German Television Star Weds in Vienna Who: German
television presenter Verona Feldbusch and Franjo Pooth When: The couple
chose September 10, 2005, the second birthday of their son San
Diego Pooth, as their wedding date. Where: The
couple, who had been wed in a civil ceremony at the San Diego
Court House in San Diego, California on May 18, 2005, exchanged
vows during a religious ceremony held inside St. Stephen's Cathedral
in Vienna, Austria. The Ceremony: The clatter of hooves from six white horses heralded the arrival of the bride, who waved at the spectators lined up in order to catch a glimpse of the TV presenter as she stepped out of a blush pink carriage, which had been adorned for the occasion with garlands of flowers and greenery. The bride strolled across a red carpet leading to the entrance of St. Stephen's Cathedral, a Gothic-style architechtural masterpiece where approximately 300 guests waited to witness the religious service. Showered with rice
as they exited the house of worship, Verona released white doves
before leaving the scene in the pink coach, this time with her
husband by her side. The Dress: Clutching
a tiny woven basket, the bride's young son sprinkled rose petals
along the aisle before Verona began her walk toward her intended
in a snow white, off-the-shoulder Karl Lagerfeld creation with
a body-hugging bodice which flowed into a billowing ballgown skirt
with a train. A cascading bouquet of pastel roses completed the
fairytale look. The groom looked dapper
in a suit by Baldessarini, who provided an identical, miniaturized
version of the garment for the groom's son. Fun Fact: Verona Feldbusch has her own line of intimate apparel and costume jewelry, Verona's Dreams, which can make any woman feel like a star on her wedding day. |
