Hugh
O'Brian's Old Hollywood Wedding
June 2006 -- On
June 25, 2006 actor Hugh O'Brian, best known for the 1950's
TV classic "The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp," wed
Viginia Barber, his love of the past 18 years, in a ceremony
that paid homage to Old Hollywood. Tinseltown legend Debbie
Reynolds performed for the 300 guests ( John Wayne and Pope
John Paul impersonators among them) who gathered to witness
the couple vow "'til death do us part" in the Hall
of The Crucifixion-Resurrection. The wedding venue is located
in Glendale, California's Forest Lawn Memorial Park, the 300-acre
property that serves as the final earthly home such silver screen
icons as Jimmy Stewart, Clara Bow and Humphrey Bogart.
As the presence
of friends was all the couple needed to make their happy day
complete, those who attended "A Wedding To Die For"
were requested to donate to the groom's charitable organization
HOBY (Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership) in lieu of wedding gifts.
