Emma Thompson Marries in Scotland: Actress Emma Thompson has married Greg Wise at their home in Argyll on the shores of Loch Eck in Scotland.The groom wore a traditional kilt, and the couple's daughter Gaia served as flower girl.

Christopher Reeve Visits Israel: Actor Christopher Reeve was welcomed at the Western Wall. At a gala dinner at Jerusalem’s illustrious King David Hotel, Israel Minister of Tourism Binyamin Elon presented Reeve with a commemorative plaque, and said, "Your visit, and your determination, are an inspiration to Israelis, and I know they will also inspire Americans eager to visit the Holy Land."
 
Reeve's Israel visit was planned in conjunction with Rami Levi, Tourism Ambassador of Israel to North and South America. "Christopher Reeve's visit," says Levi, "along with other recent visits to Israel by high-profile celebrities such as Richard Gere and Whitney Houston, are helping bring about a dramatic turnaround in tourism to Israel." Julia Roberts & hubby celebrate 1st anniversary: Actress Julia Roberts and husband Danny Moder headed to the remote island of Pantelleria to celebrate their first anniversary. The tiny isle is located off the coast of Sicily.

Brad & Jennifer on Malta: Actor Brad Pitt has been working on the island of Malta for his role in the upcoming movie Troy. He was joined by his wife, actress Jennifer Aniston, and the couple is reported to have fallen in love with the island, even going so far as to look local real estate together. Royal Getaway: The island of Majorca was the setting for a recent getaway for King Abdullah II of Jordan and his wife Queen Rania of Jordan. Reports are the couple enjoyed swimming with their children at the beach, and Queen Rania got to take in a little shopping in the capital of Palma. England: French football hero Thierry Henry and model Nicole Merry tied the knot on July 5th at a destination wedding in Berkshire. Highclere Castle was the setting for the vows, witnessed by 200 guests. The Castle is located on a 3,000-acre Victorian estate owned by the Earl of Carnavon, whose great-grandfather discovered the tomb of King Tut in 1922.

Bahamas: Hollywood star Jerry Orbach takes five at Sandals Royal Bahamian: When he is not locking up the bad guys on NBC's "Law & Order" actor Jerry Orbach likes to unwind at the Five Star Diamond award-winning Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort & Spa. Pictured with wife Elaine and Resident Manager Peter Brauer, the Orbachs soak in a little Bahamian sun at one of the actor's favorite vacation spots.

Israel: Near the close of her week-long vacation in Israel, pop-superstar, Whitney Houston, traveled to the Galilee yesterday to be baptized in the River Jordan. Houston, accompanied by her husband, singer Bobby Brown, and their 10-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, arrived in Israel on May 25. 

In addition to what Houston characterizes as a "spiritual retreat" in the Red Sea resort of Eilat, the three visited friends and family among the African-American "Black Hebrew" community in the Negev city of Dimona, and visited  locations for the HBO Whitney Houston Israel Christmas Special she will film in November.

On Monday, Houston flew to Jerusalem to pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. During their meeting, Houston told the Prime Minister that "Israel is home--it's friendship. I've never experienced it this way in any other country. It's absolutely beautiful." 

Prior to their trip, the Browns met in Las Vegas with Rami Levi, Tourism Ambassador of Israel to North and South America, to coordinate elements both of the visit, and of the HBO Christmas special.

In Jerusalem, Brown also met with Israel's Tourism Minister, Binyamin Elon, and got a sneak preview of the Ministry's new advertising campaign to be launched in June in the United States. The campaign's dual message is "Don't Put Your Soul on Hold" and "Follow Your Heart to Israel Now." Asked by reporters about his trip, Brown responded, "We'll bring every one of our friends. Barbados: Actress Liv Tyler and musician Royston Langdon exchanged their wedding vows in a private ceremony on the island of Barbados on March 25th. Kauai, Hawaii: On May 3rd, Friends star Matt LeBlanc exchanged vows with former model Melissa McKnight in a clifftop ceremony overlooking Anini Beach. Held at sunset with lighting provided by the final rays of light as well as tiki torches, the ceremony was attended by several Friends costars and numerous other celebs.

Negril, Jamaica: Actress Jolene Blalock, who plays a Vulcan science officer on UPN's ''Enterprise,'' married longtime boyfriend Mike Rapino. President Clinton Warms Up to Sandals: The new Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa & Beach Resort hosted President William Jefferson Clinton, Sat. Jan, 18, 2003. President Clinton was visiting as the guest of honor at a dinner hosted by the Government of St. Lucia, where he adressed over 200 public and private sectors leaders in the resort's Sunderland Ballroom. Founder and Chairman of Sandals and Beaches Resorts, Gordon "Butch" Stewart, met with President Clinton and welcomed him to the new resort by naming a suite in his honor. While at the resort, President Clinton greeted each hotel guest, took a trip to the Castries Market and even managed to play a little golf. After a gala dinner, President Clinton spent the night in the new "William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Suite."
