Chuck: Awesome and Ellie's Wedding #1 in Romance Hall of Fame TV Weddings Category

During the past two seasons, mild-mannered Nerd Herder Chuck Bartowski has gone from tackling computer viruses to villains, but when it came time for his sister's wedding vows Buy More's brightest almost met his match. While he was unable to keep the bad guys at bay for the original ceremony, Chuck found a way to turn the disaster into a heart-tugging "I do" for Ellie Bartowski and Devon "Awesome" Woodcomb that may not have left fans of the spy series shaken, but most definitely stirred.

The showing of love not only between Ellie and Awesome, but also between Chuck and Ellie by giving up his government paycheck to pay for their wedding is one of the truest definitions of love.-- Patrick

It wasn't overdone, the wedding was the focus without being cheesy, and there was a performance by Jeffster!-- Chris

Filled with comedy, romance, true love, despair, and action! I mean come on!!! It truly appeals to everyone since it has so many facets. "Jeffster" alone was awesome...and then the beautiful beach scene!!! WOW-- Nick

The comedy was awesome, and besides, you actually got 2 weddings. Chuck is a very original and entertaining show, and the wedding was perfect in the plot for the season finale! Best wedding and the best show!-- Dave

First of all, not many characters get to have TWO awesome weddings, even if they will never know how truly epic the first was. The battle behind the scenes could not have had better background music than the sweet serenade of JEFFSTER! Not only that, but even after the first was ruined, Ellie gets her dream wedding on the beach, too! Captain awesome would certainly approve.-- Zachary

A behind the scenes look at the making of the wedding episode:

Jeffster's Domo Arigato:

This wedding was awesome because the first wedding was a bust because of all the spy action that totally trashed the whole thing, but the make up wedding on the beach that evening was beautiful, romantic, and perfect. I almost cried!-- Robert

The song Christmas TV was great and the wedding was in a great location and the Marines preparing a wedding isn't something you see everyday...the beach was so pretty...and the mix of a bit of violence is kinda good in a weird way (when the
agent killed the 3 marines and the fulcrum guy)-- Diovi

Because with everything thing that went wrong (bad guys destroying everything)with the big wedding. Ellie finally got her dream wedding. A simple one on the beach with close family and friends thanks to her brother, the CIA & the NSA.-- Traci

Beautifully done after the initial disaster.-- Jamey

Some would say for the action... I would say for the emotional connection between the bride and her brother. They're familial chemistry is unmatched on television.-- Ed

Because it shows that it doesn't always have to be big to be perfect.-- Jakob

Ellie and Devon finally got married !! AND Chuck, Sarah, Casey, Daddy, etc, kicked SERIOUS BUTT !! And nothing can ever beat Chuck<3-- Natalie

Who wouldn't want a nice beach wedding after the day they had?-- Phillip

Are you kidding? Did you see the episode?! The wedding setting made for by far the best episode of Chuck in its two seasons of existence. I haven't seen all of the other options on this list, but I think this wedding had to win, hands-down, in uniqueness.-- Brendan

It was great because even thought the first wedding in the episode was ruined, the second ceremony that Chuck gave his sister was exactly what she wanted...the wedding of her dreams.-- Jarrod

It was full of heartbreak and love. The action and comedy of the Mr. Roboto montage during wedding 1 was genius and the simplicity and genuine love that surrounded the beach wedding was beautiful and a great treat to watch.-- Nikky

It was Awesome !!! Because Jeffster played some tunes to stall the wedding and because it was also completely ruined by the NSA dudes !-- Hyacinthe

It was funny and romantic and was absolutely beautiful.-- Sam

Chuck Publicity StillSee More Chuck Publicity Still at IGN.com

The first wedding was just a beautiful traditional attempt in a grand church with ice sculptures and formal dress. I am glad though that Fulcrum ruined it and Chuck gave his sister truly what she had dreamed of though with the beach ceremony. Just an absolutely gorgeous setup with the waves crashing in the background against magnificent boulders. The sun waning in the background painting a picture perfect painting in the sky as it set. Just a touching moment with an "Awesome" couple
having their dream come to fruition with their dearest friends and loved ones in attendance. I hope my wedding to be as beautiful and heartfelt as theirs!-- Michael

Mr. Roboto song in the back special forces team saving Chuck, Sarah and Bryce in the end JEFFSTER!-- Jessie

Because everything that possibly could have gone wrong did, like Jeffster trying to stall? But in the end Chuck comes through and saves the day by paying for Ellie and Awesome real wedding. Besides its the wedding Ellie has always wanted even though
she didn't know that's how she was going to get there.-- Ashlei

Jeffster's off-key '80's tunes, romantic tension between Chuck/Sarah, evil spies and a special forces team coming through the ceiling--all packed into a five-minute bit. Need I say more?-- David

