ceremony, the Telegraph reports that the newlyweds returned to their residence at Worthy Farm, where songstress Lily Allen and recording artist Fatboy Slim (who won a VMA award in 2001 for his hit "Weapon of Choice") were among the guests who mingled as The Chemical Brothers, serving as DJs, provided the soundtrack for the evening.

Boris Becker's Former Wife Marries

Less than three months after her former husband, tennis legend Boris Becker, exchanged vows with his lady love Sharlely "Lilly" Kerssenberg, Barbara Becker said "I do" on September 9, 2009 to her own perfect love match, artist Arne Quinze.

As home is where the heart is, the couple began their new life together as husband and wife at their Miami, Florida residence with their children from previous relationships present to share in their joy. Perhaps influenced by the swaying palms at their waterfront residence, the pair added Hawaiian-inspired highlights to their trip down the aisle, with the groom draping a lei over the shirt of his all-white ensemble, while the bride tucked white tropical flowers in her hair.

The barefoot bride, who donned a lace-embellished, multi-tiered gown for the occasion, received a wedding band during the ceremony to accompany an engagement ring composed of eight black diamonds, Bild reports. The couple will continue to celebrate their union with a "Gypsy and Rock 'n' Roll"-themed soiree in Potsdam this weekend.

Prince Edouard and Isabella Orsini's Wedding

Having accepted the role of a lifetime, on September 5, 2009 Italian actress Isabella Orsini walked the red carpet that led inside the Antoing church, where Prince Edouard Lamoral Rodolphe de Ligne de la Tremoille-- officially her husband for the past two days after their civil ceremony-- waited to once again declare his love for his bride.

Orsini, who was last seen on screen in Il Sangue e la Rosa (The Blood and The Rose), clutched a bouquet of crimson roses as she strolled down the aisle in a Gerald Watelet creation, the elegance of the ensemble was enhanced with the addition of a HollemensThiery tiara topped with aquamarines and diamonds, Fraticappuccini reports.

Following the exchange of vows, the peal of church bells announced the happy news to the village as the newlyweds waved to the well wishers who had gathered outside the Belgian house of worship. Cherubic children, their hair wreathed in halos of tiny roses, gathered round to watch the bride release a dove-- the sound of its beating wings no doubt matching that of the bride and groom's joy-filled hearts as they climbed into a carriage which whisked them away for post-wedding celebrations.

Italian Actress Isabella Orsini Marries A Prince

In childhood fairy tales the story would end once the heroine married her handsome prince. For Italian actress Isabella Orsini and Prince Edouard Lamoral Rodolphe de Ligne la Tremoille, however, their "I do's" on September 2, 2009 marked only the beginning of their happily ever after.

Dressed in a one-shoulder scarlet silhouette, the beaming bride stood my her husband's side and waved to well-wishers gathered outside the town hall in Hainaut, Antoing, Belgium moments after the civil ceremony.

The happy couple will once again pledge their love during a religious blessing of their union at chateau d'Antoing on September 5th.

Milla Jovovich's Wedding

Actress Milla Jovovich and director Paul W.S. Anderson, having met on the set of Resident Evil, chose their own Beverly Hills residence to begin their new life together as husband and wife on August 22, 2009.

Celebrating her own "summer of love," the bride's hair was arranged in flower child-style. A wheat-inspired wreath crowned tresses accented with blossoms which enriched the beauty of her Temperley London goddess gown as she mingled with guests at a wedding in which she presented her love since 2002 with an 18k gold Neil Lane wedding band. According to People magazine, 50 family members and friends-- including Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey, who arrived with his wife-- witness the bride receive a matching band, which now complements the sparkle of the yellow, pink and white diamonds that adorn her 19th century gold engagement ring.

Guests (including the couple's daughter Ever Gabo, who took on the role of flower girl) entertained by the seductive strumming of a Spanish guitar prior to the nuptials enjoyed the jubilant jams of Cuban musicians at the post-wedding festivities.

Celebrity Wedding Dresses Past and Present

Wedding ceremony styles may change over the years, but the joy that an "I do" dress gives to each bride is timeless. Here are a few celebrity silhouettes, past and present:

When it came time to Step Up to the altar, Jenna Dewan donned Reem Acra bridal attire. A feathered, peach-hued skirt created an illusion of ethereal innocence, while an ornate, curve-conscious bodice showcased her fit frame.

Snoop Dogg and his wife Shante's stroll down memory lane during their 10th anniversary celebrations was also a chance for the couple to once again walk down the aisle. Although a multitude of the rapper's fans shared the pair's happiness as they witnessed the wedding vow renewal on the reality series Father Hood, only friends and family members gathered at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Marina Del Ray on a June day in 1997 to see Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr. declare his love for his bride, who wore this off-the-shoulder silhouette.

Snoopy Doggy Dogg And His Bride On Their Wedding At The Ritz Carlton Hotel

Although her "I do" date isn't until June 2010, Project Runway winner Christian Siriano is already concocting a couture creation for Top Chef finalist Nikki Cascone. The bride-to-be will be a real "dish" when she walks down the aisle in Siriano's fierce frock-- a halter-style silhouette that will be a vision of pale violet, lilac and steel hues. Wanting to share her happiness with others, the restaurateur will auction off the gown for charity after her walk down the aisle.

90210 star Christina Moore took a walk on the wild side at her wedding by incorporating ostrich feathers into her bouquet of white phalaenopsis, which she carried as she strolled in a Vera Wang wedding dress down a path of rose petals sprinkled on the lawn of her back yard. The gown's mermaid skirt rustled as she walked past family and friends, including former Saved By The Bell star Mark-Paul Gosselaar.

One of today's kings of late night TV, Conan O'Brien made Liz Powel his queen in 2002. Friends star Lisa Kudrow was among the guests gathered at St. James Cathedral to wish happiness to the groom and his bride, whose lace coat offered an extra touch of romance to her empire-waist gown.

Conan OBrien Wedding Day

As a judge on American Idol Kara DioGuardi may listen to would-be luminaries belt out tunes each week, but in June 2009 the reality personality no doubt felt like singing as she sashayed down the aisle in a strapless Vera Wang creation, its mermaid skirt swaying as she walked toward her groom.

Their stormy love story now belongs to the annals of Hollywood history, but on the day that Elizabeth Taylor said "I do" to Richard Burton for the first time she was a ray of sunshine in a yellow dress designed by Irene Sharoff. Like a halo resting lightly on her hair, a cluster of hyacinth provided the crowning glory for the silver screen goddess.
Elizabeth Taylors Marriage To Richard Burton

Their marriage was not to last, but actress Anne Heche will always have the memory of the day she donned this vintage-style vision for her I do's with cameraman Coley Laffoon. While still searching for the perfect silhouette, stylist Phillip Bloch predicted her dream dress for People magazine as "Something with a little femininity and just the tiniest bit odd."

