Robert Lindsay, Rosemarie Ford's UK Wedding
Jan. 2007 -- As the final hours of 2006 drew to a close,
actor Robert Lindsay, the paternal figure on the long-running Britcom
"My Family," took his love of the past 13 years, actress Rosemarie
Ford, to be his lawfully wedded wife.
A civil ceremony held in the afternoon at the Buckinghamshire
Golf Club was followed by a blessing of their union at St. Mary's Church
in Denham. Actress Zoe Wanamaker, who portrays Mr. Lindsay's spouse
on the small screen, was among the 100 guests who watched by the glow
of candlelight as the bride, dressed in a crimson gown enhanced with
black illusion, walked down the aisle toward the groom, who had donned
a three-quarter length, black velvet jacket for the occasion.
The newlyweds began both the New Year and their new life
together as husband and wife with a honeymoon excursion in Marrakesh.
