Gary Player Celebrates Golden Anniversary in Hawaii
Jan. 2007 -- During his career, golf legend Gary Player
has won 163 tournaments, but his greatest victory occurred in 1957 when
he took Vivienne, the love of his life, to be his bride. The globe-trotting
couple, who have traveled over 14 million miles during their 50 years
together as husband and wife, reminisced about their Eisenhower era
nuptials in Johannesburg, South Africa as they celebrated their golden
anniversary on January 19, 2007 at the Hualalai Resort in Ka'upulehu-Kona,
Hawaii during the 2007 MasterCard Championship.
The man dubbed The Black Knight, who had donned a top
hat and tails for his wedding, looked relaxed in a white shirt and tan
trousers as he and his wife cut a cake made in their honor at the Hualalai
Golf Club.
