Falak's Malaysian Wedding
November 2006 -- Each year,
the arrival of November 8th would bring sadness to Malaysian actress
Sazzy Falak. Once thought of only as the anniversary of her grandfather's
passing, the date now marks the beginning of her new life as the wife
of TV host Nazril Idrus. Engaged since May 2006, the couple exchanged
vows during an evening ceremony held at the family home of the bride
in Damansara Heights.
Several post-wedding festivities
were scheduled for the days following the nuptials. On November 11th,
family and friends gathered at Saloma Bistro Theatre, a dining establishment
named in honor of one of Malaysia's top movie stars of yesteryear. One
day later, guests convened at the Sheraton Subang, a 5-star sanctuary
which offers a 14,887-square-foot banquet space.
One final reception for
the groom was held at Kuala Lumpur's Restaurant Seri Melayu before the
newlyweds embarked on a honeymoon to Mauritius.
