An array of A-listers converged on the Caribbean during the first weekend in October 2007 as Sandals Grande Antigua Resort and Spa opened the doors of its new 180-suite Mediterranean Village. Living her “Life in the Fab Lane,” fashion-forward Kimora Lee Simmons donned a turquoise-tinted frock reminiscent of the waters off Dickenson Bay to enjoy a concert performance by Shaggy, which kicked off the glitterati’s three-day getaway.
Tinseltown twosome Brooke Burke and David Charvet, along with former “Dancing With The Stars” contestant Stacy Keibler and Rumer Willis, sporting her new platinum pixie ‘do, moved their feet to the beat of Grammy Award winner Sean Paul at an island beach party the following evening.
In between soirees, actress Teri Polo took the time to soak up some rays, while “Gossip Girl” star Blake Lively, TV hostess Maria Menounos and MTV reality star Stephen Colletti played soccer on the resort’s powder white sands before a potpourri of pyrotechnics provided a spectacular sendoff for the celebrity guests.