It had the most heart in a wedding scene I have ever seen! They seemed so genuine. The right song, the right emotion! Not to mention everyone looked AMAZING!-- Scott

It was interrupted by bad guys trying to take over the world, a performance of Jeffster!, and then re-done beautifully on the beach.-- Bethany

This wedding had action, comedy, and drama.-- Sean

It wasn't the TYPICAL wedding !!!! it was full of action and heroism , and it was what Ellie REALLY wanted, so it shows you can actually want in the end.-- Moira

Because we got two weddings for the price of one, and you can't beat a reception hall gunfight set to the pre-wedding entertainment of a cover of Mr. Roboto!-- Donn

Even if the original wedding plans didn't push through, Chuck spent his hard earned money just to have a wedding for his sister. And that wins my heart!-- Rhea

Because we got to see two polar extreme weddings. One that did not go well at all yet left the audience cheering and satisfied, and one that was beautiful and incredible and left the audience cheering and satisfied. This show never disappoints its fans and VS. the Ring was absolutely no exception.-- Travis

Chuck Publicity StillSee More Chuck Publicity Still at IGN.com

It wasn't one great wedding - it was TWO great weddings! The first one was disrupted in a truly hysterical way. I mean, who wouldn't want a couple of nerds who work with their brother to perform "Mr. Roboto" at their wedding and then set off all the fire sprinklers in the church? The second wedding was gorgeous, and was all the more moving because of all the effort and money Chuck, Sarah, and Casey put into making sure it was everything Ellie wanted. It was also special because during the wedding there was a great progression in Chuck and Sarah's relationship, when she told Bryce she wanted to stay with Chuck.-- Grace

First of all, Ellie and Awesome had two weddings and both of them were great. The first one was pure action and chaos while the second was romantic and classic.-- Melanie

Hello?!? massive SILENCED fire fight in the room next to the wedding with the soundtrack of "Mr Roboto"! mixed with the "feel good" factor on the beach when you KNOW Sarah is staying with Chuck.-- Pete

They're a beautiful couple and a great minor distraction from the heavy action happening to the main character (Chuck) throughout the course of the show. "Both" of their weddings were absolutely gorgeous and it was really great to see all the spy action going on in the background without anyone really noticing it. They deserve to win for pulling through with the "I dos" amidst the chaos.-- Kacey

Because it first started off to be a wedding just to make the family happy but with all the things that went wrong that day, at the end the couple was able to have their dream wedding. Also, another character was able to reveal that she would choose a life with person she loves instead of a career shes good at. Plus, the music, action, disaster and the beautiful sunset wedding was well done.-- Edna

The wedding itself did not contain all the action. The main reason I vote is for the events happening before and during the wedding: the activation of the fire alarm, the performing of the band, the shooting and so on; leading to a more discreet and special wedding.-- Juan

The setting was amazing... On a beach at sunset has been done so many times but the way they pulled this off I want my wedding to be just like this! The colors they used were beautifully unique and the way the writers had the good and the bad going on at the same time changing Chucks whole world, it left me wanting so much more! Hands down the best t.v. wedding ever.-- Hannah

The "originally planned" wedding had to be saved by special forces troops. Any wedding that ends in a shootout HAS to be good. After Chuck firmly realizes he ruined his sister's wedding day, he gives her the wedding of her dreams: a sandy beach, all of her family, and NO Fulcrum attacks.-- Erik

Because it was Capt. Awesome's Wedding! And 2 weddings at that.-- Jill

The beach wedding was beautiful and the most romantic wedding I've ever seen on television. It was even romantic for characters that were not getting married. It was just absolutely beautiful. :)-- Erin

This wedding was amazing because it was not just one, but two...and the first one involved pyrotechnics and spies using wedding gifts as weapons. Definitely not
typical!-- Sarah

It was the climax of the last 5 episodes of Chuck. Then it looked like there wasn't going to be a wedding until Chuck saved the day.-- Bobby

Their wedding was awesome.-- Traci

Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman: Michaela and Sully's Wedding #2 in Romance Hall of Fame TV Weddings Category

Beyond the joining of two hearts, the wedding of Dr. Michaela Quinn and Byron Sully marked a passing of the torch between the traditions of the past and a progressive future which was fast approaching.

While offering a nostalgic nod to age old conventions by carrying her forebearer's lace handkerchief as her "something old," Michaela's walk down the aisle with her mother was as unique for its time as the union into which she entered, and as the wheels of the horse drawn carriage which leisurely escorted the newlyweds from their wedding site conceded to the locomotive rails which whisked the pair off on their honeymoon, the steam engine's whistle seemed to be saying farewell to an era which would soon be only a sweet, sepia-toned memory.

