Ant
McPartlin's British Wedding
July 2006 -- A 10-year
romance led to an exchange of vows for British TV presenter
Ant McPartlin and the love of his life, Lisa Armstrong, who
were united in matrimony on July 22, 2006 at the altar inside
St. Nicholas Church in Taplow, Buckinghamshire, England. Best
man Declan Donnelly stood by his friend and co-presenter, watching
as bridesmaids in pink midi-length dresses walked down the aisle
ahead of the bride, who made her entrance in an ivory silk creation
by Stuart Parvin, its beauty enhanced by a delicate lace shrug.
During the 40-minute
ceremony, the groom slipped a wedding band on to his bride's
finger to accompany her square-cut diamond Tiffany engagement
ring.
Following the mid-afternoon
nuptials, family and friends gathered at Cliveden House, the
former residence of Lady Nancy Astor which movie buffs will
recognize from "Help!," the 1965 comedy starring The
Beatles, and the 2005 Dame Judi Dench comedy "Mrs. Henderson
Presents," for a feast featuring smoked salmon and fillet
of Aberdeen Angus beef topped off with creme brulee and assorted
fruit.