Actress Anne Heche Poses

A tiara topping off her look, Brooklyn Decker's form-fitting, strapless Vera Wang gown showcased her Sports Illustrated swimsuit silhouette when she exchanged vows with tennis ace Andy Roddick.

A single band of black wrapping beneath the bustline and a row of black buttons added gothic glamour accents to the white lace Kirstie Kelly Couture creation worn by Linzi Williamson, the bride of Good Charlotte's guitarist, Billy Martin. The glow of candlelight illuminating a path down the aisle at Malibu, California's Stone Manor, guests Nicole Ritchie and Benji and Joel Madden were among the guests who admired the bride's wedding dress, which was enhanced with the addition of a black net veil.

The movie And God Created Woman may have made her an overnight sex symbol, but Brigitte Bardot was the picture of primness in a demure bridal design at her 1952 wedding to director Roger Vadim at the Church of Passey in Paris. By 1959, when she said "I do" to actor Jacques Charrier, the silver screen siren would be bold enough to express her individualistic style with her choice of a pink checkered creation by designer Jacques Esterel.

Mark Wahlberg's Wedding

Since opening its doors to the faithful in 1924, The Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills has been a gathering place for the glitterati's life-changing moments. Over the years tears of both sorrow and of celebration have been shed inside the 600-seat house of worship for the weddings of such stars as Elizabeth Taylor and Nicky Hilton, Loretta Young and Tom Lewis and Rod Stewart and Rachel Hunter as well as for the final farewells of Rudolph Valentino and Frank Sinatra. On August 1, 2009 a new chapter was written in the church's Hollywood history as movie star Mark Wahlberg said "I do" to his longtime love, Rhea Durham.

The fragrant perfume of pink and lavender-hued roses filled the church as the bride began her walk down the aisle in a Marchesa gown accented with silver embroidery which harmonized with the groom's tie. The warm glow of candlelight reflected on the facets of her Neil Lane diamond and platinum, cushion-cut ring and her diamond bracelet and earrings as she stood at the altar during the 45-minute ceremony which united the couple in marriage after an eight-year romance, US magazine reported.

Stepping out into the midday sun after exchanging vows, the newlyweds were seen kissing in the car which whisked them away to their reception.

Kendra Wilkinson's Wedding

The Holmby Hills home of publishing icon Hugh Hefner may be accustomed to the sight of Playmates, but on June 27, 2009 the mansion transformed into a site for soul mates as Hef's former honey Kendra Wilkinson said "I do" to her love, NFL star Hank Baskett.

Linking arms with her brother Colin, the reality personality peered from behind the diaphanous blusher of her veil at the 300 guests who rose in her honor as she began her walk down the aisle. The sun's last rays dancing on the facets of her diamond and platinum Michael Barin jewelry, the bride made her way toward her groom, who presented her with a band to accompany the 2 1/4-carat princess cut diamond engagement ring from Bernie Robbins Fine Jewelers, which has graced her finger since November 2008.

The devil may wear Prada, but the designer label's executive Mathilde Agostinelli looked like an angel when she arrived at city hall in Paris' 16th arrondissement on June 23, 2009 to exchange vows with fashion photographer Antoine Meyer. Wearing a flirty white frock and casual cardigan paired with seductive silver stilettos, the bride's wedding day dress was a marriage of innocence and intrigue as she walked down the aisle.

The stylish civil ceremony was a gathering of high society and famous faces, including President Nicolas Sarkozy (who had invited Agostinelli to attend his nuptials with Carla Bruni) and Lee Radziwill (sister of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis), Pure People reported.

Soccer Star Roberto Carlos' Wedding

Brazilian athlete Roberto Carlos may be considered among the top 125 greatest footballers living today, but the soccer star holds the number one spot in the heart of his bride, Mariana Lucon. His happiness apparent to all in attendance, the wingman for Turkey's Fenerbahçe team showed off a few soccer moves for reporters on June 13, 2009 after saying "I do" to the physiotherapist in the presence of 600 guests-- including singer Alexandre Pires and fellow footballer Juninho Paulista-- who had gathered at Terraço Daslu in São Paulo to witness the happy occasion.

According to Midracon News, the bride walked down the aisle in a strapless creation by Manuel Motta, which was paired with a lace-edged veil. Tucking a white bloom into his jacket's lapel, the groom looked dapper in a dark suit by Camargo Alfaiataria.

After sampling sugar rose-covered mini-cakes at the reception, the newlyweds spent their first night together as husband and wife in a suite at the WTC Sheraton Hotel in São Paulo before embarking on an excursion to a Brazilian resort and a trip to Dubai.

Boris Becker's Wedding

It was love all for tennis legend Boris Becker as he exchanged vows with Sharlely "Lilly" Kerssenberg on June 12, 2009. The steps of the Seganini Museum in St. Moritz proved to be a stairway to heaven for the pair as they entered the St. Moritz venue for the civil ceremony.

Showcasing her individualistic sense of style, the bride donned a white trouser suit for the I do's-- a relaxed yet refined look enhanced with the addition of a dainty bouquet of ivory roses. According to Bild, supermodel Claudia Schiffer, champion cyclist Jan Ulrich, Prince Albert of Monaco and the groom's two sons were among those who witnessed the three-time Wimbledon winner-- dressed in a grey pinstripe suit paired with a pewter tie-- pledge his devotion to the Dutch model.

Pronounced husband and wife, the newlyweds would later celebrate their union with a religious blessing at Regina Pacis Chapel before welcoming 200 friends and family members to their post-wedding festivities at Badrutt's Palace Hotel. Wanting to share their happy day, the public will have the opportunity to take a peek at the festivities when German network RTL broadcasts coverage of the wedding.

Heidi Klum and Seal's Wedding Vow Renewal

Their initial plans to pledge their love for a fourth time in Mexico dashed due to swine flu concerns, Seal and Project Runway host Heidi Klum-- undaunted in their desire to say "I do"-- found a way to "make it work" by moving their marriage celebration to Malibu.

On May 9, 2009, the pair's pals Matthew Perry and Debra Messing were among the guests gathered to witness a ceremony as unique as the couple's union, X17 online reports. Opting for a laughter-filled theme wedding renewal, an Elvis impersonator officiated as the bride-- her veil clinging to her cornrow-styled hair-- recited her vows to her mullet-wearing husband. As the sequins on her lace-accented ensemble twinkled like the sparkle in her eyes as she kissed the father of her children, paparazzi hovering overhead captured the couple's happiness for posterity.

Count Bjoern Bernadotte's Wedding

Although still more than one year away, no doubt bride-to-be Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden dreamed of her own June 19, 2010 "I do" with fiance Daniel Westling as the monarch in the making celebrated the union of Count Bjoern Bernadotte of Wisborg and Sandra Angerer on May 7, 2009.

Having already made their marriage official in a civil ceremony on April 25th, the happy newlyweds received a religious blessing of their love inside a castle church on the Mainau, Germany estate owned by the groom's family, Hello! magazine reports.

