80714: Zagat Rated Chef to Cater Weddings at New BVI Resort

If you dream of a star chef catering your wedding, your chance is coming up in early 2009. Chef David Miller, a Zagat Rated Chef, in partnership with Savant Fine Dining is opening a restaurant at the new Scrub Island, a private island resort to open in the British Virgin Islands. The fine dining restaurant named Antilia will feature a six-course menu, set to change weekly to offer in-season foods.

Of special interest to brides, signature handmade desserts by Savant Fine Chocolates showcase the sweeter side of life at Antilia. From handmade chocolates and wedding cakes, to signature ice sculptures and food carvings, brides can also choose to have their wedding catered by a Zagat rated chef without leaving the private island.

More About Chef Miller: Chef David Miller is currently the Executive Chef at the prestigious Savant Fine Dining restaurant, located in Clearwater, Florida. Opened less than four years, Clearwater’s Savant Fine Dining has already earned countless accolades including the 2006 Best Fine Dining Splurge in Tampa Bay and the 2007 Most Extravagant Dish, as well as being deemed one of America’s Top Restaurants by Zagat in 2008.

Classically trained at The Culinary Institute of America, The International School of Confectionery Sugars and the Notter School of Pastry Arts, Chef David Miller started his career as a private chef on Sunset Key, then moved to work as an Executive Chef for major hospitality clients.
