Canada Rail Trips

By Rail, By Day, Into the Canadian Rockies (Rocky Mountaineer) Like any comfortable adventure, the rail tour into the Canadian Rockies begins gently, providing plenty of time to get in the perfect mood. Vancouver's Pacific Central Station offers just the right amount of nostalgia as the "al-l-ll aboard!" echoes through the cavernous waiting room.

Riding the Rails of Western Canada (VIA, Rocky Mountaineer, BCRail) For this excursion, we would be traveling across Canada by rail, from Winnipeg to Jasper to Vancouver. It was a journey that had taken pioneers months but one that we would enjoy in ten days with time to explore small towns, national parks, and cultural cities, and, best of all, just to sit back and enjoy the Canadian countryside while someone else took over the driving.

Asia Rail Travel

Eastern and Oriental Express by Rowena Carr-Allinson The Orient Express dates back to October 1883. By the 1920's the train was running from Paris to Istanbul via Venice, through the Simplon Tunnel. Those were the train's glory days. Decadence was the “mot du jour”. Royalty and celebrities alike travelled in pure luxury and opulence throughout Europe. And for us mere mortals, it was the latest chic in honeymoons. And it still is.