As family and friends looked on, tiny attendants-- their heads wreathed in flowers-- walked down the aisle in angelic blush and white- colored frocks before the bride made her grand entrance in a romantic Regency era-inspired creation, its beauty enhanced by a bouquet of pink-tinged roses.

Following their exchange of vows, the Count and Countess-- whose June 2008 engagement had been preceded by a five-year courtship-- danced the night away at a ball held in their honor.

Prince Jean d'Orleans, Duke of Vendome's Wedding

Already pronounced husband and wife in a March 19th ceremony at the town hall in Paris' 7th arrondissement, the union between Prince Jean d'Orleans, Duke of Vendome and Philomena de Toros y Steinhart was blessed during a religious ceremony held on May 2, 2009.

Well-wishers standing outside Senlis Cathedral in Senlis, France witnessed a steady stream of royals, including Prince Guillaume and Sybille of Luxembourg, the Duke and Duchess of Wurtemberg, The Infanta Pilar of Spain and Prine Philippe and Mathilde of Belgium, stroll by before the bride stepped upon the blue aisle runner which would lead her to the altar.

Wearing an ornate Christian Lacroix creation accented with gold embroidery, a dainty blue bow sewn onto the garment harmonized with the baby blue outfits worn by the tiny attendants, who cared for the gown's train and the lace-edged veil which clung to the turquoise tiara atop the bride's blonde tresses.

Following the exchange of vows, the newlyweds and their guests gathered at Chateau de Chantilly for the reception.

U2 Members Attend Society Wedding

April 25, 2009 was a "Beautiful Day" for a wedding, as U2 band members The Edge and Larry Mullen can attest. The rock icons, along with actress Sarah Bolger (The Spiderwick Chronicles) and 350 family and friends gathered on the spring day at Christ Church in Celbridge, County Kildare, Ireland to witness former US Ambassador to Ireland Thomas Foley and Leslie Ann Fahrenkopf united in matrimony.

Rising from the pews in the bride's honor, guests got their first glimpse of the former associate counsel to the President in her Carolina Herrera wedding dress. The ruffled hem of the garment's skirt gently brushing the aisle, the diaphanous fabric of her trailing veil provided an ethereal element to the bride's look as she floated past the congregation.

Following the exchange of vows, the newlyweds drank champagne toasts to their happiness in the vintage vehicle which whisked the couple to their reception at Castletown House, the Independent reports.

"Expedition Grizzly" Host Casey Anderson's Wedding to Actress Missi Pyle

Couples often receive bear hugs from friends and family members on the day they say "I do," but only actress Missi Pyle and naturalist Casey Anderson can say that they were offered felicitations from an actual bear. Thanks to best man Brutus-- an 800-pound grizzly who was raised from birth by the groom-- the bride (who has starred in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay) took a walk on the "wild" side when she walked down the aisle.

The pair's nature-inspired nuptials took place on August 30, 2008 on the verdant grounds of Holland Lake Lodge in Swan Valley, Montana. According to InStyle Weddings, which covered the happy occasion, 85 guests (including Saw star Shawnee Smith and 90210 cast member Christina Moore, who stepped into the role of maid of honor) looked on as the bride, dressed in a Cocoe Voci creation, exchanged vows with the bear expert.

To celebrate a love in full bloom (which began on the set of the movie Pretty Ugly People, in which Missi Pyle and Brutus the bear co-starred), the newlyweds sampled slices of a flower-accented three-tier cake concocted of lemon chardonnay and buttercream by Pearl Cafe & Bakery during the reception.

Wildlife naturalist Casey Anderson and his pawed pal Brutus offer an intimate glimpse into life among Yellowstone's population of 600 grizzlies in Expedition Grizzly, a documentary one year in the making which will air on the National Geographic Channel on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt's Wedding

Skywriting which spelled out the words "Spencer loves Heidi" floated momentarily among the clouds over Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, California on April 25, 2009 before the start of a wedding ceremony which finally united a couple whose romance was made in reality TV heaven--The Hills' Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.
Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratts wedding
Rising from the pews in her honor, 200 family members and friends-- among them Kristin Cavallari, Audrina Patridge, Frankie Delgado and Brody Jenner-- watched the bride walk down the aisle in a Monique Lhuillier creation. Looking dazzling for her "I do" in $1 million in jewelry from Neil Lane, the house of worship's lights danced on the facets of her diamond bracelets, pear-shaped earrings and hair pins as she took her place at the altar by her groom, whose Ermenegildo Zegna suit was accented with diamond cufflinks.

The ceremony was a family affair, with the groom's niece acting as flower girl and Pratt's sister and the bride's sister, dressed in sunshine yellow silk chiffon, stepping into the roles of bridesmaid and maid of honor.

Officially pronounced husband and wife (unlike the pair's previous Cabo San Lucas ceremony) a shower of rose petals rained down upon the newlyweds as they exited the church, with the bride tossing her bouquet (caught by Kristin Cavallari) before a black Rolls Royce Phantom whisked the couple to Social Hollywood for a reception, where the guests-- who dined on chicken salad, salmon pancakes, tuna tartare and slices of a five-tire wedding cake-- wished the bride and groom happiness, E! online reports. A separate reception was also held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

Celebrity Wedding Dresses From Yesterday and Today

From red carpet events to royal galas, the globe's glitterati may be accustomed to donning couture creations. However, no dress will ever mean more to any bride than the gown she dons for her wedding day. Following are a few celebrity "I do" designs from yesterday and today:

Marc Anthony Weds In Puerto Rico

Their marriage may not have stood the test of time, but former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres will always have the memory of the day she donned a Reem Acra creation and exchanged vows with salsa sensation Marc Anthony (seen in the photo to the left). Light danced on the facets of the Swarovski crystals which clung to the gown's duchesse satin fabric as the bride strolled down the aisle the San Juan Cathedral during the couple's 2002 vow renewal ceremony.
Marc Anthony Marries Miss Universe

Marc Anthony and Dayanara Torres' formal celebration of their love took place two years after their first walk down the aisle in the penthouse Oriental Suite at the Desert Inn. For their Vegas vows, the bride wore a two-tone Eduardo Lucero ensemble (seen in the photo to the left,) which she had donned to attend the Blockbuster Entertainment Awards earlier that evening.

Accustomed to building dream houses for fortunate recipients on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Constance Ramos turned to Kansas designer Elaine Beckman Biggs to contract her dream dress. On May 6, 2005 the bride walked down the aisle of Saint Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carlsbad, California in a lace draped creation with a scalloped hemline which pooled at her feet as she stood at the altar by her groom, J.J. Carrell.

Juxtaposed against the rustic charm of a barn's interior, actress Bethany Joy Lenz's strapless Justina McCaffrey wedding dress was an opulent ode to every girl's dream of a fairytale "I do." A trailing, diaphanous veil paired with a billowing ballgown skirt made for a a voluptuous vision as the One Tree Hill star walked along a wood floor which led to her groom, Michael Galeotti.