Lovetripper Reader Recommendations

I will shout it to the heavens... Sully and Michaela's wedding on DQMW is still my most favorite wedding, ever! I loved the feel of magic in the air. No two other characters have shown so much love for each other. Their romance is what drew me to the show when it first aired. The chemistry between the actors Joe Lando and Jane Seymour was undeniable. This particular episode started off with real bride/groom situations that come up, as well as some unique situations that only Sully and Michaela would be in. The groom was so handsome in his wedding attire as was the bride in her gorgeous dress and veil. The feel of support from each town member and family members was felt right through the tv screen. I grinned ear to ear just like Brian did. I sighed just like Mrs. Quinn did. It was a moving ceremony. But it did not end there. The reception was funny and moving at the same time. And the final moments on the train car were quite steamy and again I sighed. Just beautiful.-- Penni

It represented the culmination of everything the couple had endured in almost four years they knew each other. Despite pressure from friends and loved ones to alter their plans, they settled back on what they wanted and found a nice compromise to blend their individual desires. It also demonstrated how deep love is to bring a loner man back from grieving the loss of his first wife and a lonely woman who had found acceptance and purpose in her love for her soon-to-be husband.

This couple had sparks flying on the screen and the looks they shared could melt the TV set. They knocked heads on various issues, as do all couples, but the important thing is they agreed on what was important and managed to always find a compromise that showcased the depth of their love.

In today's society when love is treated so carelessly, or sex is used as bribe for love, this couple's purity is a refreshing reminder that love is about far more than sex and the physical. They gave me hope and inspiration, and when I finally met my soul mate, their example is helping me treasure this relationship.-- Tiffany

Michaela and Sully from "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" are one of my favorite TV couples of all time. Jane Seymour and Joe Lando had the kind of on-screen chemistry that comes along only once in a very blue moon. They were magic together on screen as Sully and Michaela. Their wedding was the culmination of an epic romance. Plus, the wedding itself, the wardrobe, hair, makeup, set design, etc. were a visual feast! Michaela was just radiant in her wedding gown, and Sully was drop-dead
handsome as usual. Everything was just gorgeous from top to bottom!-- Mia

I knew they were meant to be together because of the way they acted in the first episode the way they looked at each other. I knew one day they would get married and I am so glad that I was right. They make a wonderful couple and the wedding was
gorgeous.-- Jessica

I choose Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman: Sully and Michaela because you don't find love today like they found it. You watched their love grow from the very first episode to the end of the season. You got to see the love they brought into each other's lives and the feelings it gave them. You saw them through the best of time and the worst of time, you saw them fight feelings for another and yet, the love they share is unlike any other and that's why Sully and Michaela caught the world by storm.-- Kayla

We waited so long! Everything was perfect and you gotta love the attire!-- Lauren

I loved Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and Sully & Michaela had a wonderful relationship that led into marriage. Their relationship was pure and romantic. You do not see much of that any more.-- Evelyn

Because of the unique chemistry between Joe Lando and Jane Seymour on the DQMW set, during not only this wedding episode but also throughout all the series, before and after their union. All DQ fans know they had an "affair" very early during the shooting (Pilot etc.) and this does show on the screen. Besides, Michaela's dress is absolutely gorgeous. In the episode, she actually designs the dress herself, because she doesn't want to hurt neither her mother, nor her local friends, who have both paid a lot (her mum) or worked very hard (the locals) so Michaela decides to keep both by using 1 half of each. The final result is simply the best wedding dress ever made: very "sexy" on top, and very "classical" on the lower half, with many yards of train. Surely a gown all girls would dream to wear on their wedding day!-- Sylvie

This wedding had everything: elegance, beauty, handsome men, family, family not getting along, friends, tradition, but also new ideas. It was an awesome TV wedding.-- Jeri

Beautiful outdoor setting, beautiful gown, beautiful couple; very romantic.-- Ann

Because, as a fan, you've waited like ages to see and hear those two to finally say 'I do'. They had so many troubles to face before they were able to admit their feelings and take this final step that you always feared that it was never going to happen. But it did and how it did! It was the kind of wedding every girl dreams of. The perfect dress, all friends and family together, the handsome groom and the big big love. When they exchanged rings and said their vows it was so real and romantic! Just perfect in any possible way! This wedding spoiled me for a lifetime because when I am ever going to marry, want it to be have a wedding just like the one Michaela and Sully had.-- Katja

It was a classic wedding with all the beautiful details. Jane Seymour and Joe Lando have the best chemistry. And beyond that Jane was stunning...-- Jesse

Because there was all love from the TV and from the people in this wedding. Till today it is (was) a great show and couple. I love that wedding dress.-- Mieke

