April 2007 -- Actress Melanie Lynskey, who portrayed
Jacqueline De Ghent in "Ever After," the 1998 cinematic retelling
of the Cinderella fable, enjoyed her own fairy tale wedding on April
14, 2007, when the New Zealand native returned to her homeland to become
the wife of actor Jimmi Simpson, to whom she had been engaged since
January 2006.
Emily Deschanel, star of the FOX series "Bones,"
was among the group of nine attendants who walked down the aisle at
Chapel By The Lake, a stone structure in Queensland which offers a view
of Lake Hayes, before the bride, who currently appears on the small
screen in the FOX drama "Drive" and the CBS comedy "Two
and a Half Men," made her grand entrance.
The bride wore a gown created by designer Trelise Cooper,
whose fashions have graced the silhouettes of such stars as Julia Roberts
and Keisha Castle-Hughes.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds began their happily
ever after with a reception held at Stoneridge Estate, a five star bed
and breakfast located a short distance from the chapel.