Harmonizing with the hue of the heavens on that August day in 1996, the few dainty silk flowers which clung to the straps of Tisha Campbell-Martin's off-the-shoulder silhouette provided her "something blue" on her wedding day. As bridesmaids Jada Pinkett (the future bride of actor Will Smith) and Brandy looked on, the bride made her grand entrance in an off-white creation by designer Renee Strauss, the garment's ballgown skirt gently shifting as she walked in backyard of the home she shared with the man who waited to make her his wife, actor Duane Martin.

Wedding Of Prince Johan Friso and Mabel Wisse Smit
The shadow of scandal having passed, there was nothing to darken the smile on Mabel Wisse Smit's face on the day she exchanged vows with Dutch Prince Johan Friso (seen in the photo below.) Wearing a couture Viktor & Rolf creation of duchesse satin sprinkled with 249 silk georgette bows, the bride first said "I do" in the Town Hall before walking down the aisle passed 1,400 guests at Delft's Old Church, where her new husband relinquished his position as third in line to the throne as he pledged his love.

Sarah Jessica Parker is not the only star who has worn a somber silhouette on her wedding day. Jennifer Connelly donned a black, off-the-shoulder gown with diaphanous sleeves on the day she said "I do" to actor Paul Bettany.

Actress Rachel Griffiths, who has appeared in such maritally-minded movies as My Best Friend's Wedding and Muriel's Wedding, enjoyed an "I do" day of her own on New Year's Eve 2002. The bride walked down the aisle in a silk gauze Alberto Ferretti creation, with flower-shaped hair adornments fashioned from mother-of-pearl adding an extra romantic element.

It was a "Beautiful Day" when U2 guitarist The Edge watched his bride, choreographer Morleigh Steinberg, walk toward him in a Rosai Nichols gown, an ethereal ivory creation whihc featured a delicate lace overlay.

Worlds youngest billionaire Hind Hariri got married - Paris
Hind Hariri (seen in the photo below) may be the world's youngest female billionaire, but the daughter of Lebanon's fallen former premier received a priceless gift on March 21, 2009-- the promise of a lifetime together with the man she loves-- her family's former bodyguard, Anas Karout. Exchanging vows in Paris, the bride wore an elaborate off-the-shoulder design from the couturier with a name that is the quintessence of French fashion, Chanel.

White strips of fabric which clung to the skirt of Arden Myrin's strapless Monique Lhuillier gown mirrored the look of merrily tossed confetti as the MADTV comedienne made her grand entrance at the Round Barn Farm in Waitsfield, Vermont.

Their union didn't last forever, but respect and affection remain between actress Kate Hudson and Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson. Years before her Bride Wars character retorts "You don't alter Vera to fit you; you alter yourself to fit Vera" the star slipped into her own Vera Wang bridal attire. Constructed of ivory satin, the strapless silhouette was draped with a white coat which kept the Colorado cold at bay for the wintertime vows.

Jayne And Mickey
Recognized as her signature shade, it came as no surprise that pink was Jayne Mansfield's preference not only for the invitations to her wedding with muscleman Mickey Hargitay, but also for her bridal attire (seen in the photo to the right.) As the romantic melody of "Because" filled the Wayfarer's Chapel on January 13, 1958, the '50's sex symbol strolled down the aisle in a powder pink, curve-conscious creation-- an extravagant assemblage of lace fashioned into a mermaid silhouette, a look accented by the addition of opera gloves.

While TV fans were used to seeing The Wonder Years' Winnie Cooper in early 1970's styles, on her wedding day a grown up Danica McKellar chose a contemporary creation from designer Renee Strauss. The beauty of the mermaid silhouette was enhanced with the addition of a fingertip veil and a tiara.

Wanting a look to match a one-of-a-kind love, NCIS star Pauley Perrette chose a vintage dress for her "I do". The retro romantic walked down the aisle in a cream-colored creation which she purchased at a thrift store for $20.

Natasha Bedingfield's Wedding (includes photos)

Peering out from behind the diaphanous blusher of her veil, Natasha Bedingfield-- the British songbird who soared to the top of the charts with her hit "Unwritten"-- said goodbye to her "Single" status on March 21, 2009 as she turned the page to the latest chapter in the book of her life.

Following in the footsteps of fellow songstress Fergie, the Grammy-nominated performer chose the Church Estate Vineyards in Malibu as the site to say "I do" to Matthew Robinson. The facets of her H Stern jewelry winking in the natural light at the 150 friends and family members gathered on the estate's grounds, the bride began her walk in a strapless, cream silk creation from Vera Wang down a trail of fragrant rose petals which led to the man she loves, E! reports.

During the half-hour ceremony, the groom- who had donned a dark Armani suit for the happy occasion-- slipped a wedding band on his bride's finger to accompany the diamond solitaire which has graced her hand since September 2008.

23009: Wedding Bells for Dog The Bounty Hunter's Daughter

Sunset on the evening of February 20, 2009 marked the dawn of a new day for Lyssa Chapman, the daughter of Duane "Dog" Chapman, as she said "I do" to her love of the past three years, Brahman "Bo" Galanti. Sinking into the horizon, the fading rays shined a spotlight on "Baby" Lyssa and her father as the group Na Leo performed "Rest of Your Life" while they walked down a white aisle runner which stretched over the ground at Lanikuhonua at Ko Olina, Oahu, leading her toward her groom.

According to the Honolulu Adviser, 200 friends and family members looked on as minister Tim Storey-- the officiant which united Dog The Bounty Hunter with Beth Smith in 2006-- pronounced the couple husband and wife after a ceremony complete with hand-penned vows and a traditional Hawaiian blessing.

Fans of the hit A&E series can witness the both pre-wedding preparations at the JW Marriott Resort & Spa and the happy event in an upcoming episode.

22009: Celebrity Wedding Dresses Past and Present

As with every other bride, the wedding dress of a star is an expression of her hopes and dreams. Following are a few of the "I do" designs chosen by celebrity brides from yesterday and today:

The blush pink hue of Lisa Loeb's strapless Amsale Blue Label gown and the bejeweled pendant adorning the garment's waist added a warm glow to the singer's wintertime walk down the aisle with her love, Roey Herskovitz.

Tommy Mattola Weds Thalia
Dubbed "Queen of the Telenovelas," Latin sensation Thalia celebrated her first moment of matrimony in a regal, hand-embroidered masterpiece of silk, satin and tulle (seen in the photo to the left.) A $350,000 Mitzy creation 18 months in the making, the gown featured silver thread embellishments and Swarovski crystals which captured the lights inside St. Patrick's Cathedral as she walked past Julio Iglesias, Michael Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and 200 other illustrious guests.

As a Cinderella-style carriage bore the bride to the 50-yard line of the M&T Bank Stadium, a storybook silhouette was needed for Shauna Chine's nuptials to football star Daniel Wilcox. Pnina Tornai scored a touchdown in the design department with a strapless, curve-conscious creation which flared into rippling waves of fabric that cascaded behind the lady of the hour as she walked toward her groom. Draped over the bride's hair and tumbling atop the gown's train, a lace-edged veil enhanced the effect of opulence.

