ST. MARTIN: JUST THE FACTS Getting Around: Taxis are the common mode of transportation, albeit an expensive one. A ride from the Philipsburg courthouse taxi stand to Mullet Bay runs $12 US, across the island from Mullet to Dawn Beach runs $26. Entry Requirements: US citizens need a current passport, an expired one less than five years old or other proof of citizenship (a birth certificate with raised seal or a notarized copy, or a voter registration card along with driver's license) and a return or onward ticket. Immigration is in the airport only; there is no border check between the French and Dutch sides. Canadian citizens need to present a valid passport as well as a return or onward ticket.
