Journey Behind the Falls
from the Niagara Falls Honeymoon Planner

Want to get close--really close--to the falls? On the Canadian side, you'll want to visit Journey Behind the Falls.

You'll purchase your ticket at Table Rock Visitors Center (left). Be prepared for lines during peak hours; the line doesn't just include the ticket line but also plenty of lines inside. We visited late in the day and were able to breeze through in just a few minutes.

Once you've purchased your ticket, you'll enter and have your photo taken, one that's available for purchase before you leave. (OK, it's cheesy, but the picture puts the two of you right AT the falls thanks to digital placement. We'd been trying for days without any luck to get a picture of us at the falls...without fellow tourists...so had to buy this one.)

You'll soon be handed your disposable raincoats. . Be prepared to get wet but this attraction isn't a soaker like Maid of the Mist.

Finally you'll descend down an elevator for the self-guided tour.

Tunnels Behind the Falls

Walk through tunnels carved behind the Horseshoe Falls to get right up to the falls.

You'll be able to peek out from behind the falls at two points; at a third point, you'll walk outside and be right at the base of the falls.