In celebration of their eternal love, Twilight star Peter Facinelli stood at the altar of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Montecito, California back in 2001 and watched 90210 star Jennie Garth glide down the aisle to the strains of Pachelbel's "Canon in D Major" in an off-the-shoulder, ivory silk creation by Reem Acra.

A vintage diamond choker made a dramatic accent to Angela Bassett's gem of a dress on the day she wed actor Courtney B. Vance. Designed with a v-neckline, the silk Escada creation was paired with a French lace train which trailed four feet behind the bride.

Following her vows inside the Salt Lake Temple, the scarlet cape which draped over High School Musical star KayCee Stroh kept out the cold as she walked in snow as white as her Govavari Dupion silk Sottero and Midgley wedding dress.

Wedding Of Danish Crown Prince Frederik and Mary Donaldson
Lisa Rinna, who today highlights the hits and misses of Hollywood stars on the red carpet, wore a definite fashion "do" to her wedding-- a gown created by designer to the stars Vera Wang. A diaphanous veil floating behind her topped the romantic look of the white, floor-length slip dress.

Sprigs of Snow Gum-- its bloom a reminder of her native Australia-- was nestled into the array of white roses and stephanotis which the former Mary Donaldson carried on the day she donned a wedding dress designed by Uffe Frank (seen in the photo at left). Irish lace worn a century before by Crown Princess Margret of Sweden on the day she said "I do" framed the bride's face as she began her walk down the aisle, the Chantilly lace trim on the train of the duchess satin gown brushing gently against the red carpet as she made her way to the altar of Our Lady Lutheran Cathedral, where Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik waited to make her his wife.

Like a visual interpretation of one of her power ballads, Celine Dion's bridal attire featured dramatic flourishes. Light dancing off the facets of a seven-pound tiara accented with 2,000 Austrian crystals captured the attention of attendees as the pop superstar entered the Notre Dame Basilica in a fairytale frock created by Mirella and Steve Gentile.

NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon's heart accelerated when he saw Ingrid Vandebosch in her J. Mendel Couture wedding dress. Although showcasing daring decolletage, the gown's off-the-shoulder design, paired with a lace-trimmed veil, offered a hint of Regency romance.

Alan Thicke Wedding in Cabo San Lucas

A ruffled hem added a touch of flamenco flair to model Tanya Callau's Oscar de la Renta gown (seen in the photo to the left,) which was paired with a diaphanous veil that bobbed in the breeze as the bride exchanged vows with Growing Pains star Alan Thicke on the grounds of the One & Only Palmilla Resort.

Andrew Firestone
was The Bachelor no more when Ivana Bozilovic donned a Reem Acra gown and said "I do." The couple's two adorable fur babies-- an English bulldog named Twiggy and a beagle that answers to "Snoopy" were on hand to watch the bride walk down the aisle in the ivory silk and lace illusion creation.

Having scored a record six hat-tricks in one season, Scottish soccer star Kenny Deuchar could be considered a regal presence on the playing field. On the second weekend in January 2009 the athlete, who today plays for Utah's Real Salt Lake team, no doubt felt like a king as he said "I do" to Silvy Erskine at Airth Castle Hotel.

Returning to his homeland for the ceremony, the groom sported a kilt and sporan for his walk down the aisle at the 14th century retreat, while his bride opted for a classic white wedding dress designed with a sweetheart neckline.

11609: Golf Star Annika Sorenstam's Wedding

During her years on the fairway, Annika Sorenstam was victorious in 72 LPGA tournaments. On January 10, 2009, however, the recently retired golfing great won the greatest prize of all-- a love to last a lifetime.

The sun seemed to shine a spotlight on the Swedish sports star as she made her way to the afternoon ceremony at the Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in Orlando, Florida, where 125 friends and family member gathered to watch bridesmaids in brown strapless dresses walk down the aisle before the bride made her grand entrance in a strapless creation encrusted with beading.

After pledging her love to Mike McGee, her fiance since August 2007, the newlyweds and their guests celebrated into the evening hours at the 600-acre private retreat, the AP reports. Putting her golf clubs aside, the newly dubbed Mrs. McGee will test her skills on the ski slopes during her honeymoon shortly following her appearance at the Annika invitational at the Ginn Reunion Resort.

120908: Governor Crist's Wedding

Since the start of their romance in September 2007, Carole Rome has been first in the heart of the man she loves. On December 12, 2008 the socialite also became the First Lady of Florida as she said "I do" to Governor Charlie Crist. Olympian Shannon Miller and Tampa Bay Buccaneer Derrick Brooks were among the 200 guests who gathered inside the First United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg and rose from the pews as the regal strain of Trumpet Voluntary, the tune which famously accompanied Princess Diana's walk down the aisle in 1981, announced the arrival of the bride.

Clutching a bouquet of ivory roses, a pair of three inch Filippa Scott shoes carried the bride to her destination in a silk silhouette from Pronovias, which had been purchased at the Wedding Atelier in Manhattan.

Signifying a union both of two soul mates and of their families, the bride's two young daughters-- dressed, like the matron of honor and the Governor's sisters in champagne-colored creations by designer Jim Hjelm-- gave their mother away to the groom, who looked dapper as he stood at the flower-bedecked altar in a black tuxedo, Tampa Bay Online reported.

Following the exchange of vows, in which the newly dubbed Mrs. Crist received a diamond encrusted white gold wedding band from the Gold & Diamond Center to accompany the sapphire engagement ring which has graced her finger since July 3, 2008, the doors of the Renaissance Vinoy Resort and Golf Club's Grand Ballroom opened to family and friends for a reception.

120308: Archduchess Marie-Christine of Austria's Wedding (Photo)

On the morning of December 6, 2008, Belgians gathered to give and receive presents in observance of St. Nicholas' Feast Day. That afternoon, Archduchess Marie-Christine of Austria and Count Rodolphe of Limburg Stirum also took part in the time-honored tradition, presenting each other with a gift that will last a lifetime-- their promise to love, honor and cherish each other as they pledged their devotion first in a civil ceremony, then a religious blessing of their marriage.

Although winter's chill has taken hold in the city of Mechelen, the beaming smile of the bride warmed the crowd as she clutched a bouquet of pale yellow roses interspersed with white and blue blossoms and strolled along a red carpet leading her inside Mechelen's City Hall.

One hour after being pronounced husband and wife in a civil ceremony, the newlyweds made their way to St. Rumbolds Cathedral to have their union blessed in the eyes of the church. Strolling down a red aisle runner, the bride passed by family and friends who rose in her honor, admiring her satin wedding ensemble by designer Yves Dooms. The beauty of the regal raiment was enhanced with the addition of a delicate heirloom lace veil which clung to a dainty tiara from the Luxembourg family.

