August 2006-- On August
12, 2006, the regal notes of Pachelbel's Canon in D Major heralded Erica
Dahm as the bride made her entrance in the Beverly Hills home of TV
self-help guru Dr. Phil, the man who would soon be her father-in-law.
Seventy guests looked on as the bride made her way down the aisle in
an ivory creation by American designer Chado Ralph Rucci, which was
accented with golden embroidery and pockets hidden away in the skirt's
folds, adding a relaxed touch to the fairy tale ensemble.
Ms. Dahm exchanged self-penned
vows with "Renovate My Family" host Jay McGraw in an angelic
environment of white swags and candlelight created by Revelry Event
Design's Edgardo Zamora, who has concocted the romantic ambiance for
the weddings of Shaquille
and Shaunie O'Neal and Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.
As the couple were united
in matrimony, the groom slipped a wedding ring on to his bride's finger
to accompany the five-carat diamond and emerald
engagement ring which had graced her hand for the past year.
Following the nuptials,
the newlywed's families, who had gathered prior to the occasion for
a rehearsal dinner at Republic restaurant, joined the other guests at
a reception held at The Beverly
Hills Hotel, where the Kenny Chesney tune "Me & You"
echoed in the ballroom as the couple enjoyed their first turn on the
dancefloor as husband and wife.
