Lucky at cards,
unlucky at love? It seems that old adage does not hold true
for actress Demi Moore, who tried her luck at London's
swank casino Fifty while her significant other Ashton Kutcher
was in town promoting his latest movie, Guess Who.
Rumor has it that actor David Schwimmer has also been
seen at the casino with his latest "Friend", former
"Sex and The City" star Kim Cattrall. Another celebrity
couple betting on love is actress Drew Barrymore and
her boyfriend Fabrizio Moretti, who threw the dice at the Hard
Rock Hotel & Casino in Sin City. Meanwhile, Drew's "Never
Been Kissed" co-star Michael Vartan was also Vegas-bound
in the month of April, putting on his best poker face against
fellow players Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire during a
celebrity tournament held at the Bellagio Hotel. "Desperate
Housewives" star Eva Longoria was the cat's meow
at Caesar's Palace, becoming a Vegas vixen for one night as
the guest hostess at The Pussycat Doll Lounge. Eva follows in
the footsteps of other A-listers who have strutted their stuff
with The Pussycat Dolls, including Carmen Electra, Gwen Stefani,
Christina Applegate and Christina Aguilera. During their stay
in The Eternal City, lovebirds Penelope Cruz and Matthew
McConaughey were spotted on The Spanish Steps, a site made
famous for romance in the Audrey Hepburn/Gregory Peck classic
Roman Holiday. Ironically, Penelope's former flame Tom
Cruise would be at the same locale only weeks later with the
new lady in his life, actress Katie Holmes. Hollywood's latest
couple stayed at the Hotel Hassler, which is perched atop The
Spanish Steps. Although still not
officially a couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have
been causing a paparazzi frenzy with sightings at the Parker
Palm Springs Hotel followed by an African excursion, where they
lodged at the exclusive Alfajiri Villas. Weeks before slipping
a $500,000 engagement ring on her finger, Ben Affleck
whisked "Alias" actress Jennifer Garner away
for a romantic getaway at the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur. Everyone needs to
escape the pressures of everyday life on occasion, and Britney
Spears and husband Kevin Federline found their own oasis
during a two week stay at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain
in Paradise Valley, Arizona, where the four month pregnant pop
princess indulged in several spa experiences. Mid-April brought
romance to The Ritz Hotel as footballer David Beckham
and his wife Victoria Adams stayed in the Paris landmark's
"posh" Coco Chanel Suite in celebration of the former
Spice Girl's thirty-first birthday. Summer is on its
way, and A-list celebrities are already working on the perfect
tan. Clive Owen, star of Sin City and King
Arthur, basked in the sun's rays along with his wife and
children while on a recent vacation to Barbados.....Channeling
the sex appeal of '80s TV hunk Sonny Crockett, Colin Farrell
(who will soon be seen on the big screen as the pastel-clad
detective) was spotted enjoying playtime with his toddler on
Miami Beach....."Underworld" star Kate Beckinsale
was a bronzed beauty on the beach at Cabo San Lucas, where she
vacationed with her husband and young daughter.....Rebecca Romijn's
main squeeze Jerry O'Connell was seen riding the waves
atop a surfboard in Santa Monica, California. Despite losing two
of the diamonds from her engagement ring over the past few months,
wedding bells could ring at any time for "Closer"
star Jude Law and fiancee Sienna Miller, who took advantage
of a break in their hectic schedules for an exotic excursion
to Marrakesh, Morrocco, where the couple lodged at the Kasbah
Agafay Hotel, a renovated fort originally constructed one hundred
and fifty years ago. Enjoying the last
of the season's snow, perennial heartthrob Hugh Grant
and his lady love Jemima Khan took to the slopes recently
at the Val d'Isere ski resort on the French/Italian border. After their October
2004 wedding Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren floated away
on a Cribbean honeymoon, and this April the newlyweds once again
boarded their yacht "Privacy" for a getaway to the
Cayman Islands. His father away
on a Scottish honeymoon, Britain's Prince Harry jetted
off for a romantic rendezvous in Botswana with his South African
girlfriend, Chelsy Davy. The couple, who have been separated
by miles and will soon be parted by duty as the third in line
to the throne begins training for a military career at Sandhurst
Academy, spent time in the city of Maun before embarking on
a rugged adventure at Shakawe Fishing Lodge, where the lovebirds
camped out under the stars in a tent and fished in the Okawango
River. Prince Harry's cousin
Zara Phillips, who caused a fashion frenzy in a Pucci print
ensemble at the wedding of Charles and Camilla, may soon walk
down the aisle herself with beau Mike Tindall. The couple were
spotted at Cheltenham Races, sparking talk that Zara will follow
in her mother Princess Anne's footsteps and will try out for
the 2008 Olympic British equestrian team. Texan temptress
Anna Nicole Smith got in touch with her Southern roots
recently when she made a pilgrimage to Graceland in Memphis,
Tennessee. The home of the king of rock and roll is currently
gearing up for Elvis Week 2005, which will be held August 8-16.
