Kerry Katona's Gretna Green Wedding
February 2007-- In days of old, blacksmiths in Gretna
Green would unite young lovers in holy matrimony over an anvil. On Valentine's
Day 2007, former Atomic Kitten member Kerry Katona carried on this Scottish
tradition as the singer pledged her devotion to Mark Croft as they stood
over the iron implement housed inside the Forge Chapel. This stone structure
stands on the grounds of Mill Hotel, an 18th century farm and millhouse
which today has a new life as a 32-room inn and restaurant.
Only three other guests bore witness to the evening nuptials
in which the bride, who will welcome a baby daughter into the world
next month, received a wedding band to accompany the engraved engagement
ring she received from her beau in March 2006 after a five-week courtship.
