Both Sonesta properties in St. Maarten are excellent choices for a place to stay on your honeymoon.
Great Bay Beach resort is the smaller of the two, and is located in Philipsburg: the island's main tax free shopping haven. On the Philipsburg Boardwalk you'll find many nice places for lunch or dinner, including the newly opened Fusion restaurant and the stylish Ocean Lounge. DineSXM has an extensive listing of St. Maarten and St. Martin restaurants and lets you make table reservations ahead of time.
Maho Beach, where the larger of the two Sonesta properties is located, really has it all. The area's main entertainment and shopping district is right outside the hotel. The beach and golf course are only a short walking distance away.
