Lights, Big City author Jay McInerney chose The City of
Light for his June 21, 2006 proposal to the woman who illuminates
his world, Anne Heart. As first reported by The New York Post's
Page Six, the literary voice of the '80's generation presented
his love with a four-carat, emerald cut sparkler, which had
been tucked away inside an appetizer at Restaurant Plaza Athenee.
The couple has yet to announce a wedding date.