Making their exit from the house of worship, the groom began their happily ever after by kissing his bride's cheek.

White fur cuffs provided a touch of winter wonder to a wedding garment created by designer Yves Dooms. The satin silhouette was paired with a diaphanous lace veil, the fabric once belonging to Empress Eugenie. Adding the crowning touch to the ensemble was a tiara from the Luxembourg family.

112808: Billionaire Charles Simonyi's Wedding

Although he flew among the stars a year ago as a space tourist on a 10-day journey to the International Space Station, on November 22, 2008 billionaire Charles Simonyi was in seventh heaven as he said "I do" to his love of less than one year, Lisa Persdotter. Standing at the altar of the Christine Kyrka in Gothenburg, Sweden, the former Microsoft pioneer watched his bride walk down the aisle in a strapless gown paired with a lace-edged, diaphanous veil.

Among the many guests to rise from the pews at her passing were the groom's former Microsoft colleague Bill Gates and Ace of Base member Ulf Ekberg, who looked on as the Swedish socialite received a wedding band to accompany the engagement ring which came with the couple's 8/8/08 proposal in St. Tropez, Sweden's The Local reported.

The couple's first stroll together as husband and wife led them out of the house of worship and into a waiting limousine which took the newlyweds to the Park Lane Club for a reception.

Upon their return from a honeymoon getaway, the pair will be busy writing thank you notes to family and friends for presents they received from the NK luxury shopping mall in Gothenburg, where the couple had placed a wedding registry list.

110308: George Stephanopolous' 2001 Wedding: A Look Back

The Wedding of George Stephanopoulos
As the 2008 presidential election draws near, Lovetripper takes a look back at the wedding of the ABC News Chief Washington correspondent who will be covering the event as history unfolds November 4th, former political adviser George Stephanopolous:

Colleagues of the ABC network, Peter Jennings was accustomed to reporting the news of the day while Barbara Walters ruminated over events with her co-stars on The View. On November 20, 2001, however the TV icons became the news as they took their seats alongside 200 other guests in the pews that line the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Manhattan and waited for the start of one of the most prominent occasions on New York's social calendar that year-- the wedding of George Stephanopoulos, the former adviser to President Clinton, and actress Alexandra Wentworth (known to TV trivia buffs as "Schmoopy" from an episode of Seinfeld).

Candlelight illuminating their path, two cherubic flower girls in white carried bow-adorned baskets down the aisle as junior bridesmaids crowned with white blossom wreaths followed close behind before the bride made her grand entrance in a lace accented, silk Vera Wang creation, People magazine reported. Smiling as she passed by familiar faces such as model Paulina Porizkova and political commentator James Carville, she walked toward the altar where her groom, dressed in a dark Gucci suit, waited to make her his wife.

Having proposed on a Greek isle, the groom further honored his heritage by asking his father, a Greek Orthodox priest, to preside over their union. Once proclaimed Mr. and Mrs., the bride displayed her recently-acquired dancing skills at the reception as she performed traditional Greek dances with her new family.

102708: Olympic Figure Skater Peter Tchernyshev's Wedding

While Naomi Lang has been the on ice partner of Peter Tchernyshev since 1996, on October 14, 2008 the male half of the gold medal-winning U.S. Figure Skating champions was joined in matrimony with the woman who has promised to be his partner in life, actress Anastasia Zavorotnyuk. The peal of wedding bells rang out the happy news as the newly-pronounced husband and wife emerged from the Church of Christ's Resurrection in Foros, Chimea to a shower of white rose petals which seemed to christen their union.

Less than two months before his nuptials, the 2002 Olympian had walked down the aisle at another blessed event-- the wedding of his skating mate, Naomi Lang. Donning a black suit, Tchernyshev acted as the bride's best man when Lang said "I do" to Mark Fitzgerald at a castle in Tarrytown, New York on August 24, 2008, icenetwork.com reports.

100508: Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky's Wedding

Although the stars twinkled in night sky over New York City on October 3, 2008, their shine could not compete with the star wattage at Le Cirque restaurant as Donald Trump, John Stamos, Billy Joel and his wife Katie Lee, Barbara Walters, Jimmy Kimmel, Sarah Silverman, Chevy Chase, Joan Rivers and Robin Quivers gathered to witness the King of All Media crown Beth Ostrosky his queen.

The early autumn chill in the air had no effect on Stern's long-time love as she wrapped herself in a white shawl and stepped out of the black limousine which bore both the bride and groom to their wedding destination. The fabric had a double role for the evening, also shielding the paparazzi's view of the bride's Marchesa gown.

According to a pre-"I do" report in Page Six magazine, Bianca-- the couple's beloved English Bulldog-- was to be a bridesmaid in the ceremony, wearing a crystal-embellished collar from Hampton Hounds for her stroll down the aisle.

Although she was presented with a 5.2-carat, emerald cut engagement ring from jeweler Richie Winick after accepting the shock jock's February 2007 proposal, the bride intends only to wear the wedding band which was slipped on her finger during a ceremony conducted by actor Mark Consuelos (husband of Live with Regis and Kelly star Kelly Ripa, who was among the invited guests). As a piece of jewelry which holds a special significance, the diamond on her engagement ring will get a chance to shine on special occasions.

Following the exchange of vows, the New York Post reports that the newly pronounced Mr. and Mrs. and those dear to their hearts dined on bass garnished with a light sauce and caviar and sampled slices of a wedding cake topped with a likeness of the couple's "baby," Bianca the English Bulldog.

100408: Kelly Chen's Wedding (photo)

Her performance in the closing ceremony of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing was witnessed by a worldwide audience, but on October 2, 2008 only friends and family who received invitations emblazoned with lyrics from her hit singles "A Lover's Concerto" and Love Paradise" watched singer/actress Kelly Chen become the wife of Alex Lau, her love of the past 16 years. A virtual Who's Who of Asian entertainment, including Tony Ching, Patrick Tse and Mark Lui were among the guests who gathered in the ballroom of the International Hotel in Hong Kong for the joyous occasion, batgwa.com reports.

Ten bridesmaids dressed in white helped the bride with the 30-foot-long train of her wedding dress-- a garment embellished with fabric flowers, its beauty enhanced with the addition of dainty gloves and a diaphanous veil which tumbled from her a headband placed around her sleek chignon. Following their vows, the newlyweds were greeted with the flash of reporter's camera's as they drank celebratory champagne and cut slices of a five-tier wedding cake.

93208: Looking Back at Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner's 1957 Wedding

Robert Wagner & Natalie Wood Wedding
As actor Robert Wagner opens the chapters of his life story to the public in his just-released autobiography Pieces of My Heart: A Life, Lovetripper takes a look back at one of the happiest days in his life-- his wedding in 1957 to actress Natalie Wood:

Toasting the upcoming first anniversary of their love,on December 6, 1957 movie idol Robert Wagner filled Natalie Wood's glass not only with celebratory champagne, but also with a pearl-and-diamond ring, its inscription bearing the words which would lead to their walk down the aisle: "Marry Me."

