This beautiful Venice wedding album was created by Yervant Photography in Australia. It features both black and white and color photos of the couple in Venice and is a good reminder of just why this romantic city makes such as spectacular backdrop for destination weddings.
This beach wedding in Maui, Hawaii features the wedding of Kevin and Niccole. Created by Marbelle.com, this is a good example of a wedding video featuring casual beach shots and sunset shots.
This beautiful slideshow features a wedding shot by Honolulu photographer Susanne Pridoehl (www.leilaniphoto.com). We like it for the combination of black and white and color photos and the panning technique which really makes this slideshow come alive.
During those happy days of reading Tiger Beat and 16 magazines in the late '70s and early '80's, a plethora of pre-teens dreamed that one day they would be Mrs. Scott Baio. On December 8, 2007, Renee Sloan was the lucky bride who said "I do' to the former idol during a rooftop ceremony in Los Angeles.
From the moment they tied the knot to the garter toss at the reception, fans who grew up watching "Chachi Arcola" were invited to witness the happiest day in the TV star's life during the season finale of VH1's Scott Baio is 46...and Pregnant.
During cycle one of America's Next Top Model, Adrianne Curry posed for the camera in a number of couture creations. On her wedding day, the reality TV star was a vision in an Alvina Valenta creation. From her bouquet of red roses to her platinum and diamond wedding band from Whiteflash.com, relive Adrianne Curry and Christopher Knight's candlelit ceremony and take a peek at their reception at the Rialto Square Theatre.
The name Ritz is synonymous with luxury so the Ritz Hotel London was a natural subject for this video by InsideLuxuryTravel.com. You'll have a look inside this romantic hotel that dates back to 1906 including its Royal Suite. If the Royal Suite might not be within your travel budget, you'll learn more about tea at the Ritz (and learn that you'll need to make your reservations four weeks in advance of your trip!)
Peter Greenberg Explores Spring Break Alternatives
This video by travel guru Peter Greenberg (travel editor for the Today Show) explores alternative spring break destinations...locations that you'll find to be good travel options any time of the year actually. This video highlights Cancun, Atlantis resort in the Bahamas, and Vieques, a small island off Puerto Rico.
This official resort video gives you a good look at Sunset Jamaica Grande in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. We've stayed at this high-rise resort several times (even before it was a Sunset Resort) and have always enjoyed our stay. Although it's not an intimate, romantic inn, the resort has a lot for couples to enjoy from a huge pool complex to a new spa and many dining options. We've stayed under the all-inclusive plan (which we highly recommend).
If you'd like to do some sightseeing in the Ocho Rios area, the hotel is a short ride from attractions like Dunn's River Falls, Island Village, and Coyaba Gardens.
If you've ever been curious about an Elvis wedding, here's a video of a real Las Vegas wedding at the Doo Wop Diner located at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. We've toured this facility and even been serenaded by this "Elvis" who does a great job. This interview with the couple, Mike and Dina, is well done and shows the fun side of a Vegas wedding.
Photographer Rebecca Bouck gives tips for good wedding photos in this video by Get Married on Lifetime TV. We found some really good tips that are applicable to destination weddings here such as making sure the wedding is far enough in advance of sunset that you'll be able to get group shots in the sunset light after the ceremony's over.
Also, Bouck suggests letting your photographer know about non-traditional family arrangements ahead of time, whether that means divorced parents, deceased parents, non-present parents, etc. This is really critical with a destination wedding photographer because often you'll meet the photographer just before the ceremony. We suggest presenting the photographer with a list of "must have" shots...make their job easier and make sure you'll get the photos you want!
David Tutera Offers Wedding Design Tips for Your Table
Celebrity wedding designer David Tutera provides tips for designing your wedding in this video by Lifetime TV's Get Married. This video features very popular chocolate toned designs with tips on table arrangements for your reception, ones that we think will translate well for destination weddings as well (or for a welcome home party after the two of you return!)
This real wedding video by www.vegasweddingvideography.com was shot at a Malibu, California wedding. A few touches that we especially liked for destination wedding brides in search of some ideas for their videographer:
• the flower logo in the bottom right corner of the video (it really gave a tropical touch to the video even though most is shot indoors) • the incorporation of the entire event--from preparation for the wedding all the way through the reception into the event • personally, we'd have liked to have seen more of the ceremony and more shots of the guests in the video but that's a decision you and your groom will have to make. Most importantly: be sure to make that decision before the wedding and let your videographer know how you feel. Do you want the ceremony included? (And you may have to talk with the officiant to see if filming will be permitted during the ceremony.) Do you want guests to play a prominent role in the video? Are there some guests you want to make sure will be in the video? Let your videographer know!
In January, we spent four nights at Atlantis, Paradise Island, just across the bridge from Nassau. We'd visited this expansive resort two other times but it had enlarged again since our last visit, adding both The Cove (great for couples) and The Reefs (family-friendly). Here's a slideshow of some of our shots of the property.
Welcome to the new video channel of Lovetripper.com! Here we'll be featuring our own videos and video slide shows as well videos featuring romantic resorts, destination wedding sites, and real destination weddings around the world.
