Lucy
Davis's St. Paul's Cathedral Wedding
December 2006-- Actress Lucy Davis
was a vision in white as she stepped out of a black London taxi cab
and on to the steps of St. Paul's Cathedral on the afternoon of December
9, 2006. Escorted on the arm of her father, comedian Jasper Carrot,
(whose OBE title enabled his daughter to wed at the same fairy tale
setting where Prince
Charles and Lady Diana Spencer said "I do" in 1981), the
bride walked past 300 guests, including her former co-stars on the Britcom
"The Office," Martin Freeman, Mackenzie Crook and Joel Beckett,
on her way to the altar, where actor Owain Yeoman waited to make her
his wife.
The reverential strains of "Guide
Me O Thou Great Redeemer" and "Jerusalem" echoed within
the Sir Christopher Wren-designed house of worship during the 50-minute
ceremony, when the groom slipped a wedding band on his bride's finger
to accompany the diamond solitaire on a band of white gold which he
had presented to her in June 2006.
