The setting of the Resort is spectacular - tucked amongst 56 acres of coconut groves; lush tropical rainforest and a golden sandy beach simply inviting you to relax and fill your soul with the spirit of an unspoiled live style. Maravu has only 12 elegant Bures (Villas) to ensure space, freedom and privacy. They all are situated to face the tropical sunset, to be enjoyed from your large veranda.
The staff will meet you at Taveuni airport just after your 60-minute flight from Nadi, and only 5 minutes later the Maravu magic begins. You will be welcomed with a complimentary fresh iced coconut drink, beautifully decorated with tropical flowers.
Maravu`s main building with its own walls and a thatched roof is decorated with Fijian art like carved bowls, masks, pottery, driftwood and painted Tappa pictures. Our library offers a good selection of books about the Fijian culture, tropical flowers and Taveuni`s bird and sea life.
Maravu`s staff of 35 will know you by name and guide you into any activities on the Resort like horseback riding, mountain biking or kayaking. You can experience how the warmth of the sun matches the smiles of our staff and crystalline waters caress all cares away. Our activity manager offers professional guided tours around the island.

The ceremony can be held on the beach, in the gardens, by the pool or at the sunset viewing area with panoramic views of the ocean and outer islands. Maravu caters for a traditional Fijian wedding with full Fijian costume and Fijian magiti (feast) or a traditional European wedding with a simple or full mass. And if you like your ceremony takes place in the jungle beside a tropical waterfall or in an exotic village.
Since summer 2002 Maravu offers some of the most exotic wedding packages in the South Pacific. From a more simple Maravu Package over a Jungle or Village Package to a Deluxe Package, with all included what you dream about being a tropical and exotic wedding. The non-plus-ultra is Maravu's Grand Fijian Deluxe Package, probably the most luxurious, but for sure the most exotic wedding package you can imagine.
