Discovering the recipe for her own personal happiness, Katherine Kallinis from the TLC series DC Cupcakes will share the ingredients which made her “I do” such a treat in the upcoming ceremony special, DC Cupcakes: My Sweet Wedding.
Offering viewers a taste of all the nuptial goodness in store, an evening of vow wows on TLC begins with an episode of Say Yes To the Dress which focuses on the reality personality’s search for the perfect silhouette at Kleinfeld Bridal.
Following the special episode of Say Yes to the Dress, the bride unveils her ceremony experience on DC Cupcakes: My Sweet Wedding, which sprinkles I do details throughout the episode ranging from her bridal shower to planning the big day with the help of celebrity party planner Sharon Sacks (who recently orchestrated the wedding ceremonies of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries and Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo.
Like every bride, Katherine Kallinis’ nuptial number was the icing on the wedding (cup)cake. A Vera Wang creation of Chantilly lace, French tulle, pleated organza and multi-layered lace applique, the ballgown made a statement as the reality star made her grand entrance at Montecito, California’s San Ysidro Ranch.
The 200 guests who witnessed the bride’s walk down the aisle on September 17, 2011 in a pair of red-soled stilettos were equally enamored of the gown worn by the star’s sister and business partner Sophie LaMontagne, who donned a strapless midnight blue Monique Lhuillier pleated bodice gown with a frayed swirl organza skirt for the role as Matron of Honor. Topping off their wedding wear, the sisters each carried crystal-embellished Judith Leiber “cupcake” minaudieres– Katherine’s a strawberry design and Sophie’s a chocolate-themed concoction.
After the exchange of vows, family and friends– including the Mother of the bride, who wore an off-the-shoulder Ines Di Santo dress for the occasion– offered the newlyweds best wishes at a reception in an open air tent at the top of San Ysidro Ranch.
Wedding watchers are cordially invited to witness the vows when DC Cupcakes: My Sweet Wedding premieres November 11, 2011 at 10 P.M. ET on TLC.
