Wedding attire trends may come and go, but a slimming silhouette will always be in style. For the bride striving to whittle her waistline for her walk down the aisle, designer Gilles Montezin has created “Le Cinch,” a built in bodice and boning construction for his recently launched collection of figure-flattering wedding frocks.
Originally concocting dramatic designs as a costumier for The Opera Bastille in Paris, Montezin’s wearable works of art has since showcased the sleek physiques of models in Women’s Wear Daily and ELLE Sweden as well as actress Sarah Jessica Parker’s style maven Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and The City The Movie. Continuing his flair for showstopping fashion, the designer’s current collection of pret-a-porter wedding gowns sculpt the bride’s shape into hourglass proportions with the assistance of “Le Cinch,” a contemporary corset which reduces a woman’s waistline between two to four inches.
Gilles Montezin wedding dresses range from $4,000 – $7,000 retail, and are available up to size 18W.
