Reality TV-watching romantics are cordially invited to witness a new season of ceremony excess as TLC celebrates “I do” diversity on My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding.
In the premiere episode the veil is lifted on the love story of a Romany Romeo and Juliet who are resolute in the desire to join their lives together in the bonds of matrimony although their quarreling kin are determined to keep them apart.
Over the course of the eight-episode arc viewers are also cordially invited to be virtual guests as two sisters get ready for their walk down the aisle with non-Gypsy grooms. and a pair of online lovebirds prepare to meet for the first time on the day they tie the knot. The program will also take a look at young Gypsies who defy the age old customs of their community as they try to carve out new lives as a model and a rapper.
Vowing to wow fashion fans with a show of flamboyant frocks, a bevy of blinged out brides will walk down the aisle in spectacular style thanks to the designs of Sondra Celli, whose wedding wear has been woven into the very fabric of American traveler culture for more than three decades.
Narrated by Ellen K (co-host of On-Air with Ryan Seacrest), the new season of My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding premieres on April 3rd at 9/8c on TLC.
