January:

Niagara Icewine Festival. Taste the unique specialty of the region at this nine-day festival celebrating icewine.

February:

Days of Wine and Roses. Made for romantics, this event stretches throughout the month of February in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

March-November:

Shaw Festival. Three theaters showcase the plays of George Bernard Shaw and his contemporaries in this popular festival.

May:

Niagara Folk Arts Festival. Holding the title of Canada's oldest cultural festival, this event spans over two weeks of dances, pageants, exhibits and more.

June:

Niagara New Vintage Festival. This festival celebrates the new wines of the year at 35 area wineries.

July:

Folklore Festival. For three decades, this festival has celebrated the cultures of Welland with food and entertainment.

Prince of Wales Stakes. Held at the Fort Erie Racetrack, this important horserace is the third in the Triple Crown of Canada.

Riverwalk Music Festival. Fort Erie celebrates summer with jazz and blues along the riverwalk.

September:

Niagara Wine Festival Now in its sixth decade, this annual event marks the fall harvest with over 100 special events including the Grande Parade, one of North America's largest street parades.

Niagara Food Festival What's wine without food? This event showcases the creations of over three dozen local restaurants, accompanied by local wines.

November-New Year's:

Winter Festival of Lights The Niagara Falls Parkway comes to live with over 100 light displays to celebrate the season.
