On July 4, 1997, actors Tori Spelling, Brian Austin
Green, and Tiffani Thiessen once again gathered together in the 90210
zip code as Ian Ziering, their co-star from the iconic FOX show, said
"I do" to model Nikki Schieler in the garden of L.A.'s famed
"Pink Palace," The Beverly Hills Hotel.
Wearing a dainty garland of blossoms in her hair, a flower
girl clutched a small white basket and began to walk down the aisle
ahead of bridesmaids dressed in champagne-hued Bill Levkoff creations.
Three hundred guests rose from their seats as the bride, holding on
to a bouquet of orchids and French roses, made her entrance in an ivory
silk design by Sandra Johnson Couture.
The model's chapel-length veil, which was fastened to
a tiara adorned with peridots and citrines, gently brushed the pathway
as she walked toward the altar, where the groom, wearing a classic black
Gingiss Formal Wear tuxedo, waited to make her his wife.
During the Jewish ceremony, the "Beverly Hills,
90210" star pledged his love and slipped a pear-shaped diamond
ring from Barry Kagasoff jewelers on to his bride's finger.
The flirtatious flutter of butterfly wings marked the
conclusion to the nuptials as 750 monarchs were set free into the evening
sky while the newlyweds made their way to the hotel's grand ballroom,
where family and friends dined on filet mignon, seared tuna, lobster
ravioli and goat cheese salad. As guests sampled slices of a Rosebud
Cakes-created confectionary chronicle of the couple's love story, featuring
their October proposal in a pumpkin patch on a wedding cake fashioned
in the form of a storybook, the newly-dubbed Mr. and Mrs. Ziering took
to the dance floor to sway to the music of Luther Vandross' "Here
and Now."