A mere three weeks later, on December 28, 1957, the actress found herself clutching a bouquet in her glove-covered hands as she made her way to the altar of the Scottsdale United Methodist Church in Scottsdale, Arizona. Acting as maid of honor, her sister Lana (who would capture the ceremony in the pages of Natalie, her biography of her famous sibling) and the bride's Rebel Without a Cause co-star Nick Adams, also a member of the wedding party, looked on as the couple were pronounced husband and wife.

After cutting slices of a three-tier wedding cake at a reception held at the Valley Ho Resort, the newlyweds boarded a train for a honeymoon excursion to Florida.

Although their romance proved to be a roller coaster ride which ended in divorce in 1962, the legendary lovers found their way back to each others arms once again years later, leading to another wedding ceremony on July 16, 1972. The couple remained together until Natalie Wood's untimely passing in 1981.

93108: Prince Waldemar zu Schaumburg-Lippe's Wedding (photo)

On September 20, 2008, the clip-clop of horses' hooves announced the arrival of a carriage bearing a bride to Schoenbrunn Castle in Vienna, Austria. Clutching a bouquet of pink and ivory roses interspersed with baby's breath and greenery, Gertraud Antonia Wagner-Schoeppl descended from the buggy and strolled inside where her groom, Prince Waldemar zu Schaumburg-Lippe, waited to make her his wife.

Looking pretty in pink, Boris Becker's daughter Anna fulfilled her role as flower girl with three other young ladies, paving the path to the altar with rose petals before the bride made her grand entrance in a gown from Brautsalon Klagenfurt.

Following the 5 p.m. ceremony, family and friends wished the newlyweds well at a reception held at the hotel Schoenbrumm, Salzburg24 reported.

92708: Actor Claus Theo Gaertner's Wedding

Claus Theo Gaertner, famous to German TV viewers for his role as detective Josef Matula on the long-running series Ein Fall fuer Zwei (A Case for Two), seems to have solved the mystery that is true love. Friends and family gathered at the Museum Lindengut in Winterthur, Switzerland on September 20, 2008 to witness the actor exchange vows with Sarah Wuergler, Focus online reported.

The couple, who have found their 35-year age difference to be no hindrance to their six-year romance, arrived at their wedding venue in a vintage vehicle-- a VW bus. Continuing the retro theme, the bride donned a veiled hat-- an accessory prized by brides of yesteryear-- which accented her champagne-colored silk skirt, buff-toned top and ivory bolero jacket.

After receiving a Tiffany wedding band, rose petals and rice rained down upon the bride and her newly-dubbed husband, blessing their union as they made their way first to the Roessli Illnau, then the Park Hotel Winterthur for post-wedding celebrations.

Victoria Beckham's Engagement Ring

While their rise in star stature over the years has allowed for an ever-changing array of diamond rings for her left hand, the three-carat, marquise cut ring presented to Victoria Beckham (still Victoria Adams at the time) by soccer legend David Beckham when he asked for her hand in marriage at the Rookery Hall Hotel in January 1998 surely holds a special place in the heart of the former Spice Girl. Purchased at a price of $65,000, reports have attributed the sparkler to two different jewelers, with some sites claiming Van Cleef & Arpels as the ring's origin, while others indicate that the symbol of the couple's love came from the equally top drawer jewelry retailer Boodle & Dunthorpe.

Equally enamoured by diamonds, the prospective groom received his own engagement ring from his bride-to-be-- a band embellished with 96 diamonds at the cost of $80,000, People magazine reported. Doubtless both of their rings, along with their wedding bands, sparkled in the light as they drank Laurent Perrier rose champagne toasts to their union on July 4, 1999.

On February 21, 1952, the violet-eyed vision pledged her devotion during a short civil ceremony which was conducted at Caxton Hall in London, England, author C. David Heymann reported in Liz, a biography of the cinematic legend. Although the couple would enjoy a promising beginning, which included an eight-day honeymoon excursion to the Swiss Alps following their first night together as husband and wife at London's Berkley Hotel, their marriage --which produced two children-- came to an end in early 1957.

Taylor And Wilding

Displaying her diverse design skills, MGM's Helen Rose created a demure dove grey wool frock with white organdy accents for Elizabeth Taylor's second walk down the aisle-- a drastic change from the traditional white satin wedding dress she wore for her first foray into marriage with Nicky Hilton in 1950. Like many brides of the era, the actress embellished the look with a single strand of pearls and a pair of white gloves.

Celebrity Engagement Rings: LisaRaye Misick

The promise that came with a brilliant-cut marquise diamond engagement ring led to a walk down the aisle for actress LisaRaye McCoy, star of UPN/The CW's All of Us, and her real life leading man, Chief Minister of the Turks and Caicos Michael Misick. Among those to admire the sparkler and the small pink diamonds that enhanced the jewel were friends Jasmine Guy (former star of The Cosby Show spin-off A Different World) and silver screen siren Vivica A. Fox, two of the 356 guests to receive an invitation to the couple's April 8, 2006 outdoor ceremony at the Amanyara Resort, InStyle Weddings reported.

Celebrity Wedding Photo: Elizabeth Taylor and Nick Hilton on Honeymoon in 1950

Newlyweds Elizabeth Taylor and hotel heir Conrad "Nick" Hilton Jr. set a course for romance when the Queen Mary set sail on May 24, 1950, 18 days after the couple said "I do" at the Church of The Good Shepherd in Beverly Hills. Her 5-carat diamond engagement ring and platinum-and-diamond wedding band sparkling in the light as she waved good-bye, the honeymooners headed out on a 14-week excursion which would take them to Monte Carlo, Cannes and Cap d'Antibes, according to Kitty Kelly, the author of Elizabeth Taylor: The Last Star. While the newly dubbed Mrs. Hilton may have felt, like so many other just-married lovebirds, as though she and her husband were the only two on board, the luxury liner's passenger list also contained the names of another twosome whose wedding caused a media frenzy in 1937-- the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.

Wedding Photo: Elizabeth Taylor and Nick Hilton, 1950

On May 6, 1950 the strains of "The Wedding March" was the cue for guests inside The Church of The Good Shepherd in Beverly Hills to rise from the pews as Elizabeth Taylor made her grand entrance in a white satin wedding dress created by MGM studio designer Helen Rose, who would go on to construct bridal attire for another queen of the silver screen when Grace Kelly became the wife of Prince Rainier. The look of the gown would create movie magic soon after the bride's walk down the aisle, as the silver screen beauty had donned bridal attire almost identical to her own "I do" design for the comedy Father of The Bride.

Standing at the altar was Hilton Hotel heir Conrad "Nicky" Hilton, Jr. The couple parted ways in January 1951.

Wedding Photo: Prince Charles and Princess Diana On Balcony of Buckingham Palace

A courtly buss on the hand would later be followed by a proper kiss as the newly pronounced Diana, Princess of Wales and her prince stood on the balcony of Buckingham Palace after their July 29, 1981 wedding ceremony.

