2008530: New Bond Fragrance In Development

If your guy's a Bond buff, here's your chance to be his Bond girl--with Bond Girl 007 fragrance.

Avon Products, Inc. has a new collaboration with the James Bond entertainment franchise to create a new signature Bond Girl 007 women's fragrance. British actress Gemma Arterton, who plays the role of Agent Fields in the upcoming Bond film, will be the face of the new fragrance when Bond Girl 007 launches globally in October 2008...the same month as the release of "Quantum of Solace" (which is already on our movie-going calendar).

And just how do you bottle the essence of a Bond girl? Here's the description from Avon of the new fragrance and its unique bottle:
The fragrance, created by Firmenich, evokes the glamour, confidence and sensuality of the famous femmes fatale of the Bond franchise. The scent is a sexy cocktail of velvety florals, cool freshness and warm woods. It features top notes of velvety white peach and orange blossom followed by mid-notes of jasmine, calypso orchid and freesia. The drydown consists of amber, cashmere wood and patchouli. Bond Girl 007 is housed in a sleek, seductive bottle reminiscent of a woman's body. The cap is a stealthy homage to a Bond spy gadget.

2008519: Survey Shows Date Spending Will Go On

The current economic situation is on everyone's mind but just how does it impact romance? A nationwide love and money survey by TRUE.com showed that 49 percent of men and 36 percent of women stated they would not curb their dating spending in a tight economy. Only 2 percent of men and 1 percent of women stated that higher gas prices will affect when, where, and how they date.

When it comes to restaurant dining, though, some are looking to save a little money with home-cooked meals. Twenty percent of women and 23 percent of men said they plan to spend less on dining out and focus more on romantic dinner dates at home.

And when it comes to talking about money, the TRUE.com survey found that women are more likely to want to discuss the subject. Thirty-three percent of women said that money talk was their first priority followed by talking about nothing at 29 percent, marriage at 16 percent and sex at 15 percent. The guys, however, had some different ideas. Talking about sex ranked tops at 29 percent followed by nothing at 22 percent and money in third place at 21 percent.
