Canyon Lake Ranch is halfway between San Antonio and Austin, Texas at Canyon Lake. It is about 45 min. drive downtown in either city. Either IH35 or 281 will bring you to FM 306. Go WEST from 35 about 24 miles or go EAST from 281 for about 9 miles to 306. We are located (1/2 mile north of FM 306 or 1 1/2 miles south of FM 32. at 1610 FM 484. Description:
“Relaxing, quiet and just perfect” are a few of the words our guests have used to describe their stays at the guesthouse of Canyon Lake Ranch. In addition wedding (up to 125), small meeting and family reunions are welcome.
The two separate vacation homes at Canyon Lake Ranch provide privacy in luxurious lodging on a Texas Hill Country Longhorn Ranch estate. Both totally private vacation retreats have satellite TV/VCRs, private hot tubs, BBQs, guest robes and large hot tub towels. Each stay at the ranch includes a complimentary carafe of wine, a fresh fruit basket, great cookies and bedside chocolates. A basket of Bath and BodyWorks amenities completes the luxury. Great fun is feeding tame Longhorns over the fence, listening for turkeys, watching the hawks soar or just counting stars that fill the hill country sky at night.
STARVIEW LODGE: sleeps 6 comfortably. The Starview Lodge has exclusive use of its private swimming pool and hot tub. It has two bedrooms, the Sunflower & Bluebonnet Rooms. Each includes lovely antique furniture, a comfortable queen sized bed and a restroom with private sink and toilet. In addition to the shower, the master bathroom holds a large sauna. A huge greatroom with fireplace, kitchen and eating area complete this private vacation retreat. .
LONGHORN LODGE: sleeps 8 and welcomes pets. Secluded under a bank of Oak Trees and “away from it all” Longhorn Lodge also has its own private hot tub. In addition to two master bedrooms (each with private bath and located at opposite ends of the house), a living room, complete kitchen, eating area, and study (which can be used as an additional sleeping area), there are two raised porches: one for sunrise, the other for sunset. Parquet floors, antiques, collectibles and barn wood furniture are completed with contemporary amenities. An attached carport keeps your car shaded and cool.
Located about 4 miles from the marina at Canyon Lake gives you many activity choices ranging from sailing to jet skis and pontoons to sampling Margaritas at the waterfront restaurant, Poppa Docks. Tubing the rivers, kayaking, fishing or walking the 5k. Canyon Dam walk are easily accessible. Horseback riding and miniature golf are also available nearby.
Shopping is incredible with the Hill Country towns of Wimberley, Gruene and Blanco within a 15 or 20-minute drive. Some guests even explore the outlet malls at New Braunfels and San Marcos.
Venture a bit further and you can do the LBJ tours and movies in Johnson City, tour the famed Natural Bridge Caverns or spend an exciting day at the #1 water park in the US, Schlitterbahn (about a 20-minute ride from the ranch).
San Antonio’s famed Riverwalk and Austin’s fabulous capitol and University of Texas are both within about a 45-minute drive. A day of doing the big city (including Fiesta Texas and Seaworld) are also possible.
Weddings at the Ranch are becoming a tradition. Family reunions and small corporate retreats are also a natural at Canyon Lake Ranch.

Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine at sunset as you relax in your own secluded hot tub with tree framed views of the hills, and the great Texas sky. Cuddle with a great movie on satellite TV or from our VCR library while you feed each other popcorn, crunch on fresh fruit or sip the hot chocolate or cider we include with your stay.
Wedding Facilities:
The ranch is a lovely spot for intimate weddings (under 75 guests). Be married under the 200-year-old family Oak, on a scenic Austin Stone rock outcropping or more formally, at the swimming pool fountain.
The Pool House can be set up for buffets as can the roofed terrance at the swimming pool.
