Offering a sneak peek of the “I do” designs which will soon be seen on brides of distinction, Stephanie Allin recently showcased her latest wedding wear at The White Gallery in London.
Romantic tunes penned by Cole Porter and Gershwin were musical muses for the Welsh designer during the creation of the collection, and jazz influence wove its way into a presentation which paid homage to the past with a subtle play of nostalgic nuances and modern elements.
A collection consisting of beaded embellishments, feathered and textured fabrics, delicate lace overlays, a hint of hues including black, gold and silver and a range of belts captivated the crowd which eyed the catwalk at the Conde Nast Brides-sponsored event.
At the forefront of UK bridal fashion for the past two decades, Stephanie Allin’s wedding attire was seen on the silver screen in the 2009 Dustin Hoffman/Emma Thompson dramedy Last Chance Harvey, and the designer herself was called upon by ABC News to provide her predictions for the ceremony silhouette of the century– Kate Middleton’s gown.
