BVI FESTIVALS

Not surprisingly, many BVI special events are boat races. One of the biggest is the BVI Spring Regatta in early April. Sailors from around the globe come to compete in this yachting event.

In late June, windsurfers take the stage at Hook-in-Hold-On (HIHO), that's billed as the world's greatest windsurfing adventure.

For fun out of the water, drop by the BVI Summer Festival, held in late July and early August. We were lucky enough to be in Tortola during this special event held in Road Town. We danced in the moonlight to steel pan bands and watched locals betting on a game of chance we never could understand. With all the atmosphere of a small town festival, this event is popular with locals and visitors alike and shouldn't be missed.
