Wedding watchers who want to relive the memory of Kate Middleton and Prince William’s walk down the aisle can now walk down the aisles of a London toy store and purchase dolls which capture the magic of the ceremony of the century.
Created by the Chelsea, London-based toy manufacturer which made the Kate Middleton engagement doll a top-seller among collectors, on August 18, 2011 Arklu unveiled both an individual Princess Catherine bride doll and a box set featuring the two royal romantics on their wedding day.
The dolls, which were launched at British toy store Hamleys, are available on Arklu’s website and will also be sold online to American anglophiles on Amazon.com. Priced at £49.95 ($79.95) for the Princess Catherine doll and £99.95 ($159.95) for Prince William and Princess Catherine as a pair, £1 from each unit will be donated to the RNLI, a charity which saves lives at sea along the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts, in appreciation of the royal couple’s launch of a lifeboat at the RNLI base at Trearddur Bay, in Anglesey, North Wales– their first official public engagement together.
