When dream I do’s turn out to be nuptial nightmares, celebrity event designer Diann Valentine gives couples a second chance at a walk down the aisle that they will want to relive whenever they take a walk down memory lane on the new WE tv series I Do Over.
Premiering November 13, 2011 at 10 P.M. ET/PT, the party planner for such paparazzi magnets as Usher, Martin Lawrence and Toni Braxton acts as a fairy godmother for brides and grooms, turning their gloom into grins in five days with help from Celebrations.com and Jim McCann, the founder of 1-800-FLOWERS.COM.
Wedding watchers are cordially invited to witness the following maritally-minded episodes:
Hoping for classy, the Santinis wound up with a trashy wedding ceremony when they exchanged vows 18 years ago, with the seamstress pulling a disappearing act with all of the bridesmaids’ dresses on the big day.
The temperature soared at Tasha and Wes Owens’ first wedding, but only hearts will melt when Diann Valentine orchestrates their vows.
“Make or Break Wedding”
A footloose time at her bachelorette party led to a broken foot for bride-to-be Lindsy, who wants to be able to waltz down the aisle with her father.
“Wedding Weather Woes”
Shakespeare once wrote that love “is an ever-fixed mark that looks on tempests and is never shaken.” The powerful storm and tsunami warnings never swayed the Tumbagas’ plans to pledge their devotion to each other, but it did dampen spirits at the ceremony. Will the sun smile on the happy couple the second time around?
“Up in Smoke”
Although guests have been known to burn up the dance floor during post-wedding festivities, Jennifer and Ian Pepples had to contend with a real fire in their reception hall on the day they said “I do.” When Diann Valentine offers them a chance for a second ceremony, it ignites the pair’s passion for pefection.
“Stopped Dead at the Altar”
A groom’s heart has been known to skip a beat when watching their bride walk down the aisle, but groom Jason flatlined at the altar. Revived by his brother-in-law, the romantic made it through his wedding vows, but missed out on the celebration. Luckily, when it comes to a stress-free ceremony, Diann Valentine is just what the doctor ordered.