It was the most exciting and romantic wedding I've seen on TV.-- Janet

Sully and Michaela's wedding was the greatest for so many reasons. This show included so many aspects of family togetherness and history. Sully and Michaela had been through so much together and so much before they knew each other. Each moment in their lives lead them to each other. Both had lost love before and never thought they'd love again. In a way, neither had a desire to love again. Yet, from the moment they saw each other, their was such a strong passion between them. You could see the fire in their eyes. You could see the desire they had for one another. Yet, they were respectful of each other. They developed such a beautiful friendship that blossomed into romance. They were able to be there for each other in so many ways. They had a relationship that truly had every aspect to it: friendship, drive, determination, truth, passion and fulfilling love. They are beautiful in my eyes and always will be the greatest TV couple.-- Marita

Because everything about it was perfect - beginning with the weather and the clothes up to the mood. For once all town stood together to celebrate this one wedding - and Michaela and Sully were just the perfect couple.-- Marion

It was a beautiful outdoor wedding, filmed at Paramount Ranch in Agoura, the character's whole community was involved, there was an element of danger as the best man, a Cheyenne, was wanted and had to be secretly whisked in, Michaela's mother gave her away, the costuming was fabulous, and the rail car scene at the end was so tastefully erotic yet subtle (like showing the lamps rocking back and forth after Sully undresses Michaela) that I was surprised CBS didn't censor it!-- Linda

It was a great moment for the show, and fans alike who finally got to see Dr. Quinn finally marry her soulmate. It was the start of another 3 great season's before it was axed and took the show in a new direction.-- Erin

It was a beautiful wedding of two beautiful characters, and the 3-year build-up to it just made it one that you didn't want to miss. I re-watch it again every few months, and it never gets old!-- Elaine

This wedding took place at the end of the third season after 3 years of sexual tension between these two characters. Without a wedding they would have never been able to explore the physical side of love. the fans were chomping at the bit for them to get together. The wedding itself was beautiful. The bride and groom, both good looking on their own were clad it the most gorgeous dress and Indian shirt. I enjoy watching it over and over because there is so much detail in it involving all the characters of the show.-- Lynn

So romantic, and with all the problems a future bride can have just before the wedding including her mother's ideas. LOL-- Cecile

This wedding was an amazing event! Sully's buckskin wedding shirt mixed with Michaela's gorgeous, flowing gown. And the train scene at the end...WOW! Pretty steamy for a CBS show in the 1990's! It is definitely an episode that I will always remember!-- Marisa

Two people as different as can be on the outside find deep love and respect as soul mates, true friends and lovers!-- Doreen

I think this was the best and most realistic wedding I've ever seen on screen, probably due to the incredible chemistry between Jane Seymour and Joe Lando and maybe also to the fact that they were dating for a while some years ago. In fact there were fans who attended it as a real wedding and it was filmed more or less in real time. We are part of the wedding as if we had been invited to it. The conclusion of the wedding is the beginning of the wedding night, a very special moment for any fan of the series as Michaela and Sully are supposed to consummated their love for the first time on a train continuing a metaphor that has been built throughout the three first seasons. After that wedding, differently to many other series, their magic isn't extinguished, their relationship is as thrilling as always.-- Gemma

Cause they FINALLY were together!!!!-- Letara

After two years of courtship between Sully and Michaela, their wedding was a monumental moment that thoroughly displayed their admiration, affection and love one another properly and efficiently.-- Lindsey

Why do I love Michaela and Sully's wedding so much? Well, it had EVERYTHING - a wounded fiance who gets held captive and almost misses the ceremony, a wedding dress gone wrong, a mother trying to run the show, a steamy and super romantic love scene on a moving train (it's getting darker!) and OF COURSE, two gorgeous actors, Jane Seymour and Joe Lando!!! Mmmm, yummy Joe!! What more could you want???-- Renea

This was a great wedding because the fans were allowed to experience the entire relationship from the beginning. And to be able to experience all the highs and the lows along with the characters it was great seeing them finally come together as one and begin a new chapter of their lives together.-- Saray

It was such a romantic wedding, especially for the time frame that the series was set in.-- Joan

Despite opposition coming at them from all sides, Michaela and Sully managed to have the wedding they always dreamed of. She was radiant, he was ruggedly handsome and they were true to themselves and what they envisioned for their day. It was also nice to have the whole town involved in the event. The excitement of the day bubbled over from the very beginning of the 2 hour episode. It's a joy to watch over and over again.-- Megan

In my opinion this was the greatest TV romance of all time and the wedding was done perfectly.-- Dana

Watching the romance blossom between Sully and Michaela over 3 seasons was fantastic. You got to cry with them and celebrate their happiness. Being able to see two characters come together that had gone through what they had was amazing. They are my favorite TV couple of all time!-- Tammy

Even without the great costumes the smoldering looks between Mike and Sully are forever etched in my mind! And OH the pulling of the shades...my heart still flutters!-- Kat

