Most guests who fly into North Carolina for a visit to our Crystal Coast fly into Raleigh/Durham which is a 2 1/2 hour drive from the inn.

The Harborlight Guest House, located on the central NC coast, is a secluded waterfront inn that was recently named one of the top undiscovered inns in America! This inn is unique in the fact that all suites feature two-person jacuzzis and/or fireplaces, stunning waterviews from all suites, and a gourmet breakfast is served in-suite or deckside daily. Suites are spacious and offer the added amenities of coffee/tea service, in-room refrigerators, and TV/VCR with an extensive video library for guest use.
Breakfast is a high point of the stay at the Harborlight! Breakfast entrees may be Three Cheese Stuffed French Toast topped with Gingered Peaches, or a Filet accompanied with Cheesy Eggs and Asparagus, or Eggs Florentine. All entrees are preceded by appetizers and fresh fruits.
Favorite guest activities include barrier island excursions to islands, only accessible by boat, that offer pristine beaches with excellent shelling and privacy; horseback riding on the beach; and exploring the waterfront villages of Beaufort and Swansboro. The central NC coast offers a variety of back-to-nature-oriented activites that include sunset sails on the ocean and sails to our lighthouse on Cape Lookout. Innkeepers, Bobby and Anita Gill, will acclimate you, on arrival, to all of the great things to do on this beautiful coast.

Many proposals have been made at the Harborlight and a private wedding at sunset on the grounds of the Harborlight evokes the feel of being on a secluded island to add to the romance of such a special event.

Most Romantic Room:
The Penthouse, an 840 sq. ft. suite, offers waterviews on 3 sides which includes waterfront sunrises, sunsets, and views of the Intracoastal Waterway. A 500 sq. ft. deck is panoramic with waterviews and totally private for intimate breakfast and sunbathing.
The suite features jacuzzi, two-person shower, fireplace and a breakfast room with panoramic waterviews.

Wedding Facilities:
Small weddings are performed at the inn on the waterfront. Hosts, Anita and Bobby Gill will assist in making all arrangements.
