June 2006 -- On
June 24, 2006, as the rays of the evening sun illuminated the
vibrant stained glass windows lining the walls of San Gabriel,
California's Church of Our Savior Episcopal Church, which was
once a place of prayer for the family of General George S. Patton,
seven flower girls in ballerina-length dresses began to walk
down a red carpet aisle. Their cherubic countenances were enhanced
by the delicate halo wreaths which rested on their heads.
"Desperate
Housewives" stars Eva Longoria, accompanied by beau Tony
Parker, and Felicity
Huffman with her husband William H. Macy stood up from the
rows of wooden pews as the voice of the bride's sister singing
the poignant words to "Only Love Remains" heralded
the arrival of actress Marcia Cross. The bride clutched a bouquet
of white roses and peonies as she made her way toward the altar
in an off-white Reem Acra creation, its beauty accentuated by
Neil Lane diamond jewelry.
Following the star's
exchange of vows with Tom Mahoney, guests gathered in two ballrooms
of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Pasadena, where they dined beneath
the glitter of crystal chandeliers which dangled from gracefully
arched ceilings.
As the festivities
drew to a close, the newlyweds retired to the hotel's Tournament
of Roses suite, as reported by US Magazine online. Upon their
return from their honeymoon, the couple will be busy composing
thank you notes to family and friends for gifts chosen from
their wedding registry wish list at Geary's in Beverly Hills.