It is the only show I have seen where the two people are so in love on the screen ..we were waiting eagerly for their wedding-- Christine

Sully and Michaela are the most romantic and sexy couple. This wedding was so beautiful.-- Fanette

This was a wonderful wedding because it incorporated the aspects of both characters personal beliefs into it. Michaela wore a traditional period gown, while Sully opted to honor his Cheyenne beliefs by wearing a wedding tunic. The love and respect that the two held for each other was evident in the vows they took and the adoring gazes they gave one another.-- Wendy

Michaela and Sully were from different worlds, but shared many of the same values. The whole town helped with the wedding.-- Joanna

It was the long anticipated union of two wonderful people that had come through a lot of difficult situations!!!-- Eirini

The DQ wedding was a culmination of a truly romantic storyline and the wedding episode itself didn't let us down - true romance played out against the beautiful backdrop of 19th century Colorado.-- Pam

Roswell: Max and Liz's Wedding #3 in Romance Hall of Fame TV Weddings Category

One touch of Max Evans' hand was all that it took to restore the life of Crashdown waitress Liz Parker when their destinies collided one fateful September day. Years later the joining of his hand in hers in marriage would heal his own wounded soul, brought on by a lifetime of secrecy. At a tiny roadside chapel a human girl and her intergalactic groom celebrated a love that was not written in the stars, but rather in their hearts.

Lovetripper Reader Recommendations

The things that made this wedding great was the awesome story line behind the characters. For three seasons we watched them struggle as individuals and as a couple overcoming some outrageous obstacles and grow closer and closer. For three seasons we sat glued to the TV anxiously awaiting what would come next, waiting for that final moment when Max and Liz would finally be together. What makes this an AWESOME TV wedding was that it almost wasn't made. By the determination of the fans out there that loved this show, we where able to convince the producers to bring the show back for its final season. The wedding was an accumulation of three seasons worth of expectation that finally met its conclusion in that final scene that I can still see in my head today. It was perfect. Although the show ended way before it should have, here we are ten years after the first episode aired still talking about it, and wishing it was still on air. The show is now and will always be my favorite, as will the charaters of Max and Liz.-- Melanie

Because they had been fighting to be together for so long and they finally got their happy ending. Even if they had to leave their home to get it.-- Elizabeth

After going through trials and tribulations such as: alien destinies, time travel, best friend being murdered, and an alien baby; Max and Liz's love still rose above. If any two people deserved happiness and becoming husband and wife, Max and Liz were it. Just a glimpse of them running out of the Desert Rose Wedding Chapel as husband and wife made my Dreamer heart proud! Happy 7th Anniversary Max and Liz!-- Sonia

NOTHING compares to the deep connection that is shared between Max and Liz. I watched the first 2 minutes of Roswell and was addicted to them right away. I have yet to see or feel anything or anyone that could even come close to Max and Liz and what they shared.-- Robin

The reason this wedding was so great was because Max and Liz were soulmates as Liz's grandma pointed out. They had obstacles but they got over them. They made it out on top of everything that got in their way and I think that takes a lot of love. Also they were hot together. And they brought out the best in each other.-- Tavia

Because they loved each other more than themselves and they went through so much for each other. The wedding itself was so simple that it was absolutely perfect.-- Diana

Because even though they were running from the law... their love grew stronger and stronger. Their love for each other is what made them survive every obstacle put before them. and they took time out of there busy life full of secrets, fear, and
hiding, to get married and commit themselves on not only a spiritual level but a legal level... because if Max goes down for being an alien, Liz is with him all the way. It's because they have unconditional love.-- Jennifer J.

At last! We waited 3 years for this!-- Loretta

It was obvious Liz and Max were meant to be. It wasn't your usual TV wedding, it was a simple and lovely one. For fans of the show, it was a perfect ending and it fit the characters really well.-- Shauna

See flashes of Max and Liz's wedding day in the following clip. More Lovetripper recommendations follow below:

Max and Liz were voted into second place in Lovetripper's most romantic sci-fi couples category. Experience their romance from the beginning.

My choice is Max and Liz from the TV show Roswell. They're simply adorable together and their wedding was so natural and sweet! You care about this lovely young couple who had to face so many trials and you just hope that they will find a place only for them where they can start a family and be safe. In the scene you could breathe their genuine happiness and it's so easy to picture them as happy and passionate newlyweds who couldn't get the most expensive wedding and honeymoon but they really didn't care about it and after all is money really so important for people in love? Maybe their wedding was one of the most simple weddings on TV but it was the most real one.-- Elizabeth C.

