As couples declare their I do’s, wedding guests will exclaim “I do declare!” when attending a ceremony filled with southern charm in historic Savannah.
Pairs can pledge their love in the presence of the past at three venues offered by Luxury Living Savannah:
The Forsyth Park Mansion: Couples can celebrate a love in full bloom amid the floral finery in one of Savannah’s largest private gardens that beautifies the exterior of an elegant edifice which has achieved historic certification. A four-bedroom home featuring five bathrooms, a formal living room and dining room, a gourmet kitchen and side porches which stretch across the mansion’s exterior, the venue can accommodate weddings of up to 150 people, with sleeping arrangements available for up to 20 guests.
The Washington Square House: Constructed circa 1790, centuries of lovebirds have walked along its staircase, on the heart pine floors and underneath stylish plaster ceiling medallions. Featuring four bedrooms and an equal number of bathrooms, a formal living and dining room, gourmet kitchen, sun room, a courtyard with a fountain and a two-bedroom, two-bath Carriage House, this distinguished estate can accommodate up to 50 people for weddings, and can provide sleeping quarters for 16 guests.
The Wedding Cake Mansion: Located on Savannah’s Monterey Square, which played a prominent role in the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, this Empire Baroque abode received its name from residents deemed its elaborate white bay window with ornate stained glass and white ornamental ironwork reminiscent of wedding day confection perfection. Having undergone a $3 million renovation, the high profile property– which has received historical certification– features 4-5 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, a formal living and dining room and gourmet kitchen in the main house and a two-bedroom, two-bath garden suite and a one-bedroom, one-bath Carriage House. Up to 50 people can be accommodated for a wedding, while sleeping accommodations are available for up to 21 guests.
Offering to escort brides and grooms through every step surrounding their impending walk down the aisle from luncheons, rehearsal dinners and after-reception brunches to meet-and-greets, wedding party outings, the reception and the main event itself, the event planners at Luxury Living Savannah can assist in turning the idea of a destination I do in Savannah from romantic reverie to reality.
