October 2006 -- On October
20, 2006 Brit pop's brightest entertainers gathered at The Priory, a
barn in Hertfordshire which was constructed in the 16th century by a
carpenter for the royal family, to witness the wedding of Liberty X
member Michelle Heaton and Pop Idol's Andy Scott-Lee.
Acting as bridesmaids, the
singer's band mates Kelli Young and Jessica Taylor, along
with model Jordan,
made their way toward the altar before Ms. Heaton, looking through the
blusher of a diaphanous veil which rested upon brunette tresses styled
by Rainbow Room in Glasgow, made her grand entrance in an oyster-hued,
pearl-bedecked gown.
As the bride pledged her
love, the tears which filled the singer's eyes twinkled in the light,
mirroring the glitter of her jewelry by Stephen Webster, who also designed
Christina Aguilera's
engagement ring. The groom, who donned a white morning suit with a gold
waistcoat for a touch of color, also shed tears of joy as he declared
his eternal devotion in a civil ceremony.
Following the nuptials,
the newlyweds and their guests, including Girls Aloud member Sarah Harding
and Pop Idol's Michelle McManus, topped off a feast of smoked salmon
and lamb cutlets with slices of apple pie and ice cream.
