The vow of “til death do us part” will take on a whole new meaning as an ‘undead’ duo says “I do” at the first-ever Zombie wedding, hosted by horror star– and ordained minister –Bruce Campbell. The lucky couple– Nathan Dooling and Casey Russell– will swear their undying love in the presence of the original cast of The Evil Dead on October 30, 2010 at the EMP/SFM at the Seattle Center during an annual fright flick celebration, ZomBcon.
Following the scream-themed wedding, couples already tied by the bonds of matrimony can renew their vows in a mass vow renewal ceremony in Seattle’s Sky Church at the Experience Music Project Museum as part of The Evil Dead Smack Down film gala that will include a director’s cut of the cult classic The Evil Dead with a new 35mm print.
To participate in the vow renewal, Evil Dead devotees must:
- Be over the age of 18 and show a marriage license as proof that they are already married.
- Receive a wristband prior to the presentation– couples cannot show up on the day of the ceremony without registration.
- Get in the spirit of the convention and dress as zombies for the ceremony. Couples not dressed as a member of the undead cannot participate.