Images captured of the moment also reveal details of Princess Diana's wedding dress. Constructed of ivory silk, the David and Elizabeth Emanuel creation is sprinkled with 10,000 pearls and mother of pearl sequins and lavishly accented with Carrickmacross lace, which was originally a present to Queen Mary from the Royal School of Needlework. While the gown's 25-foot-long train and lace-edged veil were the hallmarks of a royal bride, Diana's wedding dress also contained more intimate items, including a small blue bow (her "something blue") and a diamond-bedecked gold horseshoe for good luck.

A wedding dress with such "wow" factor needed a bouquet to make an equally impressive impact. When Diana walked down the aisle of St. Paul's Cathedral she had carried with her a cluster of yellow Mountbatten roses, gardenias, stephanotis, orchids, lily of the valley, freesia, and cuttings of myrtle and veronica from Osborne House-- a royal tradition observed since the days of Queen Victoria.

Wedding Photo: Princess Diana On Her Way To St. Paul's Cathedral

The eyes of the world were upon 20-year-old former nanny Diana Spencer as a Glass Coach left Clarence House, the residence of the Queen Mother, and made its way through the streets of London. Peering through the same window just as Princess Elizabeth (today Queen Elizabeth) did on her wedding day in 1947, the bride waved to the spectators that lined the way to St. Paul's Cathedral as an estimated 750 million television viewers shared in the happy occasion.

Her carriage reaching its destination at 11 A.M., a crowd that had held its collective breath in anticipation let out a thunderous cheer as Diana stepped out from her ride in a pair of gold-gilded, ivory silk Baboucha slippers, revealing for the first time the silhouette of her Emanuel wedding dress.

Although nothing could match the sparkle in her eyes that day, the play of light on Diana Spencer's engagement ring came in a close second. Purchased from Garrard Jewellers, deemed the Crown Jeweller since the time of Queen Victoria, the ring featured an oval blue sapphire embraced by 14 small diamonds. The couple, who became engaged on February 6, 1981 in the nursery at Windsor Castle, according to Andrew Morton's book Diana Her True Story, accepted the well wishes of the press on the 24th of the same month as the official announcement was made from Buckingham Palace that the heir to the throne had chosen a bride.

Celebrity Wedding Photo: Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew' s Wedding in 1986

Mirroring the joy in her heart that day, Sarah Ferguson's silk tulle veil danced in the breeze as she stepped out of a glass carriage to the thunderous cheers of wellwishers who had gathered outside of Westminster Abbey on July 23, 1986 in order to be among the first to glimpse the bride's wedding dress. A fairytale frock composed of ivory duchess satin, designer Lindka Cierach created a 17-foot, 6 inch train which trailed behind the bride as she was escorted down the aisle by her father toward the man she loved, Prince Andrew. Marking her transformation into The Duchess of York, the halo of roses, gardenias, lily petals and lilies-of-the-valley which graced her head at the start of the ceremony was removed once the bride and groom were pronounced husband and wife, revealing a decidedly more regal accessory-- a diamond tiara.

While their marriage was not to stand the test of time, their union not only produced two daughters which are the lights of both their lives, it also created a lasting friendship between the former couple, whose love and respect for each other carry on to this day.

73508: Lady Rose Windsor's Wedding

Rising from her pew inside the Queen's Chapel in London on July 19, 2008, happy memories of her own recent walk down the aisle no doubt brought a smile to the former Autumn Kelly as she stood by Peter Phillips' side and watched Lady Rose Windsor as she made her grand entrance on the arm of her father, the Duke of Gloucester. Wearing a classic white gown created by Franka Couture, the London design house which also produced Davina Windsor's lace-accented, cream-hued bridal attire for her Kensington Palace wedding ceremony in July 2004, the bride swept passed Princess Anne, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Lady Sarah Chatto and Kate Middleton, who will possibly be the next to enter into the royal fold, as she made her way to the altar, where George Gilman, her fiance since November 2007, waited to make her his wife.

During the ceremony the bride (whose name may be familiar to movie buffs from its appearance by the title "art assistant" in the credits for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix) and her groom listened intently as Lady Sarah Chatto and Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex, who had guided to bride through the years in their roles as godparents, gave readings, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Following the exchange of rings, the newlyweds were greeted with a shower of rose petals which christened their love as they left the church.

Celebrity Wedding Photo: Lady Rose Windsor and George Gilman

July 19, 2008 was not the first time that a member of the royal family was escorted down the aisle in a Franka Couture creation. On July 31, 2004 Lady Davina Windsor, the elder sister of Lady Rose Windsor, said "I do" to Gary Lewis in an intimate ceremony held at the chapel at Kensington Palace.

The following photo also offers a glimpse at the flower girls' garments, which were ballerina-length white dresses accented with a sash. For the bridesmaids (not shown), Lady Rose Windsor chose flattering porcelain blue gowns.

Celebrity Wedding Photo: Kate Middleton Attends Wedding of Lady Rose Windsor

Kate Middleton wore a black fascinator to witness Lady Rose Windsor pledge her devotion to George Gilman. Will she soon don a tiara for her own walk down the aisle? While only time can answer that question, speculation of an impending engagement continues to grow as Prince William's love once again stands in for the second in line to the throne while the young royal continues his tour of duty aboard the Iron Duke in the Caribbean.

Two months before the wedding of Lady Rose Windsor, Autumn Kelly donned a silk satin gown by Sassi Holford for her exchange of vows with Peter Phillips, the son of Princess Anne, at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. Autumn Kelly said "I do" in a diadem on loan from her new mother-in-law Princess Anne, while Lady Rose Windsor placed a tiara which once belonged to Queen Mary on her head before her walk down the aisle.

Mick Jagger's 1971 Wedding (Photo)

While time wasn't on their side, the nine-year marriage of Rolling Stones flamboyant frontman Mick Jagger and first wife Bianca Perez Morena de Macias left a lasting impression on the world of rock and roll.

Although four months into her pregnancy with daughter Jade, the bride's body-conscious Yves Saint Laurent pantsuit gave no indication of her baby bump as she arrived at the Saint-Tropez Town Hall on May 12, 1971 for a civil wedding ceremony. Projecting an image more of a businessman than rock's reigning bad boy, the groom donned a three-piece suit for the occasion, which he paired with tennis shoes, allowing a touch of his rebellious spirit to shine through.

Following a civil ceremony held at the St. Tropez Town Hall, Mick Jagger and his bride, the former Bianca Perez Morena de Macias, were greeted by a swarm of devoted fans as they arrived at the Chapel of St. Anne for a religious blessing of their union.

Although known for performing lustful lyrics, the Rolling Stones lead singer opted for traditional music on his wedding day. According to the BBC, Bach's wedding march played as the couple presented each other with wedding bands, while the theme from Love Story, the year's most popular cinematic tear-jerker, also echoed inside the house of worship.
