20809: Atlanta Braves Star Derek Lowe's Wedding

Baseball star Derek Lowe, who signed a four-year contract with the Atlanta Braves in January 2009, has revealed that he also recently signed a lifelong contract-- a marriage license.

The starting pitcher said "I do" to former TV sports journalist Carolyn Hughes in December 2008 inside Lovett Hall in The Henry Ford at Dearborn, Michigan, the Boston Herald reports.

Following their nuptials, the newlyweds enjoyed a reception at The Ritz Carlton-- a fete that was hit out of the ballpark with the assistance of Ivy Robinson Wedding & Events. In a room accented in red and gold, the happy couple sampled slices of a four tier wedding cake created by The Art of Cake as they celebrated with family and friends.
