Area 51 and the Extraterrestrial Highway

The "Extraterrestrial Highway," located just outside Las Vegas, is the stuff of the X-Files and a must-see for couples with a love for all things sci-fi.

Yes, Extraterrestrial Highway is the official name of this stretch of US375. Running for almost 100 miles, this corridor runs between Hiko and Warm Springs; to reach it from Las Vegas take I-15 north to US 93 North. At Nevada 375, turn west.

The reason for the alien moniker is that this highway passes what is often called “Area 51,” the unofficial area where the public believes military aircraft testing has been conducted – or is that an alien spaceship?

How do you know you’re on the ET Highway? Just look for the green road signs, of course.
