Jill Halfpenny's Newcastle Wedding
February 2007-- Jill Halfpenny, a former cast member
on the long-running British drama "Eastenders" and the winner
of "Strictly Come Dancing," waltzed down the aisle of St.
Andrew's Church in Newcastle on February 3, 2007.
Carrying a teardrop bouquet composed of white flowers
interspersed with greenery, the bride made a grand entrance in an off-white
satin creation designed with a plunging v-neckline and a pearl-encrusted
bodice, which was paired with a diaphanous veil that made the TV star
appear as an ethereal visiion as she made her way past 100 guests to
the altar, where actor Craig Conway, her love of the past five years,
waited to make her his wife.
Following the ceremony, photographer Jeff Ascough, considered
one of the world's top wedding photographers, captured for posterity
the couple's first moments as husband and wife before the happy couple
convened at St. Dominic's Hall for a reception.