Because Max and Liz's love conquered all and they deserved to be together forever. Their wedding was cute, her dress beautiful and not common, and they were happy for real, just being together.-- Gloria

It's the only one that has managed to forge an indelible memory in my chaotic mind.-- Ranjith

Simple. It was Max and Liz. The greatest TV couple and love story ever. That wedding and moment of pure bliss between was a long time coming and I loved it.-- Crystal

Max & Liz was the best sci-fi couple their was and their wedding was a great way to end the show. M.E & L.P were soulmates and they belonged together.-- Rebecca

The love was always there but the struggle it took and the simplicity itself.-- Diane

Max and Liz make their own destiny. No matter what gets in their way they always make it through. They sacrifice their love in order to save the world.-- Salonica

It was just so romantic that after everything they went through, they finally tied the knot.-- Brittany

Perfect! I want a dress like hers! Max and Liz had to face many obstacles in order to be together and their happy end, when it finally happened, was very deserved. It was sweet but not cheesy and sappy like this kind of scenes can be (for obvious reasons). That scene always bring tears to my eyes especially when Liz's voiceover said something like "and burn it (the diary) where my husband was born" such a perfect way to end the series and a journey lasted 3 years where many things changed, some for good, some for bad... but their love remained intense... a constant in the time. Their happy end surely isn't like in fables ... but it was worth it in the end and it gave you a sense of hope, the hope that like for them true love exists and can face anything.-- Jo

Because they've been through so much. Liz was not Max's destiny like Tess but they pulled through all their problems and in the end she was his real destiny.-- Ingrid

'cause this is The Greatest TV-couple, and thats all. = )-- Vyacheslav

They didn't have a big wedding but it had thier friends and that is what matters: being around people that care about them.-- Jeniffer

His touch saved her life; Her wedding saved two worlds. The story still has to be told.-- William

The love between both characters was like no other. Every scene together made time pause. A love one could dream and pray for.-- Charo

I vote for Max and Liz from Roswell because their wedding is simply my favourite of the list. It was so romantic yet intimate and very cute and sweet like no other. I especially love her wedding dress because it wasn't so classic, it was unique but still very simple and lovely. It makes me remember about Flower Children :D That scene is the perfect ending of the series especially because they had to face so many trials before finally getting their, well deserved, happy end. They're an amazing couple.-- Valery

Because of Liz's (Shiri Appleby) the most beautiful cheerful smile, the best ever wedding dress and her hair. Such a beautiful scene, it is just pure love.-- Maciej

I'm one of those people who don't like fictional weddings so much because I think that a wedding is something a bit too serious and "sacred" so in TV shows and movies they, most of the time, seem so fake to me, so damn cheesy. For this reason my favorite wedding is the one between Max and Liz from Roswell. It was the end of the whole show; it was only a scene, the memory written in the same journal that started the series. It was very simple and sweet not to mention that it was an intimate and unconventional wedding yet very sweet, romantic and meaningful. It was unconventional because what they were wearing wasn't so classic like normal weddings (I love her dress. She was beautiful, so free, so simple) but it did fit with their young age and how the most important thing there wasn't "the wedding show" but the simple fact that they loved each and they had won against everything that tried to keep them apart. They were together, they had their real friends with them... they didn't need nothing more than this. It was a sweet happy end that they deserved so much. Surely enough they were on the run so their life wasn't supposed to be simple and without problems... but that end gave you so much hope. It was telling us that no matter what everything is gonna be okay because they are together and happy and in love and this is the most important thing, this is worth all the sacrifices they were making. This is real.

It was the perfect closure of a series that started with them being forbidden and looking at each other with so many hopes and ended with them looking at each other as husband and wife hopeful, happy, peaceful.. putting behind them 3 years full of
obstacles that they had to face but they won against them all even death.

To me their wedding is perfect and it's the best because it summarize what that moment should really be and mean.-- Giusy

Because it was the perfect ending to finally see Max and Liz get to gether. Also it wasn't a traditional wedding as such but Liz looked beautiful in her little white hippy style wedding dress!!!! So Romantic!!-- Janet

Because is it perfect, simple, real... the wedding that I would like one day.-- Elisabetta

Because after all the traumatic and complex issues they went through to be together, it brought back the simplicity of the story; that love wins out in the end. The ceremony, though short, was beautiful and it brought us back to the very core of the show as Liz's voice over told the end of the story as her father reads her journal and she and Max are married. "I guess I should tell you that, Max and I did eventually tie the knot...Give my love to Mom. Let her read this journal, too. Then, give it to Maria's mom. And after that take it and burn it out in the desert by the ruins of the pod chamber, where my husband was born. So that's the end. Our life in Roswell. What a long strange trip it's been. Will we ever go back? I don't know. Even I can't see everything in the future. All I know is that I'm Liz Parker, and I'm happy." Her last words still resonate in my mind and it completely captures on of the best love stories ever told and that was what Max and Liz's wedding symbolized.-- Skyla

Max and Liz wedding may lack all the glitz and glamour we see in TV weddings, but it is evident in this wedding the love of this two for each other. Their wedding is a celebration of their love against all odds. The focus was not on the trimmings, but rather on how this couple loved each other.-- Vicky

Because you could feel the love and finally they were together!-- Nathalie

Who didn't want Max & Liz to get married?!?!? It was the PERFECT way to end the series! Liz looked beautiful in her 60's style dress with flowers in her hair...and it was great that the whole gang was with them as they drove off into the sunset.-- Katherine

They had been in love so long, she was an adorable bride and he was very handsome. It was a simple wedding with just friends. The fans waited for this for three seasons!-- Jane B.

