For Tinseltown twosome Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin, when the time arrived
to choose a wedding venue, there was no place like home. On March 29,
1997, as the sun set over the City of Angels, the former "Melrose
Place" cast member donned a body-conscious ivory Vera Wang creation
and walked out into her own back yard, where 175 guests, including Tori
Spelling, Jennifer Tilly and Tony Danza, waited beneath the shelter
of a sheer white tent.
Once inside, the bride's diaphanous veil, which trailed
behind her, gently brushed the fragrant rose petals that had been scattered
in her honor as she made her way toward the former "L.A. Law"
star, who wore a black-on-black Gucci ensemble for the occasion.
Their candles illuminating the darkening sky, family
and friends encircled the couple as they read from Kahlil Gibran's "The
Prophet" and pledged their devotion, forming an unbroken bond of
love as the bride and groom presented each other with platinum wedding
bands by jeweler Phillip Press.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds embarked on a honeymoon
excursion to Mexico.
