Ulusaba Private
Game Reserve
Owner:
Richard Branson
Where: South
Africa
Why Go Here:
Ulusaba Private Game Reserve is Richard Branson's über-stylish
safari lodge located in South Africa in the Western sector of
the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve on the edge of the Kruger
National Park, which can also be hired exclusively - ideal for
weddings and celebrations.
Ulusaba, meaning 'Place of Little Fear' strikes the perfect
balance between nature and nurture - as well as being an excellent
place to observe the 'Big Five' - buffalo, rhinoceros, elephant,
lion and leopard it is also an ideal place to kick back and
unwind.
Regarded as one of the top five game reserves in South Africa,
guests can share their time between the two lodges - Rock
Lodge and Safari Lodge. Rock Lodge is perched high
on the summit of a koppie and provides panoramic views over
miles of bush, the wildlife roaming within and the beauty of
the lowveld below, all set against a backdrop of the Drakensberg
Mountain range far in the distance. Each room has been designed
with the colours of a different African tribe. Safari Lodge
is built along the banks of the dry Mabrak riverbed. The rooms
are built tree-house style and each room has its own private
deck accessed by rope bridge.
Pampering Extras: Ulusaba has re-defined the rules of
a safari lodge and taken a step away from the traditional colonial
style by offering a beautiful spa - Aroma Boma with panoramic
views and a tennis court.
Eat what, when and where you want. Dinner can be enjoyed by
starlight, firelight or by candlelight. Guests can also experience
the bold colours and flavours of a traditional African braai.

Lodge but must be 12 or above to stay at the Safari Lodge. A
kid's club is provided as 'cubs' under six are not permitted
on game viewing activities therefore the lodge offers an educational
children's programme to keep them occupied.