I love it because it was the very end of the whole series. It was satisfying for the fans because of all the things that they had to endure through the series to finally get there and they were so sweet and gorgeous! Cutest couple on television.-- Nicole

Because Max and Liz were the most perfect couple ever.-- Kathy

Simple yet the most satisfying wedding ever.-- Jennifer

Awww after all the heartache they went through they final made it down the aisle.-- Pauping

Because they have no comparisson with any other couple in TV or movies.-- Lorena

This was fantastic, because the love between these two was builing up and being torn apart for the entire three years. Both weddings (the last one and the one that happened in Vegas flashbacks) were unconventional yet still romantic; authentic and not the usul phoney TV weddings that make me cringe. The Vegas flashbacks combined happiness, with the sadnesss of knowing the wedding wasn't real, despite it being the original destiny. The last wedding gave hope, on an intergalactic level,
crossing "multicultural boundaries" tackling the issues yung couples face, and added a twist of Romeo and Juliet (where the love "could never be" or would result in constant dramatic conflict. Such depth makes this overwhelmingly the best wedding(s)
and the most deserving couple to win. Authenticty should always win (NOT typical perfect weddings that are pointless to the storyline and dull scripted as most others are.)-- Ricardo

Max and Liz were the best couple ever and so their wedding was the best as well.-- Miranda

This TV wedding was great not because of the actual wedding scene but because of what Max and Liz had to endure to get to their wedding. Not to say that the wedding scene wasn't great because it was, a small church with the people they love attending but what made it so significant was what Max and Liz had to do to get there.--Estephany

Max and Liz! Through all the ups and downs, their love story was so beautiful and I'm happy that they were together and married in the end. They are probably my favorite romantic couple of all time. They fall in love despite the dangerous circumstances and they married in the end of the show while they were running from the FBI. A simple wedding yet so romantic and sweet. It was a perfect scene and a great ending for the show!-- Jane

Because it was the final episode of Roswell!-- Sandra

Was in a quaint country church and added some closure to the Roswell series.-- Deborah

It was a sweet ending to their love story.-- Carrie

The chemistry.....long awaited.-- Carolyn

It's unusual, the chemistry, super...-- Regina

Max and Liz had a great wedding. There was no fuss, no problems with family, they had their closest friends and they had each other. That's what a wedding should be all about.-- Suzanne

It was the perfect wedding. They deserved their happiness! Just look at their smiles, they only care about being together, it doesn't matter where.-- Anna

Grey's Anatomy: Izzie and Alex's Wedding #4 in Romance Hall of Fame TV Weddings Category

"One crowded hour of glorious life is worth an age without a name." The quote by Sir Walter Scott rings true for Seattle Grace residents Alex Karev and Isobel Stevens, who have both caused each other romantic wounds and have healed each other's heartbreaks over the years, only to find the cure for their loneliness in one another-- even though their remedy may have come too late.

Knowing that no one is guaranteed tomorrow, Alex transformed his love's present into a gift-- surprising her with a wedding she though meant for her friend-- and as Isobel Stevens began her walk down the aisle on the 100th episode of Grey's Anatomy, the candles that illuminated her path also lit the way for the feint possibility of a bright future as she continues to rage against the dying of the light.

"Home...that's the one place that you'll find seventh heaven." The lyrics of the beloved family drama's theme music proved prophetic in the show's 150th episode, as Lucy Camden-- walking on cloud nine as she ventured down the aisle-- said "I do" to the man in whose heart she had made her home, Kevin Kinkirk. Professing their devotion at the pulpit of Reverend Camden's church, there was no greater feeling than the love of family as this TV twosome were pronounced husband and wife.

Although the planets seem to align for those lucky in love, for President of Meade publications Daniel Meade and shy school teacher Molly the universe seemed determined to defy their happily ever after. Gilmore Girls: Lane and Zach #8 in Romance Hall of Fame TV Weddings Category

While providing the back beat for their group Hep Alien, Star Hollows resident, hesitant nonconformist Lane Kim came to realize that guitarist Zach Van Gerbig made her heart skip a beat. The platonic roommates' transformation from band mates to soul mates culminated in a couple of weddings-- a Buddhist ceremony to appease a family member and a traditional stroll down the aisle in which the bride walked the line between conservatism and cutting edge with an updated version of her mother's wedding dress. A rockin' reception complete with the newlyweds' performance of "I'm A Believer" left viewers with a feeling as warm as a cup of coffee from Luke's Diner.

