Amy Lee Engaged

Jan. 2007 -- Songwriting has long been employed by Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee as a restorative for her soul, and on the band's latest CD "The Open Door" the Gothic romantic let her new found feelings of joy flow freely into the lyrics of "Good Enough," a track born from her love for a therapist.

Accustomed to exposing her emotions to her fans through the works she pens, on January 9, 2007 Ms. Lee confided in person to Muchmusic audience members and the Canadian program's television viewers that her muse (known to the media only by his first name, Josh) had knelt on bended knee and asked for her hand in marriage the previous evening.

The Toronto-based proposal has followed an eight-month long courtship. A wedding date has not been announced.
