When you choose A Romantic Appalachain Mountain Getaway in Butler, TN, you have a choice of three distinct facilities: the Iron Mountain Inn Bed and Breakfast set atop the mountain on 140 acres with the Cherokee National Forest behind; the secluded Creekside Chalet with hot tub under the stars and only the birds to interrupt your secluded getaway or the Lakeside Cottage as close to Watauga Lake as the TVA allows.
The Inn offers “pampering perfected” with breakfast in bed, dinner by candlelight in your room (Equestrian Room only), private whirlpool baths, steam showers and private balconies overlooking the mountains and the gardens.
The Creekside Chalet with a hot tub under the stars is warm and cozy any season of the year, but especially when the snow falls and the world is quiet all around. The singing stream will sing you to sleep after a day of relaxing with a romantic movie, good book or perhaps you’ll enjoy taking a walk by the light of the full moon!
Lakeside Cottage’s Blue Bedroom has a 2 person whirlpool, aromatherapy steam shower, private balcony overlooking the lake and the mountains beyond, fireplace and is set up for housekeeping.

Choose “Pampering Perfected” in the Family Memories Room with private balcony overlooking the gardens and the mountains, private whirlpool with bubbles and aromatherapy crystals, and a separate steam shower large enough for two.
Or, in colder months, the Equestrian Room with only firelight and candlelight lighting the room is the prefect hideaway.

Wedding Facilities:
Exchange your vows under the flower arbor, with the October autumn display as a background, on the Bride’s Bridge over the stream, at sunrise, by the light of the full moon, as the waters of Watauga Lake lap at your feet, on a romantic pontoon boat at sunset in the middle of the lake, or someplace on the properties of your choosing.
We have a non-denominational minister on site and can provide a wedding from a quick, “do you, I do” with cake and champagne to a formal sit down dinner for up to 60 guests including the bride and groom.
Or design your own ceremony and make it your very special day. Whether it is a wedding ceremony for the couple who have been married previously to others, but who have now found the right one to share their life, a commitment ceremony to each other, but not necessarily to the public, to the couple who would like to renew their original marriage vows, or for the couple who are marrying for the first time we work with each couple to make this special day memorable.

Three days/two nights in a whirlpool room with private balcony overlooking the mountains and the gardens, wedding cake, wedding supper, champagne, minister to perform the ceremony, cd, two breakfasts, bottomless cookie jar, special wedding gift. All for only $725.00 plus tax.