Ghost Whisperer: #10 in Romance Hall of Fame TV Weddings Category

"Til death do us part." Solemnly spoken at most marriage ceremonies, these words hold a different meaning for paranormal communicator Melinda Gordon and her soul mate, who denied death his soul in order to stay with his wife. Slipping out of the mortal bonds of one body and into the shoes of another, even from Jim Clancy's first steps as Sam Lucas his spirit was searching for its way back to its home-- into the arms of the woman he loves.

Awaiting the arrival of their baby as they learn to adapt to Jim's "rebirth," the couple find themselves standing at the crossroads of their lives in the season four finale of Ghost Whisperer. What better place to symbolize the road that they will continue down together than the street where they first met, which served as the site where Melinda and Jim once again pledged their undying love to each other.

As effervescent as the bubbles in a glass of celebratory champagne, this maritally-minded tale of one woman's trail to finding her own happily ever after caught the box office bouquet in 2008, and Lovetripper readers escorted the romantic comedy all the way to the top spot in our Romance Hall of Fame Top 10 countdown of the best wedding movies of all time.

Trivia

Several of the "I do" designs seen in the movie were provided by Amsale, whose lavender bridesmaid's dress, worn by Ellen Pompeo in her role as Meredith Grey, preceded bride Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl) down the aisle during a heart-tugging wedding ceremony on Grey's Anatomy.

A scene form the movie was filmed at The Boathouse Restaurant in Central Park.

I thought 27 Dresses was a remarkable funny comedy! I can see me with 27 different dresses and no more room in my closet for anything else! Actually, this really describes my mother! My mother has taken over every single closet in the house, and it's a big house. She hasn't left room for anyone else's clothes!-- Pamela

This movie epitomizes my own life. I once was a caterer, and bent over backwards to make sure everyone else's wedding reception was "to die for." Yet, I've had so many disappointments in my own love life, so many that you could write a country-western song that would "just make you cry." I have a younger sister who has expected me to dote over her for all of her life, and she has caused me a ton of grief -- enough that you could write yet another tear-jerking western song. I hooked up my sister with her husband, and he has an enviable job in the limelight, and I haven't gotten the credit I deserve for setting my sister up with such a fantastic guy. Now she lauds this over me in her own special way. Enough said. There are enough similarities in the heroine's life in 27 Dresses that I totally related and adored the movie.-- Sheila

She is like so many women who want to find love but it never comes her way, but when it does, it is better than all the rest.-- Stacey

I loved everything about I really laughed and laughed till I cried during the bar scene-- Benny and the Jets!!! I already own this movie!-- Melody

I have 32.-- Jaime

I have watched this movie over and over. I think so many people can relate to being the wedding 'helper' so many times! The characters are down-to-earth, and the couple at the end is silly, goofy, and imperfect. Wonderful!-- Erika

I love this movie because it'S romantic but also because the casting is amazing ( Katherine Heigl is one of my favorite actresses)!-- Catherine

I love this movie because I see myself and I know that I'll soon marry my prince. I laughed and cried with her and then felt so
happy at the end- just like in real life I'll soon finally be the bride.-- Jacqueline

27 Dresses is one of the best romantic comedies I have ever seen. It also had a great story line. I would recommend this movie to anyone. GREAT MOVIE !!!!! I give it five stars. -- Tonya

I love the whole story line and especially the way it ends!-- Amy

A feel good chick flick.-- Irene

Cast

Katherine Heigl-- Although playing alien hybrid Isabel Evans in the cult sci-fi series Roswell helped to launch her career to a new level, it would be the role of Isobel "Izzie" Stevens on the ABC hit Grey's Anatomy that would skyrocket the actress into the rarefied stratosphere of stardom. The Emmy Award winner, who is now considered one of contemporary cinema's reigning comedic queens, received plenty of practice walking down the aisle in this rom com before she said "I do" to her true love, singer Josh Kelley, in December 2007.
27 Dresses

James Marsden-- Equally as famous for his roles in "chick flicks" as for his foray as a comic book hero in the X-Men franchise, Marsden portrayed a jilted fiance in The Notebook and a fairytale prince in Enchanted before taking on the role of reporter Kevin Doyle. The actor took on the lifelong role of husband to wife Lisa Linde in 2000.

27 Dresses

Edward Burns-- Talented both behind and in front of the camera, this writer/director/actor watched his bride-- supermodel Christy Turlington-- walk down the aisle of Saints Peter and Paul Church in San Francisco on the arm of U2 frontman Bono back in June 2003.
